I scheduled an appointment for a spefidic eye problem that caused significant vision impairment. I was seen by Dr. Barry Blum, who started by telling me that there is nobody there qualified to deal with this problem - sadly nobody told me that when I explained what I needed and the appoinment was scheduled. I wasted my time and insurance money by going there. Dr. Blum was rude, barked orders and rushed me through the "exam". He was arrogant and condescending, I asked for the copy of my record after the exam, they refused to give it to me. I asked for a my eyeglass prescription after the exam and I was told that Dr. Blum cannot give me one, I would have to see an optometrist to get a prescription. An ophtalmologist who is incapable of writing a prescription for eyeglesses after an exam? Is this a joke?

THe WORST experience. I have insurance. My card was accurate and made a call in the hall to BCBS to confirm my card was accurate. I have a BCBS SILVER plan - NO HMO. The older woman at the back of the desk told me my insurance was not active and yet refused to speak to the BCBS rep on the phone. The BCBS Rep told me they SHOULD KNOW how to call the provider number and get the information and yet the old woman kept refusing to do it and wanted me to sign a contract saying I would pay them. She had no idea what she was doing and told me she was a well trained person. Well, obviously not. Do not waste your time with this place.

for some reason they dont like to do visual field tests, I have had two done at this location and both times , I was put on ignore, the 1st time , I waited almost 45 mins past my scheduled appointment time, I finally got the reception desk to find out what was going on, The person that finally did my test admitted that my file had been repeatedly put on the side, Today was no better, I waited almost 1/2 hr past my appointed time and the reception desk had to locate someone, I dont plan on going back again, my time is valuable to me and evidently they dont care about the patient!

I went here for laser eye surgery. Went from -10 in both eyes to 20/20. Very professional and honest about what can safely be done. Very experienced surgeons.
