Avoid this place at all cost. The facility is dirty and run down. There is writing on the walls, stains on the wall from liquid not cleaned up and trash on the floor. The attendants were unprofessional and showed no care for my newborn. We were very surprised when the receptionist took us back to the test room and said she was going to administer the blood draw. She didnt display any medical credentials, nor did she act like a medical provider. Her own attire was dirty and she failed to properly read the doctors medical order. Please avoid this dirty and unprofessional facility.

Try calling this lab prior to going in - forget about it. Noone EVER answers the phone. One day I called at 3:00pm which is their closing time - guess what ?! Someone answered the phone and waited for me to ask my question, then told me they were closed !! They could not help me - they were closed !! So the clock strikes 3:00pm, then they answer the phone knowing full well that they cant help anyone. BUT noone ever answers the phone during the day !!! So try calling to see if theyve received a doctors order for blood work - forget about it !! This place is worthless !!!!!!

This morning I went to have my blood drawn for plenty of lab test. Had an excellent expirience with Ms Edith Lamprey. I happen to be the most extreme coward existing in this world. My mind makes me feel ordinary pain in extreme. Ms Lamprey has put the niddle in my arm without me feeling anything. This is the first time ever. She was gentle, calm and demostrated a warmhearted attitude toward me in spit of my nervousness and anxiety. God bless you Ms Lamprey. The lab opened on time and I was called in sharp at 7:30am.

Ive been twice now since Ive moved to Laurel in January 2012. The first time I went for myself, no wait and the staff was friendly. The second time was for my 12 month old daughter. We did have to wait about 20 minutes, but it was busy and they were moving through people fairly quickly. The staff was extremely friendly, gentle and loving when taking my daughters blood. Great experience considering how worried we were ahead of time. Go at off hours as previously recommended though.

Only blood work lab in the DC area that I ever went to which was not super crowded and delayed, and the personnel were not bitter, mean, or impersonal. I tended to go at off hours, but there was almost never any wait and the people were generally pleasant with me. Was pretty surprised, because my experience of blood work labs has consisted of either bad waits, bad attitudes, or both. Could have been a fluke, or could have just been good management/attitude.

There is no signage to tell you you are in the right place. The building is old, and smells vaguely of marker, carpet cleaner, and air freshener blueberries. Ive been standing at the window for about 4 minutes now. There is no bell.
