Last week, someone called to ask me some questions, because I had applied to get health care under Kaiser and they left messages, on both occasions that they called. I called Friday evening, and was told my application was still pending. I mentioned Kaiser to a couple of people, and they had opposite/extreme opinions. One said because of the feed back, they got when seeking out insurance, they opted to go with and stick with their present insurance, now over 20 years. So I wanted to schedule an appointment while waiting for insurance to be approved, and as I was on the phone for almost an hour, and with Jackie, the last person that I spoke with, when I told her I wanted to schedule an appointment, was put on hold for 15 + minutes, in addition to already being on the phone for 30+, then would you know it, the line went dead; never assuming that someone hung up, until today, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 when after all the strong feed back, I attempted one more time to check status of insurance and made an appointment and get started with my new health insurance. Well, wouldnt you know it; as Dwaina transferred me to the required department to register, after just about 10+ minutes on the phone, yeah, you guessed, the line went disconnected. I would take this personal, but I am not because I am sure there is a good explanation for my call, and time which is important, to be disconnected, not just once on Friday, but yes, again today, Wednesday. As of submitting this rate and review, I have not yet called back. This is just a form of venting as opposed to verbally doing it. It sometimes help to let people know when, where and how they screwed up/or messed up. I only want to get my preventive care under my belt and be done with it.

I dont usually write reviews but Im hoping someone from Kaiser corporate sees this and takes some initiative to improve the level of customer service and plain decency awarded to its patients by the staff here... I hate going to the Kensington location, the pharmacist at this location are so rude they talk about customers right out in the open. Ive seen quite a few doctors at this location and most seem to be irritated by the presence of patients. General surgery and podiatry have the rudest receptionist every! General Surgery is by far the worst i think the receptionist hates me and I have no clue why! Every interaction I have with her is unpleasant no matter how hard I try to be nice she always seems annoyed and gives me attitude. I wish all my appointment could be handled at the Silver Spring location Dr.Katie Ryder is by far the best doctor Ive ever had!! Everytime Im at Kensington I feel like im bothering the staff with whatever medical issues I have. Maybe its because my insurance is thru Government assistance and they dont really consider me a "paying" patient Ive even had an instance where my coverage has been called "cheap". I feel ashamed every time I walk thru the doors, I seriously hate it here

I was sick last Tuesday i called kaiser the following day to book and appointment , and he said that next available appointment was for next monday , i was like thats almost a week then he said someone will call me which didnt happen , i been taking over the counter medication Im better now but my daughter is sick i have tried to book and appointment but nothing sooner then a week, i dont want a know how kaiser will be if it was free or some kind of government help , what a lack of service.

I dont like it, my problem is with physical therapy department. My mom has a really pain on her joint, but when i call to physical therapy the sooner time wsa a month. When we showd there , her treatment was only 15 min and they schedule us for next month again. My other problem is my mim complaining about her knee and her back but they said we can check only one part in each time visit, How is possible, when somebody complaining about pain how u can not visit her

Extremely satisfied and happy with the doctor(Dr.Butler and the anesthesiologist), the staff and the facilities. Medical procedure was performed perfectly and appropriately. It may one of the best if not the best hospitals in the area. My sincere thanks for all the people who took care of me.

I am okay with the medical service there, vision,urgent or ENT are all fine. I guess the main problem is that too many people, busy and narrow space. The PT office was off site before and now back to medical center. I see there is a need for Kensington office to expand, or split offices.

Not sure what the negative reviews are about. Ive had remarkable care there, have truly enjoyed the flexible hours, the healthy eating expo, and so many other features. Ive had serious care and routine check-ups. Its a nice facility, especially for the people.

I went there for a NT ultrasound about two months ago and had an amazing experience. The ultra sound tech and the nurse were very helpful and personable. The ultrasound tech was happy to walk us through the ultrasound and let us know what she was looking at.

Dont call and expect ANYONE there to help about ANYthing pertaining to Medicare. Very very disappointing. I got routed to 7 Different numbers. No One knows how the place works and No One even Listened to my question.

While I am no longer a member, I always received excellent service and felt like I was getting my moneys worth. I definitely miss KPs option to email your doctor and boom appointments online.

This place is awful. It is not well managed, and its lab staff is incapable and rude and no one respects your time. Much much worse than the falls church one, wish I could give a negative rate.
