If there was less than 1 star, then I would leave that. My 5 year old dog had TTA surgery here and it has been a nightmare ever since. Well, really before the surgery even took place. I initially called to schedule a consultation and they said I could bring her in the next day and they would do a consultation and surgery in the same day. I was ecstatic because I did not want my pup to be in pain/suffer any longer than she had to. I brought her in the next morning and the consultation consisted of a 5 minute overview of the surgery before they took her back and then an outline of the aftercare instructions and payment. It honestly felt more like a business transaction then it did dealing with someone that actually cared about my dog. It has been awful since then and will attempt to keep it short in hopes that as many people will read this as possible. Draining from the incision site persisted about 5 days after the surgery. I called to see if I could bring her into Advanced to get her looked at. Their response was, "See if you can get her into her normal vet, but we will try to get her in if not." It is amazing to me that they pawned this off on someone who did not even do the surgery. After following the post-op procedures carefully, she developed an internal infection. I have since had to take my dog back to her normal vet 4 times to deal with the mess Advanced made. This includes poor suturing of the incision site and sustained internal and external infections. The lack of care, respect and precision with this group is almost impressive. I would advise you to go anywhere else but here. Even if it costs more, I would pay upfront instead of paying for continual vet visits and the emotional stress of dealing with it all.

Regarding Mr. Sanoffs comments: We do apologize if our admission process seemed rushed to you. That is never our intent. Regarding the length of Kotas appointment, the physical exam to verify if a cranial cruciate ligament rupture exists (cranial drawer test) literally takes 10 seconds and is definitive. The TTA-Rapid is a complex surgery which requires complete post-operative compliance by the owners for a positive outcome. All owners are informed of the post operative expectations and potential complications, especially with regard to protecting the incision from infection from either the pet licking the incision or even environmental contaminants. The owner called us with a normal post operative situation, mild to moderate pink-tinged drainage from the incision for a number of days post surgery, and was directed to have the incision examined by his family veterinarian as a convenience to him. Any veterinarian can assess an incision and we did not wish Mr. Sanoff to have to wait for an opening with us. He was asked to call back to schedule with us if he was unable to see his regular veterinarian or if his vet wished us to see it next. He did not contact us with any further information with regard to Kotas knee or any other complications thereof. We would have happily seen Kota if we had been made aware. Having said this, we are very concerned that Kota does get the appropriate care and have reached out to contact his veterinarian for an update.

My cat had been diagnosed with a benign tumor a couple of years ago. I went through MANY vets trying to get help. The tumor grew, and the bills grew, and the last chance I had was a vet telling me pretty much "no payment plan, too bad for you and your cat." I really felt like I had no hope. My cat suffered and the tumor kept growing. A couple of months ago I went to my regular vet (they couldnt do the operation due to the location of the tumor - we needed a specialist) and happened to get a different doctor that day. After giving him the whole story, he made a call, and said that, if all was okay, Dr. Elmer would perform the surgery, and at a rate that was about 1/4 of what all the other specialists wanted to charge. A couple of weeks later we were in Canton and my cat was getting the best care possible. I was kept up to date by phone calls regarding when the surgery would happen, what the results were, and when I could come pick up my cat. The next day, my wonderful cat came home, and he is GREAT! He is SO happy and healthy and I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the work of Dr. Elmer and his staff. I was beginning to think that no one cared for animals any more. Thank God for Advanced Veterinary Care. SOMEONE STILL CARES. If you have a pet with special surgery needs, tell your vet to refer you here.

I have a 12 year old Shih Tzu I never had fixed. That was a big mistake!. Late one evening I hear her yelping in pain and I notice something is hanging out of her vagina. I immediately went on line to find out what it was...vaginal hyperplasia. I called dozens of vets, most said they didnt deal with that sort of thing, I needed a specialist. I was getting quotes from $3000.00 to $4000.00. I was getting at the end of places to call, frustrated and in tears. I couldnt come up with that much money. Last call call I made was to Advanced Veterinary Care Group. They put me on the phone with vet tech Shannon. She was wonderful! When she told me yes they could fix her and take care of the (vaginal hyperplasia) total cost $435.00 dollars I was speechless for a moment. I had it done a couple days later by Dr Elmer. Dropped off at 8:30 am, he called me at 11:30 and said everything went good and I could pick her up at 12:00p. I have had a lot of dogs fixed and they have always been at the vet all day. I have also never had the surgical vet talk to me one on one before he took my dog to start working on her. Thank you Dr Elmer and Shannon for all that you did for Chicky. Also thank you to the staff for being so nice and helpful with explaining before and after.

I cant even express how amazingly WONDERFUL Dr Larson, Shannon and Bethenny were to my kitty cat Dante. They fit him in for major surgery - a FHO - which he desperately needed, 2 days after I called. They treated him like I would - with such love and care - upon drop off, during and after his procedure, which I was immensely grateful for. I loved meeting with Shannon upon picking him back up as she was a wealth of knowledge who TRULY loves cats (she has 9 of her own!). She gave me expert instruction on his post-surgery care and answered ALL of my questions, and there were quite a few! They also accept Care Credit which was a saviour for us as we didnt anticipate having to do something like this. We now have 36 months to pay off the surgery with zero interest which is another blessing in itself. Id highly recommend this clinic to anyone who has to have surgery - especially a complex one - done on their furry family member. This type of thing is never easy - on the pet and their loved ones. And the staff truly turned this experience into as much of a positive experience as it couldve been. Thank you so much Shannon, Dr Larson and Bethenny!!! You took such fantastic care of my sweet boy & that in itself is PRICELESS!!!!
