I cant say enough good stuff about this team. I had major work that needed to be done. Doc A spent the time drafting a treatment plan, explaining various outcomes, and helping me understand the mechanics/science of what was happening in my mouth that was leading to the problems and what addressing them was going to do. Ive been presented a wealth of information and not pushed to make specific choices but given very practical advice each step of the way. On a visit to visit note, the front desk staff (Q is awesome!) respects my preferences for contact - email and text. I am always greeted with a smile. Ive never had a problem with pricing or billing. I always feel cared for (the Docs will take my late night call when I am worried about the healing related to a procedure I needed done). I may sometimes hate the fact that I need dental work, but I do not hate the dentists. If it werent for them, their caring manner, their expertise, and their clear dedication to their patients Id still be in a world of hurt.

I used to have a great dentist in another city whom I had a great relationship with, and since I have moved to Boston I had visited a couple of dental office but could not reach my previous standard, so I had not been to the dentists for the last couple of years, not even cleaning. And that resulted in cavity (the price to pay for being picky), which I was not aware of before my visit to Chestnut Hill Dental Associates. I visited for dental clean and check up, and found out about the light cavity, so came back for the filling. Dr. A is very informational and helpful. He answered all the questions I had in mind (he guessed them even before I asked him), and was able to give me detailed solutions on the spot. The setup is very cosy and friendly, and front desk Carla is very nice to talk to. Its in a convenient location (right off of E line Reservoir stop). The name is a little misleading because it is in Brighton, and theres another dental place with similar name.

The past few years Ive been moving around the Boston area and trying to find the most convenient dentist in my area. I ended up going to give different dentists until I came upon Dr. Elnazer. Ive never been to a dentist I like before CHDA. Theyre efficient, down to earth (the term gets thrown around a lot but its true, theyre real people with a gift for dentistry) and most of all, did more than just tell me to brush and floss more. The hygienists gave me habit-building advice that worked better than any advice Ive ever received from a dentist. Dont get me wrong, going to the dentist is among my least favorite things to do. But I cannot think of better people to make one of the things I dread the most more tolerable. Ready for my cheesy line that Ill leave you guys reading this review with? Dentistry is about making your teeth healthy and white but only Chestnut Hill Dental Associates can give you a smile. That was the best I can come up with.

Chestnut Hill Dental Associates does not correctly process dental insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield. They use an out-of-date tax ID number such that Blue Cross Blue Shield treats the visit like an out-of-network visit and sends a check directly to you. Both Blue Cross Blue Shield and Chestnut Hill Dental Associates will tell you to sign the check over to Chestnut Hill Dental Associates, but at the same time Chestnut Hill Dental Associates will refile the claim correctly with Blue Cross Blue Shield. In turn, Blue Cross Blue Shield will pay them the in-network price and then demand that you, the insured, return the check that was given to you. Of course, you cant do that because you signed it over already. Chestnut Hill Dental Associates also refuses to cooperate. This leaves you stuck needing to return money you never actually received. Terrible administration of dental insurance. Ive worked for two years to try and sort this out.

I have been coming here for about two months now. I have my 6 month check up and cleaning done here and by far I have no complaints. This is a small family oriented office and they really seem to care about taking the best care of their patients. The doctors are very patient, kind and informative. They worked with me financially which was a bonus and they give the best of the best for a reasonable price. The hygienist is also a bonus she is very sweet and does an amazing job.

I had a routine cleaning and exam and it was a very positive experience with the hygenist and Dr. El Nazer (sp?). The appointment started on time, they were very kind and gentle, and the front desk person made updating my insurance info a breeze. I will be back again in 6 months for my next check up and highly recommend this pratice!

Alaa Ahmed is a wonderful dentist and periodontist. He did my gum surgery last summer and recently replaced my old fillings. He always does an amazing job!! Staff is also super friendly. I highly recommend this place!!
