I went to the er on January 23 2016 cause of back pain and an awful belly ache.. At first they seems to show some care but it soon changed.. While I was waiting to see the doctor the nurse came in and told me to pee in cup so they can check for infection.. She left and while I was waiting my finance had a qtip cleaning his ear cuz they bleed sometimes..as he was the doctor came in and gave us both a dirty look and rudely said I just come back another time.. After which he did and said nothing is wrong with u and sent me home.. Just like that.. They didnt do any exams on me never sent me urine out to b checked or anything.. So we went into waiting room and I was waiting for my ride which it was snowing that night mind you and my ride got into an accident.. I then ask the guard if it was ok if we stayed here a while till she showed up.. They then said they didnt know so rude.. As we were setting there one of the women workers came by to talk to the guard and I could hear her bad mouthing me saying she has a zero tolerance for people setting here and there are places for people like us to go.. Im assuming she thought we were homeless.. Which then showed me how that hospital discriminates against poor homeless people.. I just couldnt believe that this African American guard started telling this stranger my personal issues.. I had tears coming out cause I felt belittled by a woman who supposedly dedicates her life in helping people.. Anyways the saint should be taking out of saint Vincents cuz from what I experienced is nothing but evilness, hatefulness and descrimantion against certain people.. What that horrible woman didnt realize was that I been a patient here since they built the hospital but now Im not.. I also see how and why they dont want no one in that er.. The entake ladies spend their nights watching tv and listening to radio along with the guards.. Its like a party every night for them.. What ashame and what an awful experience.. Anyways I had all my insurance changed and I now go to the umass university.

I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS HOSPITAL EVER. NO COMMUNICATION WITH DOCTORS OR NURSES. MY MOTHER 90 WAS A PATIANT THERE AND HAD TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG AFTER SHE WENT TO REHAB AT CARE ONE MILLBURY. TOLD ALOT OF NURSES ABOUT SWALLING PROBLEMS NOT ONE WROTE IT DOWN OR TOLD A DOCTOR. THEN SHE WAS MOVED AND SAME PROBLEM NO ONE KNEW ABOUT IT. THEN THEY DID A TEST AND NEVER TOLD ME WHAT THEY FOUND. WHEN SHE WENT TO CARE ONE THE DOCTOR STARTED TO TELL ME ALL THE PROBLEMS AND I LOOKED STUPID BECAUSE NO ONE TOLD ME ANYTHING. ALSO HAVE TO COMPLAINTS IN BUT SOMEONE KEEPS CALLING WHEN IM NOT HOME BUT WONT LEAVE A MESSAGE TO CALL THEM BACK SO THEY DONT CARE. I GUESS I SHOULDNT EXPECT MUCH. JUST TO LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT I HAVE STILL NOT GOT A SECOND CALL FOR THE SECOND COMPLAINT, I REALLY DONT THINK THEY CARE. SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT THE CEO SHOULD BE CONCERNED AND CARE WHAT HIS EMPLOYEEES DO. AND HOW THEY COMMUNICATE TO EACH OTHER. ITS BEEN OVER TWO WEEKS AND ONLY GOT ONE LETTER FROM THE FIRST CALL THERE LOOKING INTO IT BUT NOTHING ELSE. IM HOPING THAT ONE DAY THEY WILL CARE AND GET THIS RESOLVED AND CALL ME.

I was at St Vincnents on 6/27/17 for out patient surgery. Frankly for most of the day I was treated very well. There were two issues that have me mark my rating down to a very low result. The first is that my surgery was delayed 1 1/2 hours and I got no updates about the status unless my wife went and sought out an update. How difficult can it be to let someone know what is going on. The second and the more severe issues is that at the end of the day I was sent away in sever pain and nauseated with no medication accept to take Ibuprophen. My surgeon is clear he directed that I be given the proper medication. Yet inspite of my concern and his direction, it was like someone was more concerned about getting off at the end of the day than my care. I really felt like I was being pushed out the door with little concern for my well being. Later that evening my Surgeon assured me that St V.s staff is usually pretty good, but that does not alter how I was treated.

I asked for a breast cancer screening, to see if I had a probability of having breast cancer, given my family history. After a thorough screening, the oncologist seemed to think that I should have the blood test done, given my odds. The receptionist at St Vincents Breast Center explained that my insurance company (Blue Cross) had recently changed their policies surrounding cancer screenings, and that they wanted to wait until they had established communication with the insurance company before proceeding. I spent an hour working with Blue Cross, who offered a direct line and contact for St Vincents Breast Center to call. A week later, the receptionist let me know that they hadnt tried the number yet, but still hadnt had any success on their own. Three weeks later, they let me know that theyd call me back to help me. No word yet. I would advise going to the Breast Center at UMass. Skip St Vincents!!

Hands down the WORST emergency room! They asked for samples after losing them for the second time, they asked to get blood work when someone had already done so 10 minutes ago and when she attempted to draw blood she couldnt, I saw not one, not two but three different PAs that asked me the same exact questions without knowing the other ones had already spoke with me and let me not forget the leaking urine sample they left on my bed by my legs. Oh, and did I mention this was all after I waited for 7 1/2 hours! To top it all off, when I decided I had enough bc they couldnt figure out where my result were the PA started giving me attitude and told me to "just leave" or "let me tell you how you might die if you do leave." Thank you for making me feel care for and safe St. V ER staff. P.S. I didnt die after I left your facility.

Terrible hospital it isnt the first time i have had a bad experience either- i went to the dentist and learned an i had a broken jaw- i wven provided xrays to the staff- they made me wait around for 4 hours before telling me that they dont even have a dental surgeon on staff- when i questioned what they would normally do for a broken jaw i was told that they are an er not surgeons- but they finally tried calling around to find someone that could help- however they hadnt shown my denal xrays to them from my dentist office that showed the complete break- and proceeded to tell me that since my jaw had alreasy been broken for a week that it "obviously isnt an emergengy" -dealing with a broken jaw for a week is not a valid reason to be at the er... Pathetic help a waste of time and i wont bother with this emergency room again

I took my son for a sleep study there. Just getting them to give us a date for the study was worse than pulling teeth without anesthesia. They didnt even have the appropriate accomodations for parents in the rooms. They came to fix my sons wires like 10 times through the night and woke him up every time. Its a sleep study, people! how are you supposed to get any good results if you keep waking your patient up. Our pediatrician never got the results from the study (done in Feb. Were half way through June now), but this hospital hasnt stopped sending us bills and leaving messages for my 12 yr. old trying to collect their money. Their billing department seems to be more efficient in sending bills, than their other departments sending results to Primary Doctors.
