I went to this practice for the first 7 months of my pregnancy. I had several bad experiences with various physicians and midwives, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. For example, they only reluctantly explained to me why certain tests were being done or what the test results were. I finally took my husband, who is a physician, with me to my appointments, and he was better able to get them to explain and give test results. On my second to last visit, the physician gave me blatantly inaccurate medical information because she was too lazy to fully explain preclampsia to me. On my last visit, I asked about the decision making process during delivery. The physician told me that the only medical decision I got to make was whether I wanted pain medication or not. When I pressed further he said that all other decisions (whether to undergo a c-section etc.) were medical decisions for the physician to make and not for the patient to make. I am a law student, and I know this to be legally, ethically, and professionally FALSE. Patients know your rights: You have the right to be informed of the risks and benefits of all medical interventions and to make the choice (its called informed consent), if a physician has not received valid informed consent from you and proceeds to force a medical intervention on you it is illegal (its called battery). In order to force you to undergo a medical treatment you must be declared incompetent, and a surrogate decision maker will be appointed for you by the court. The only exception is in emergency situations where you are unable to give consent (i.e., you are unconscious); in these cases your consent will be implied. You have the right to know the benefits and risks of various interventions and to make your own medical decisions. This right has been upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States which has also recognized the rights of parents to choose how to raise their children which typically includes making medical decisions for them. It is easier, however, for a physician to obtain legal permission to intervene in the medical decisions you make for your children.

BEWARE!!! I went in for a cloposcopy last week and, similar to the other reviews Ive read, was treated like a number. The doctor I saw had ZERO personality, empathy, or emotional intelligence period. It was a very painful experience and I was told that there is a chance that pregnancy could be very difficult depending on the results. Needless to say, that between the pain and emotional shock, I was crying through the entire procedure. The doctor did not ONCE address my emotional state or level of pain. She simply offered me a wipe and towel, and left the room leaving me hysterical, in pain, and full of questions. The only person who treated me like a human being was the medical assistant who said "Ive never seen anyone miscarry who has had part of their cervix removed, the statistics are on your side, good luck". I was told to call back in 1 week for the results (I found it odd that I had to call for biopsy results). I called 6 days later and was told by the receptionist (or medical assistant) that my results WERE in and that the doctor would call me with them. I waited 4 LONG hours and didnt hear back. It has been an extremely long night and I have been very unsettled knowing that she has the answers and doesnt have the time to call. THANKS DR. HAN for treating me like a sandwich on a deli line! Just because youve been doing this since the dawn of time doesnt give you the right to treat YOUR patients like a piece of paper!! Ill be leaving this practice AS SOON as I talk to Dr. Han and get results. Ill take my health, well-being, and money else where!

I just switched my doctor because this place is so horrible. 1st they asked me in August if any of their doctors told me that back in June I had tested positive for a UTI. Nope. Didnt prescribe anything for me. I called the next day asking for a prescription. Per my records and my phone call, I told them I am extremely allergic to pennicillin. The doctor prescribed something for me that is related to pennicillin and my pharmacist, thank God, caught it and refused to give it to me. Then I went in for my 20 week ultrasound all excited. I took off of work for this. Well the lady screwed up my appt time. I had to reschedule for an appt a few hrs from then, go into work, drive to another drs office for the ultrasound, and drive back into work, using 2 xtra hours of leave time that I could have saved for my maternity leave. I went to my new doctor today who is with Penn State Hershey. The office staff were wonderful and the new dr. was extremely thorough. Seems this place forgot to also mention to me that back in June that I tested positive for Group B strep. They also didnt give me some of the necessary testing. I also found out I have a bacterial infection and possible anemia. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE! I was warned by a co-worker who had a horrible mis-carriage experience with them but I gave them a chance. DONT GIVE THEM A CHANCE. They are negligent.

I went to this practice per a recommendation from my family practictioner...I AM SO SORRY I LISTENED! I recently had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy. I went in for my 10 week ultrasound to find that the baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. Dr. Krishnamurthy was the Dr. for my ultrasound and she has the personality and bedside manner of a doorknob. My husband and I basically had to lead ourselves to the conclusion that the pregnancy was no longer viable. As I was crying hysterically she offered me three options as how to proceed, a clean wipe, tissue and left the room for me to change and leave. I havent seen her since...no phone call...no follow up...nothing. The nicest person was Nichol the receptionist. Meanwhile Ive asked multiple times for my labwork with no feedback and asked multiple times for my hcg levels only to find out that they were not tested...WHAT?! I was a new mom with no clue....and Ive learned the hard way to investigate and interview before assuming that the doctor has your best interest at heart. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT A LOVING, CARING AND MEMORIABLE EXPERIENCE, you will be treated like a number...NEXT!

So I have such a huge issue with this practice. I will say Im not their patient but they share an answering service with my OB and I DREAD going into labor when one of these doorknobs is on call. Literally one time I was having a migraine and the doorknob on call couldnt even look up my pharmacy. She forced me to do it because apparently that was too much work for her. They are rude and literally act like they dont have time to comfort a first time pregnant woman. Today I had pitting edema not only did I not receive a phone call within a reasonable amount of time but I had to call back to the call service and it took the on call midwife Kathy an hour to call me back. My doctors on the other hand are fantastic and take the time to talk to me and reassure me when they are on call. If you want rudeness and neglect then by all means use these people. If not RUN! Run far away and fast.
