Took my dog there this morning because she has an infection. When we went in they were very rude and Dr. Bumhart was extremly rude, never did a thorough check of her stomach and only took her tempature. She offered to take my dogs blood and then someone brings her back and we never see the doctor again. Then they try and charge us $182 when we were told it was only $35. Found out they tried to charge us for a heartworm test that was never talked about and a few other things. And they ended up charging us $63 at the end because they atill charged us for the heartworm test thinking they were charging us for the bloodwork which we were told wouldnt be sent out. We paid $63 for a thermometer to be stuck up my dogs rear end which i know how to do myself and useless bloodwork. This place shouldnt even be in buisness with how awful they are.

Very unprofessional. Came there with a nervous pitbull. She did not greet us, nor the dog, just started her examination, poking and prodding. We had a muzzle to put on the dog, but wanted to talk to vet about issues first. Wasnt asked what we were there for, she just walked in a tried to immediately take our dogs rectal temperature. We stopped her, saying she might bite, and we needed to put on the muzzle first. She then called our dog viscous, and said she would not treat dogs like that. Never been treated so insensitively. Shocking. Please think twice before bringing your dog there.

Always, Im Surely Great full to DR.CINDY BAUMHART, & Her Staff, ok Her Team ,Because of them working together to keep my Peirre ( Black Standard Poodle) with his eyes, being in bad shape he couldnt see ,well,Thank you Dr.Cindy Baumhart for the Surgery on his eyes, they both needed it. Hopefully he wont be in so much pain.now that you fixed them .Thank you and your team. .cheryll lee

I go to this vet because she was always very helpful on the phone whenever I found a stray dog and needed some advice. Other vet offices couldnt help me unless I made an appointment and came in. She is very down to earth and practical and very inexpensive. Our cat got fixed for a much cheaper price than anyone around. I highly recommend Rakestraw Animal Hospital for all your needs.

My grandmother and I have been coming here for years to tend to the needs of our fur-babies. The cost is lower than expected (usually), and the service is wonderful. Another great thing about this place is that they have beautiful cats that walk around, and if youre lucky they approach you and allow you to pet them. I wouldnt trust my pets with anyone else.

The worst Vet. I have ever seen, how can you just guess what kittens have? Shouldnt test be done? Now im losing another because of her crappy way of doing her job. Her employee has told me to my face the cheap way to put down an animal is to put it into a bag anf place it in the frerzer. Who does that?

The best place Ive ever gone.Affordable,awesome doctor, very caring and the only vet to help my dog without charging me am arm and a leg. Always has helpful suggestions for at home to help my pet.plus she even seen me on a Sunday when they were closed. She is the best vet.

She charge for more than what you came for instead of telling you, her staff cant hear I told them I came for a 1year rabie which is $18.00 instead I left there paying $83.00 for services I didnt ask for at this time, Im never going back there never!
