Marlborough Hospital care is very poor. It has given me nightmares. Very sad that management does not care and staff issues. Very sad they continue to do poor service. I hope someone changes it. So care is better. The claim few times on the phone the blanket warm was to far to get blankets for patients. I was exposed naked with no gowns since staff was to busy. Very sad. to be naked for 1 to 4 hours. What can be down to improve care is cover the patients better with soft blankets. Back in 2005 to 2006 to 2009 that why bring my own blanket in my wheel bag to all my medical appointments people not perfect. Be alert and protect your health from bad people. There is good people but very hard to find today. The work environment for staff and patient to stressful. You need to focus on every call as urgent. For people waiting and complaining donate blood and platelets at umass save a life. Also volunteer your time to do morw to help each other in team work. I would pass out to soft blankets to everyone in pain give theme 5star treatment to make you feel like home but waiting rooms need to be more comfortable. Privacy for people in pain is very important on certain people. But we need more doctors and nurses. Also more young hard work people at the same time. How do we pay for this simple get all businesses to pay for it every countries in the world. Healthcare and security and education is very important. To me. Make America Great Again for doctors and nurse and for the average person. Also police the world in smart way but not stupid way in the past. Try new things to better people lives on postive things.

This hospital has some wonderful staff. From the ER to the cafeteria are some of the most friendly staff. The BIG problem is the management of this hospital at the EMERGENCY ROOM. It is by far one of the WORST place you want to be when you are in pain and need urgent care. It starts at the triage. If you are luck you are quickly registered after you answer a few questions and forms. They will try to get you in registered quickly (to get your info and start charging you as quick as possible). The problem is the WAIT. I have been to this ER about 3 times in the past 5 years and it is always the same problem. You can wait from 1 hour to 4 hours in the "waiting area" before you go inside. Now they came up with the idea to get you inside the inside the ER and have you wait at least 4-6 hours to be seen by a doctor (just to say hello and introduction). This hospital is always busy and I cant believe whoever is in charge of this hospital never cares about getting the right amount of doctors and nurses to get this place working. The ER has about 15 rooms plus 6 beds that they add to the corridors. And the last time I noticed and asked that they will sometime have 1 or 2 doctors for 20+ patients. They are running around like headless chickens trying to attend to the high incoming traffic of patients. Like I said, the nurses and doctors are one of the nicest people you will meet, but the BIG problem is the management of this hospital. It is one of the few in the area for such a high dense population and it is getting worse and worse!

Wrong diagnosis and put on antibiotics I did not need. Staff ignored me when I told them what was going on, M.D. did a CT scan and gave me incorrect diagnosis with 2 day admission. Went elsewhere after discharge because I was still so ill and test redone and proved what I was trying to get through to staff at Marlboro was indeed the problem. They close the first floor every week end for lack of staff and discharge patients to make room for the other patients. Dietary was a night mare with total confusion over patient diets, the floor I was on was disorganized chaos and floor washing took place while the doors of the food cart were open. Staff seems pretty unhappy and verbalize it freely among themselves outside patient doors. The only reason I went here was because I was in severe pain and could not take a longer trip. This is the third misdiagnosis I have had from Marlboro. Clearly, this place is in trouble.By the way, you see the "Hospitalist" once a day and are told nothing of plans for medicines. I found out post discharge that a few of my routine medicines were stopped without my knowledge or agreement. JCAH needs to look into this place without announcing they are coming.

Emergency Room experience: I was treated for a concussion, this was my second one. My symptoms included constant headaches and just feeling "out of it." They saw me right away, I barely waited and was back there for maybe 10 minutes, no longer. They did a quick neurological exam and then insisted that it was "probably" a concussion, no vitals or anything else were checked considering I was in a bed in the middle of the hallway. It was such a rushed process and ended up getting medication for the headache pains. The first time I was diagnosed for a concussion it was at another hospital and the matter was taken so seriously, I was excused from school for as long as I felt needed and was on strict bed rest. Here they made it seem like I was fine to drive, go to school, etc. They were also very unprofessional and the person who discharged me was very rude and couldnt care less about my injury. The only positive thing I experienced was the check in process and registration.

Discharged me after coming in for a kidney stone, never ct scanned me and ended up having a 6mm stone lodged at The exit to my kidney. The Er Dr. Told me that i could stay home and take Tylenol for kidney stones. That is fine if they are 1mm or so. I ended up in in severe pain and had to be transported to a second hospital with a urologist and being under for the procedure to put a tube between my kidney and bladder and push the stone back into my kidney while i wait for the machine to crush it to become available. A long 24 hours of pain that could have been avoided with more attentive Dr.s and a simple scan that takes literally led than 10 min. Worst hospital ever, worst er Dr ever, she totally should have ordered a ct scan... i will never go there again and i will tell everyone else not to either... just terrible. I wish i could give them negative stars in the rating.

In April 2015 I presented to Marlborough Hospital ER with a serious issue. Triage was like a deli; take a number and wait. There was no deference given to the seriousness of the issue - merely first come first served. After waiting hours just to be seen I had to be transported to UMASS Worcester. The terrific team at UMASS Worcester saved my arm from amputation. Two years prior to that my husband was misdiagnosed and sent home with antibiotics. I knew this was incorrect so I drove Jim to MEEI where he was told he was a day away from going blind in his eye due to the misdiagnosis.
