Terrible experience today ! Was supposed to be my first appt. with her. List of issues : 1.They returned my call to book an appt. after trying to get hold of them by phone - for THREE CONSECUTIVE DAYS and after several voice mails. 2. The doctors office suddenly cancelled the appt. I had booked online using the ZocDoc app on their website - without any reason or even a polite acknowledgement of the error. 3. Anyway, I showed up at the office at 1:30 pm sharp today for my appt. 4. The girl at the reception gave me several papers to fill out and I took probably 10 mins. max.before handing the forms back. It asked me for the usual medical history, insurance info. demographic info. etc. And also paid my $30 co-pay. AND THEN BEGAN THE WAIT....... When someone came out to finally call me inside, I informed her that I had to leave by 3pm latest ( My daughter had a med.appt at 3:10) The nurse (?) did not respond but brought out some filthy BP cuffs and proceeded to check my BP. I have to tell you that I can not tolerate dirty medical equipment - hygiene is a priority for me. But when I pointed this out, the response was , " It is perfectly clean !" And after she had placed it around my bare upper arm, she added in a sarcastic tone, " But I will clean it - especially for you !" Next, I wait in an exam room once again and it is 2:30 pm now. I am getting anxious about my next appt.So I ask the second assistant, " I need to leave latest by 3, my daughter has a medical appt.> Could you please let Dr.Aziz know ?" She gives me an "I dont believe this ! " look and a smile of " Do you really expect me to ??" I am waiting...... minutes tick by....the floor is dirty and and so are both chairs in the tiny room. I am waiting dressed in the paper gown.....and decide that I will need to put on my dress no later than 2:50. At 2:50 I peep out and again remind the assistant about my daughters appt.< "Could you please let her know that I have only 10 more minutes before I absolutely need to leave?" She finally nods and leaves. The hands of my wrist watch have moved to 3:01 now and as I open the door, Dr.Aziz saunters in, " How are you doing today?" I looked my watch and told her that it did not really matter because I need to leave now. Dr.Aziz laughs out loud," But your papers were turned in at 1:51 ! See, it is noted here " and points to the form. At this pount, I my patience is exhausted, " Dr.Aziz, I had an appointment with you at 1:30 and I have been waiting from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. I do not time to see what is noted on your papers and why it is important. Thank you! As I am leaving the area, I hear a high pitched laughter, " OK, Thats fine with me!" I still cant believe this was for real - is it possible for a doctor to be so disrespectful of anyones time ?

I chose Dr. Aziz for my first pregnancy and delivery due to her bedside manner. Every time I had an appointment with her she had the same happy and upbeat demeanor which was great, however we have had so many billing issues that all positives have pretty much been squashed. If you choose to come here, just know that you need to budget about 2 hours of wait time for a 10 minute appointment. There was only ever one nurse that I liked the rest were just caty and rude. Now I was induced, which was a terrible experience in and of itself. But I was induced based off of the recommendation of a different doctor that did my ultrasound. He told me to go to the hospital to be checked to see if I was leaking amniotic fluid, but Dr. Aziz called me while I was at home waiting for my husband to take me to the hospital saying that the other doctor recommended I be induced. Honestly I dont remember them checking to see if I was leaking fluid once I was at the hospital, but I was admitted Friday night, I didnt give birth until Monday morning. I had to be induced not once, but twice. My baby just wasnt ready. When Dr. Aziz finally got to break my water the first words our of her mouth were "wow, you did not need to be induced" hearing that late at night on Sunday after going through Hell for 2 days already was not what I needed. I feel like due diligence must not have been done and that me being induced could have been prevented because this couldve just as easily ended with my baby in distress and me needing a c-section. Next, after healing from tearing I developed granulation tissue. Dr. Aziz didnt know what it was so she sent me to an oncologist in Baltimore and I was tested for stds. Once she learned it was granulation tissue, which mind you is extremely painful. I couldnt walk for very long, I couldnt pee without crying, she told me Id have to wait for it to heal on its own. When I asked how long that would take she said that it varies. So I got on Google and learned it could be removed with a basic procedure. I went to a different OBGYN, had a quick 15 minute wait met the doctor she took one look and told me she could remove the granulation tissue that day! So she did and then all was fine. I chose Dr. Aziz based off of glowing reviews but I wont be coming back or recommending her. Next pregnancy Im looking to go in the complete opposite direction because my experience was so negative. Im looking into using a midwife in a birthing center instead. My birth experience here was so scarring that I dont even want to use her or any other OBGYN, I want to go a different route and use a midwife for my next pregnancy which I think is pretty telling.

Words cant explain how I feel right now about this ignorant FOOL! Shes got the NERVE to quote the late and great Maya Angelou on her website HA!!!!!! (Note: This is a REAL review) I had my first and LAST appointment, a few days ago and I have never been so disgusted in my entire life, for an initial appointment. Homayara Aziz, made me wait for a lengthy amount of time to get seen and forced me to do a certain test that I noted I didnt come in to do nor didnt need to get done. I was initially cold, so I grabbed an extra paper cover to put over my legs, in which she asked me where did I get that extra paper cover from... I told her in the drawer and explained why and she had this stupid look on her face, as if she was ACTUALLY bothered!!!! What kind of petty "doctor" acts that way?! Then she quickly wrapped everything up and was talking fast, gave me some referral papers to get tests done and she was out the door to her next patient! She made me feel uncomfortable, unwanted and disrespected. (Side note...I noticed that she kept looking at my tattoos for some strange reason...very weird). To make the rest of this story short. I decided to go to another radiology place located not far from her office to get seen on the same day, because the list she gave me... didnt have any for the same day, and this was an urgent matter. Later that day, after all those appointments, I called to speak with her about an urgent matter. The front desk basically told me she doesnt return calls unless it was a true EMERGENCY?!!!! So the front desk person would be the middle man and get back in contact with me. Now today, a couple of days later after not receiving a call back. I called again to ask about the non returned callback and about my lab work and radiology results. NOW the front desk states that Aziz wont read my results until I go to the company that she had on the list!!!! I will NOT be forced to do anything from anyone..because you have a partnership or get paid or whatever with this particular group. No one told me that it was mandatory to go to this group and you cannot refuse to read my results just because its not the place where you wanted me to go. So to anyone reading this, PLEASE do yourself the dignity to go to a respectful, CARING, courteous, unselfish OBGYN that is dedicated to serving you and ensuring quality customer service.
