They were not too far away from home and seem to have good reviews so I buckled down and set everything up to have a long-term relationship with them. This in spite of some mistakes at the back office. The question was can I use two different dental plans, not insurance, together? The initial answer from office staff was, yes. Great so I bought another plan. A few days later the answer came back as no. So I cancelled that extra plan and bought dental insurance. The total cost of my needs after plan and insurance was roughly $6,000-$15,000 which wasnt in the kitty. After the immediate dentistry was taken care of, and I was no longer in fear of cardiac issues due to an abscessed tooth, I looked at my options to do some of the larger work. One of the things that happened during treatment was that a large filling fell out of a molar. I thought, oh this is good timing because now I can take care of it at the dentist. I remarked to Dr. Pez that it was good timing. He looked at me with contempt and said because you have avoided dental work for the last three years this is why your teeth are in such bad shape. You know, when youre at the mercy of lifes circumstances you are the one who knows that the most. You are also at the mercy of the dentist to trust that they want to do the best for you, and you have to sit there patiently with trust while someone is rooting around in your mouth. After an in-depth cleaning was done and minor fillings were taken care of, they said I was all set except for the set of 5 crowns at $3,000 a pop. I asked about the molar which had the large filling. I was told this tooth now needed a crown. I let them know I was not prepared to pay to repair the tooth in that way, and was there another way to do it in the interim? They said no and let me go. So I do a little research myself online and find out that there are other less expensive but not as attractive ways to do a crown. They have access to these means. I wasnt too worried about the aesthetics because it was way in the back of my mouth. So I called the office back to ask for help, and that I am willing to use a less expensive way to have a crown to improve my health. The gal at the office told me my file was on the dentists desk, because it was obvious to the other workers that I had a big hole in my mouth that I needed help with. The tooth was still okay and didnt need a root canal. Well 3 months later, no call from Dr. Pez. Unfortunately Im not going to follow up here. I dont have a lot of faith in the decision-making at the office or the dentist and I dont trust that they have my care in mind. I was just another warm body for them to cycle through their office. I hope that my minor financial contribution could help them in some way and that they feel they got a fair deal from me.

I just wanted to say that I am so glad that I found the Aspen Dental Team in Waltham...they have given me a new reason to smile all the time. I had 8 teeth pulled yesterday due to health reasons...and was given a partial plate temporarily. I was taken care of with such affection and have had hardly any pain. I am not a person who ever liked the Dentist because of past experiences, but at the Aspen Dental they have earned my trust and made me confident and happy to continue my healthcare with them for the rest of my future, in taking care of my teeth. My experience this far was wonderful and I will always stay with them for all my Dental needs. The office manager and the staff at this office are just great. I would recommend this office to anyone I talk to. I also was lucky enough to find out about their Care Credit program, which made it easy and affordable to fix my teeth and meet some wonderful people and have a great new experience with a Dental team. I already love my teeth, and the constant feeling of wanting to smile all the time. Thank you Aspen Dental & the great people at the Waltham office....

Horrible! These guys screwed me over! They are not my main dentist but I was trying to find other places because I needed to get a periodontist in network of my dental insurance to get a graft procedure done. When I called these guys to explain the situation, they told me that they could do this procedure at their office and so I made an appointment. After going there, they called me in and the first thing they did was a Panoramic X-ray. Being an innocent first time visit patient I thought that this was part of the procedure. After finishing the X-ray I met with an actual dentist there only to find out that they do NOT actually have a periodontist in their office and so they cannot do the procedure. I should have been told this by Aspen Dental when I called them the first time. Why then did they tell me that they can do it and have me go there for an appointment? Now I get a bill from my insurance company where I owe a co-pay and all this is not even my fault, it is Aspen Dental screwing me over! I am going to be calling to not have to be charged for this!

I came to Aspen to get another opinion of what dental work I truly needed, not just the maximum of what a dental office wanted me to get to increase their revenue. I definitely feel they gave me a very honest assessment and they could prioritize what I needed most first. They did not scare me into doing everything as quickly as possible. Everything was explained thoroughly to me on the screen in front of me by Dr. Terrio. Allison did my X-rays professionally, quickly, and painlessly by using the proper size equipment for my small mouth (which is the first time I got through that without my mouth being scraped or feeling like it was hard to breathe.) It also seems like Aspen has the most up to date equipment which might be difficult for smaller offices. Based on the encouraging remarks of others, this petrified patient will probably be returning for the work needed.

I hadnt been to the dentist in about 3 years before my first visit at Aspen about 3 months ago and was pretty nervous about it. I went in to get some jaw pain checked out and it was a good thing I did. Every person that I interacted with there was super nice, helpful and informative. They explained what was going on with my teeth and everything else in a language I could easily follow and without making me feel bad about not going to the dentist in a while. I needed a few procedures and a wisdom tooth extraction, all were done at Aspen over the course of a few months and went amazing. Erin was the hygienist that I spent the most time with and she was just fantastic. The financing department was extremely helpful with balancing the cost of everything with my insurance. Ill happily continue to go here.

This place is a scam. I scheduled my first appointment online and they had to reschedule because they arent actually open on Saturday. Ok, fine. So I went in expecting to have my teeth cleaned, but it turns out that was just a consultation and they will schedule my cleaning later. Ok, fine. I had my third appointment today where they actually cleaned my teeth and was given a fluoride treatment. I went to check out and she told me I owed money for the fluoride treatment. It turned out that they know the fluoride treatments arent covered by most insurance but dont let you know that before they actually do it, so you have already had the service and have to pay. This is in addition to the $35 mouthwash I declined last visit but was handed today again and expected to pay for.
