Im dont want to be a giant jerk, but I left this office today very pissed. Long story: Over the past few years Ive developed a sensitivity to shaving/waxing and my hairs become easily ingrown. I walked in wearing an ace bandage around my leg because it hurt too much to walk. Ive been through antibiotic cycles, Ive tried gently exfoliating, Ive used topical steroids and have had steroid injections to the affected area but nothing has really helped. The doctor, Adrian, became unpleasant when I told him I wished to try laser hair removal as a possible treatment option because I dont want to take pills indefinitely. He basically said I was incurable and we could only manage the situation.... That, first off, is not a professional way to speak to a patient. You should try all possible treatments and before deeming someones situation a lost cause. It made me feel terrible and far less hopeful about the future. I told him that my insurance company just needed him to deem LHR as a medically necessary procedure and he flat out said no, we dont communicate with the insurance companies. Then why would your receptionist, who I booked this appointment with weeks ago, tell me that was an option when I explained the situation? Why did I just waste the last three weeks of my life, my sick leave, and a copay to be turned around almost immediately and shown the door? He could of at the very least given me a cortisol shot while I was there to help with the inflammation. But no. All he gave me was attitude. Im never coming back here and my advice to anyone thinking about coming- make sure you talk to several different people about their policies and procedures before you waste your money. :(

Worst experience in my life coming into a professional office like this. The front desk staff and doctors were fine, but the billing manager... SHEEESH IVE NEVER! So long story short: There was a long heated argument over the phone about how she (billing manager) was giving me false information into doing something later that was indeed not by protocol and illegal. She kept saying that I was misunderstanding her because of her broken English. Which is not true because both me and the front desk worker heard her say these things word for word. Clearly making my point, the billing manager is disagreeing and still being really stubborn. After rudely hanging up on me she finally came to her senses, called me back and understood what she was dealing with. Then we both settled on a resolution and that was that. Look, In all honesty I understand this lady was just trying to help me in anyway, but if I get denied with (illegal) information given by her then you bet your ass Im going to fight this!

This place is commercialized. They are more focused on making money than actually helping people with skin conditions. If you have an actual medical problem, i.e. eczema or psoriasis, DO NOT GO HERE. Went here to see if there were new medications for eczema and the doctor couldnt tell if I had eczema or psoriasis. Her method of diagnosing a sensitive skin disease was to perscribe medicine for both to see which is effective, without considering if that treatment could worsen the problem. So, either she wants to make money, or shes vastly incompetent. My bet is on the first. A 10 year old with google could diagnose eczema vs psoriasis, its hard to beleive a real doctor with a degree could fail to do so.

The professional staff were kind and attentive. However the the billing person submitted to our insurance $216.00 for the removal of a tick. Wow! Of course the insurance company paid nothing towards this. When I called to see if the office would adjust the balance, even being willing to pay some of it, (my husband was not informed of the charge or given an option not to have the tick removed, I would have charged nothing to do it) they wouldnt budge. "That is the charge in order to get money out of the insurance company." When I asked to speak to the doctor, the billing lady said, "You can but I am the billing person and its not going to be adjusted." Wow again! Good Bye Columbia Dermatology

First I was misdiagnosed with eczema and was given a prescription for a $230 steroid ointment that didnt do anything for it. Turns out I have psoriasis and a simple $8 jar of coal tar did the trick. But they also scanned me for melanoma, the doctor cut out a mole that Ive had ever since I was a young child claiming it was melanoma, maybe I cant argue with a professional but I am certainly skeptical. From cutting out something that may not have even been melanoma it left an embarrassing large risen scar on my shoulder and the scar cream I was prescribed didnt help clear it up. Ill never go back there again, I dont think they know what they are doing.

Havent even seen them yet, called to make an appt and the lady on the phone had the worst attitude, almost to point that as if i was wasting her time asking her questions. Where has proffesionalism gone? Afer her irritating communication, I told her I would call back and she just hung up! Please train your front desk on courtesy and proffesionalism!

Called and made an appointment for 9:15. After having a little trouble finding the place, I arrived at 9, filled out paperwork was seen at 9:15. I had a procedure done and was out by 9:40. I saw Jeff Fratalli and he had a nice balance between being personable and professional. Would recommend.
