Our dogs and cats are new patients at Yellow Springs, which was recommended to us by our pet sitter. Weve had appointments for one of our two cats and one of our two dogs thus far. Yellow Springs is located in a relatively new facility just off of Rt 15, north of Frederick and has lots of parking. The waiting area is large with lots of seating, which is very helpful in keeping those pets who "want to be alone" separated from others who might be more friendly. The exam rooms are sizable and include chairs, which is not always the case with some veterinary offices. We found all of the staff to be exceptionally empathetic, professional, knowledgeable, and caring. They conducted thorough, gentle, empathetic examinations, used newer equipment (some we had not seen at other practices like a portable EKG), answered our questions thoroughly, and provided detailed information about what they found, including treatment alternatives. In several cases, especially in regard to our dog, who has some chronic health issues, they made suggestions that we had not heard before (as my wife and I have owned dogs for decades thats not always easy to accomplish). When we asked for cost information on treatment alternatives they provided detailed information and answered all of our questions in a very direct manner and without delay. Yellow Springs has a website with staff bio not only for the veterinarians but also for the support staff. They also have a pet portal. We found appointments easy to get and experienced minimal wait time when arriving for our appointments.

I was nervous about bringing my cat in because I know vet visits can be expensive, but Yellow Springs was up front about costs and didnt pressure me into anything! They explained what was most important and the benefits of the more costly services, but didnt make me feel bad about the less expensive options. They were very reasonable and able to give me the meds for my cat right away! The instructions for giving the meds were very easy to understand. The vet was running a bit late, but she was very good with my kitty and the vet tech did a good job keeping him calm. They let me do what I needed to in order to keep him from freaking out. Its wonderful that they have cat rooms and dog rooms, so that my kitty didnt get too stressed by dog smells. Also, there was enough seating that I could keep him away from the dogs. I was a very good experience, and my kitty is doing very well!

We love YSVC!!! From the friendly smiling faces at the front desk, to the vet techs and the doctors - everyone makes you feel like family. They take their time and are very thorough during visits & are patient and kind while dealing with the many questions we have for them. I have never once dealt with an arrogant or condescending attitude at this office, as I have at others. In fact, on my way to YSVC, I pass two other vet clinics that are at extremely convenient locations for me, but neither of them gives us the personal experience that YSVC does, nor were any of those visits anywhere near as pleasant. The office hours are also a huge plus! Staying open later into the evening has been very convenient for us. They are top-notch, knowledgeable, courteous & compassionate - I wouldnt take my fur-babies anywhere else! Thank you to everyone at YSVC for everything!!!

Weve been going here for years and were pretty pleased with the service. Everyone is friendly and helpful--from customer service to the vet techs and veterinarians (weve seen Dr. Barbour , Dr. Ruppert, and Dr. Kluchurosky, all great). Ive never had an incident with them--in fact, they were very helpful in getting my dog to specialist treatment when it was required. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 would be because my parents had an issue with their cat (they brought pills home from the vets and tried to pill pop them instead of crushing them which resulted in a throat injury to our cat--they said they were never told to crush or break the pills or that pill popping could cause injury in cats) and because of the price for procedures, which I feel is a little high but worth going there all the same.

We have been going to Yellow Springs Veterinary Clinic for 25 years. They take such excellent care and always make us feel like our dog is their favorite! We cant imagine ever going to another vet! Recently, our dog stubbed his paw. One of his toe nails pulled out and broke a blood vessel. Needless to say, there was blood everywhere! We rushed him to the vet and they immediately took him in and worked like an emergency room team, with one staff members job being devoted to keeping Toby calm and loved. Within a matter of minutes, a staff member came out and informed me that everything was going to be ok. The staff make their 4 footed and 2 footed clients feel comforted and cared for. We HIGHLY recommend them!!

Yellow Springs has the most caring vets and techs. My dog actually loves to go to the vet. He wont go to strangers and is fearful of new people. He feels so happy at Yellow Springs even a new tech can approach him. The care and love he receives mean so much to me. I stress out a great deal about his health, as he has a few breed related issues that need monitoring. Yellow Springs allows me to worry less - I know they care and are on top of his issues. We are not just a number at Yellow Springs. The staff knows me and my dog when we call and come in. I also love the later evening hours. This has kept me from visiting the emergency vet more than once!

I love the doctors and techs at Yellow Springs vet! Theyre always so caring to my dog, Lily, and treat her as the patient - not me. They are always very in tune with the needs and fears of Lily who is very old and *very* much the old, crotchety lady. Last year Lily needed some minor surgery and the bets made sure to send me a picture as soon as she woke so I knew she was okay as well as texting me throughout the surgery to let me know what was going on. What sets Yellow Springs apart from so many other vets is that they dont try to upsell products, and that makes them just about perfect. Take your pets here and you will be so happy!

I took my very sick kitty, Gus to the clinic. The treatment was excellent and at each step I was quoted for the cost. After four procedures I am happy to say my boy is back to normal and will be taking medication for the rest of his life. Dr. K and Dr. Geoff were caring and compassionate. Dr. G actually sent a note to me thanking me for bringing such a good cat and entrusting him with his care. The front office and vet assistants were caring and wonderful with my Gus. I never once was concerned that he was receiving the best care.
