Steer clear of this clinic! The vets are acceptable, but the front desk staff are horrendous, rude, uncaring and unaccommodating, to say the least! I can only conclude that there is absolutely ZERO communication between them and the Drs. On Saturday 5/21/16, I called for an emergency appt. for our 14 year old cat who had been going to Alpha for 6+ years (as well as our 2 dogs). I was told by Brittany that there were no appts. available, despite the dire condition of our dear Catie, and was instructed to go to an emergency clinic!!! Instead, I called our former veterinary, Docton Animal Clinic. They took us in and saw Catie immediately. We lost Catie that day from Congestive Heart Failure. Alpha was informed of what happened and we have yet to hear from any of the vets offering their condolences or a feeble excuse as to why no one was willing to see their patient. Shame on them!!! I am still appalled at their behavior. This was not our first experience with their incompetence. Ive had enough. I went there on Monday, gave them an earful, demanded my dogs records and walked out. If you love your pets, find another vet.....dont go to Alpha!

My experience was good when I dropped off my two cats to get declawed. The employees were friendly on this particular day. However, one of the cats had complication and we took her in for a recheck. Every person we experienced that was not friendly. Dr. Ober came into the room and didnt greet us and asked what we were doing here (abruptly). The tech was just in asking why we were there. Maybe he should have read the file. Dr Ober was rude and very condisending. He made it out like it was our fault we were there. The stitch wasnt in her foot which I believe he didnt put it in in the first place because when we picked her up it was the same way but the tech just said she hadnt cleaned it yet. My 8 year old son also commented on how rude the doctor was. I should have talked to our neighbors. They had the same bad experience with Dr. Ober. I will not return to this establishment and my neighbors had not returned. Roger Ober attitude is unacceptable. I spent over $600 dollars in his establishment; at least he could have said HI when he entered the room. The reviews for Dr Janet made it seem like a nice place.

I love the actual veterinarians; however, the front desk reception lady (older with blonde hair) is awful! She is never pleasant and acts like youre bothering her. This is the same wither youre calling for an appointment, standing in front of her checking in or trying to pay while checking out. Another issue: if you have an acute problem such as skin allergies that flare up over night; they never have an appointment available within a 24 hour period. You usually have to wait up to 4 days. Which is completely unacceptable! After having to take our dogs to another vet for acute issues (ear infections, skin flare ups, etc.) weve decided enough is enough! Weve taken our three dogs to this establishment and have spent a minimum of $4k in the last two years. Unfortunately, due to lack of appointment availability and a rude front desk staff we will not be returning. Nor will I ever recommended this vet to anyone ever again.

Dr. Janet Langenderfer has been my veterinarian for over 25 years, and I cant imagine a vet who is more caring and conscientious. My experience with Dr. Holly Gossett is recent but very positive: I was very impressed with the surgeries she has performed on my dogs. Every time I have needed an emergency appointment, I have been able to see a vet by the next day at the latest. The office and technical staff members are always helpful and friendly to me and my dogs alike. Alpha Vet is a considerable distance from my home, but the superior care provided makes it worth the drive.

Dr. Langenderfer is the real deal; kind, considerate, competent and skilled. She is a greyhound expert and has done a great job will all of my greyhounds. She really takes time to examine the dogs and has a wonderful way with them. I feel they get the best quality of care, at an affordable price point. Her approach to healthcare is reasonable, always explaining the options and things to watch. She has helped my dogs through the years and if your looking for a vet that cares, you have found one. Kudos to the clinic.

I needed to get kennel shots for our old dog on short notice and Dr. Ober accommodated our needs. While there I asked some questions about the weight loss our old dog was experiencing and Dr. Ober was very helpful explaining how diet, especailly related to protein content affected older dogs. Im planning to use Dr. Ober again as Ive personally had good experience with him and his staff have been nice and efficient.

We started going to Alpha Vet when we moved to the area 7 years ago. Dr. Ober has been very helpful with our dog who has experienced stomach problems. His partner assisted us when we put our cat to sleep and was very comforting and kind. We also send our dog every 8 weeks or so for grooming and have never had problems. They are very accommodating - even with late notice.

Dr. Langendorfer was by far the best vet we have ever found. She took care of our fur baby in her senior years and when we had to say goodbye to our baby girl her compassion was apparent. I recommend anyone who wants a vet that treats your baby like her own she is the one.
