UPDATE NOT THERE ANYMORE AMEN. GATHER BETTY AND MARK MUST BE FIRED PERIOD. A OVER HAUL IS NEEDED. OLD NOTE---This program PATHWAYS OF ST MARYS HOLLYWOOD RD is very ignorant, ungodly and UN professional. Just days ago they tried to violate my probation and one staff even stated on the day I was to attend my probation while in the parking lot these words"We are trying to violate Joe" This is malicious intent utilizing an officer of the law" I was in the van and when another consumer told her I was in the van, she had a look of surprise . This action comes as a result of my report to CARF international by way of the coordinator of this program, the coordinator of this program also tried before this to trap me in st Marys hospital on a sudden order of transport. I already knew he was responsible . He use the lies of a new hiar who is only 21 who harassed me in my own house to set this off. I had just got home from a shopping run when 15 min later police showed up at my door with this order. I knew it was malicious. I went there to the hospital and while I was there they confirmed the order by way of the coordinator and the statements of this new girl. I informed them the story of where this was coming from and 5 hours later I was back home. I did hear (however ) that the coordinator stated that he would put my #$% back in there. This girl still works here. The coordinator even sent another staff to me trying to gather information on what I told CARF international about the coordinator which is a violation of the privacy act. When I wrote CARF I told them of the ignorance of this program. The way the staff at the day program especially a certain one who loves talking to consumers like children and even in one case, when I was talking about God, said "We are not talking about God right now, I am trying to do my job. This same person goes to a local church. On 235. They have messed up peoples medications. The coordinator has talked to staff like children as to why some staff left except for one whocleft as a result of day program staff they work with. She signed a sudden resignation and left right then and they didnt even walk her to her car while crying. This same program was giving National Accreditation the very day they tried to send me to the hospital. Go figure. There are others who know what is going on but may not speak because of fear of loosing their jobs or placement in the homes which is a fear tactic. My position in this program is only because I chose to come here from a hospital that the local court the me into . I needed an address and I needed to be near my sick mother so the hospital searched this area and found Pathways and I was even informed about this being a mental health facility. I told them that I did not know but if it was giving me the address as well as being near my mother fine. I had no history before coming to this county. This program has (many times) violated the disabilities act and should be held accountable. They must have out protection for those consumers and hiring criteria for new hiars requiring a medical degree which states they are qualified to handle people with mental health issues .We didnt even have an outing for 8 months while they blew our money on the 8 houses for CARF international. We are just now getting an outing Friday December 9th on the same day we are having state inspection. Not by chance. This while they are getting my social security finance. Something must be done to over haul this program to protect the consumers . GATHER MUST BE ARRESTED FOR ABUSES CONCERNING THE DISABILITIES ACT ASAP. I AM FREE FROM THAT PLACE AMEN FEB 7TH STAND UP PEOPLE USE YOUR RIGHTS

Its a shame I have to leave a negative review for this place, there was no issue with the therapist I saw, unfortunately Pathways as a business is a pain to deal with. The first a most important issue is there is a person who works the front desk that is the most unpleasant person to work with. She has absolutely no customer service skills, is consistently rude and should not be in a position where she is the first person you interact with. Whether her bad attitude or just policy I always dreaded going to Pathways because it was so impersonal, without even saying "Hi" or "Welcome" the first thing said to you when you arrive is "Do you have your co-payment" followed by "How would you like to pay?" I fully understand it is a business and I need to pay for the services, but this is a place of Therapy and Health Services the least you could do is show some sort of common courtesy or decency instead of jumping straight to the part where you take money. Even Walmart has greeters! While I mainly saw a Therapist while I was there, they do have Psychiatrists on staff; unfortunately they are all "tele-psychiatrists" meaning it is a skype-like meeting instead of a true face to face. Personally, that doesnt really bother me and I encourage the use of technology like this, however I thought it prudent to mention as it might turn some folks off. Not sure if there are many, if any, other options in St. Marys County that work with your insurance but if you find literally any other place that could meet your needs I would recommend you try there first.

Its too bad there are not more Psychiatrists in this area. Dr. A was very unprofessional and does not get the patients medical history. Therefore she tries to prescribe medications contraindicated for patients medical issues. This doctor likes to use very strong medications on patients, so make sure you are educated on ALL Psychiatric medications and side effects before taking any medications prescribed by her. Also make sure you bring a mental health advocate because you will need one dealing with her.

Had a decent experience with a therapist there but wasnt a good fit, so decided to move on. My physician, however, was a total nightmare. Wouldnt tell me lab results, told me she couldnt and wouldnt help me and recommended a program that I had already gone to, with awful results. She told me to look for drug trials because I was "untreatable" after one medication regime, which hadnt even been raised to therapeutic dosage, was attempted.

I had the initial interview with the therapist and was given an appointment a few weeks later to skype with the doctor. I drove 45 minutes to the appointment, arrived on time, sat one hour in the waiting room only to be told to come back in 3 weeks. I have plants at my house that I treat with more respect than I have received thus far. One star for returning my phone call.

Terrible experience. It was bad from start to finish. Dr. A was unprofessional and the entire staff seemed incompetent. Usually this level of bad starts at the top!
