I am moving out of state and asked to schedule a tooth cleaning before I leave. When I had to schedule my appointment I was forced to schedule an appointment with their call center, not somebody in their office. I explained that I was moving out of state and that I wanted a normal routine tooth cleaning. After I explained the services that I wanted they set up an appointment. I had my appointment today and they DID NOT clean my teeth. I had to wait 20 minutes to be seen when I was the first appointment of the day (8am) and had arrived 10 minutes early. They began with xrays. Then the doctor looked at my teeth for 2 minutes and told me that everything was fine (no cavities, etc). Then the dental hygienist inspected my teeth. Both the hygienist and the doctor asked me if I wanted my teeth whitened, to be screened for cancer (at age 24), to have my 4 perfectly fine wisdom teeth removed, if I needed work on my implants (which are not damaged and properly functioning). They also attempted to sell me an electric toothbrush, special mouthwash, and special paste. ALL of these services were an additional cost. At the end of my appointment I checked out WITHOUT having my teeth cleaned like I had asked. All I wanted was to have my teeth cleaned before I was moving and NOT to have my teeth inspected and offered additional services for a pretty penny. Never would I recommend Aspen Dental to anyone. Poor service. Had to wait for 20 minutes with an 8am appointment, not personable, attempted to sell me additional services, and did not clean my teeth like I had asked and set an appointment for. The ONLY positive is that they offered to call me today if they had a cancellation so that I could have my teeth cleaned today before I move.

This was the worst experience Ive had at Aspen Dental. First, my appointment was scheduled for 8:00 am and when I arrived 10 minutes early, the doors were locked. I was finally brought back to the exam at 8:15 am. I was there to have a temporary crown and permanent crown made. The Dr. came in and injected the most painful shot of novocaine. I was shocked! Ive had dental work done before and this was ridiculous! By the time it took its full effect, my entire left side of my face was numb and head was numb. I even remarked to the Hygienist that I was nervous for him to drill my teeth if his hand is so heavy with his tools. I was right! The drilling on my existing tooth lasted nearly an hour....an hour, for a temporary crown. I had my upper right tooth hit with a drill handle at one point and countless water globs running down my face and neck. How uncomfortable! My appointment was originally scheduled for 1.5 hours and it actually lasted 2.25 hours. Thats unacceptable! I will return only to have the $450 crown cemented in but thatll be the LAST time I visit!!!

Frustrated with them. My appointment to get my teeth pulled and dentures put in was scheduled a month ahead of time. They called me morning of, telling me that my dentures werent ready and that i needed to wait another day, which i couldnt because of work. They agreed to pull the teeth and my followup was scheduled for the next day at 4 to get the dentures. The followup appt had also been scheduled for a month, it was to check the healing. Well, when my wife took me home the night of the extraction, i was a little drugged up from the anesthesia. Later that evening, she mentioned that my appt was at 530 to which i said no, its 4:00 and i showed her the email confirmation. She called aspen to confirm the time and sure enough, they had moved the appt without consulting me. Furthermore, my gums wouldnt stop bleeding and in the discharge instructions they say to call them. Their response? We cannot get you in any earlier and to put a teabag in between my gums. When we asked how the appointment got moved, the girls only response was "Well I didnt move it."

I called Aspen Dental and they fit me in for a visit THAT same day. Michelle and Jesse were very friendly and I was able to have a full exam and go over the problems and solutions. Joy was sharing with me the different options available to me, considering I have no insurance, she was very friendly and went on to give me lots of information on financing any future appointments and treatment. She also schedualed me an appointment for the very next day!!!!!! Considering I had a problem tooth that was giving me pain(minor) at that time. I showed for my appointment the next day, and Dr.J. Peiffer and Cheryl did the work I needed done. They remembered me from the day before, and did very good work. Such a friendly staff and perfessional and caring!!! I have just found my new dental office for my family and self. Keep up the great work, I give a truely excellent recomendation!! THANK YOU ALL!!!!!! and see you at my next appointment approx. 1 month from now. Sincerely, Kelli Hansen

Not like Billy Bones a year ago; My name is Albert. I call Aspen Dental with a lot of pain for a tooth pull, they said they could schedule me 7 days out I told them I didnt think I could wait that long the pain was to great. they told me to call other Aspen Dental in the Grand Rapids area for an appointment I call three other office the wait time was still seven days out; so taking pain pills and aspirins I started to wait. three days later at 5AM I had to go to the emergency dept. I had infection in my gums they put me on Amoxicillin 500 MG for seven days. went to my appointment for extractions and to have dentures made. but at that time they took Ex-rays and gave me another appointment waiting for the seven days to finish taking the amoxicillin. came back they took molding impressions, my next appointment would be August 25th now all of this started the first week of July and still waiting.hoping the pain dont come back to servilely. today is August 5, 2015.

Its been a nightmare & I cant wait to move on. I have paid out of my own pocket thousands of dollars to you for a smile that has been a nightmare and an embarassment. I have lost time at work, went days that I couldnt eat or go out in public. I am so sorry I ever started it. From day one I have had problems, teeth that have fell out, plate that has cracked repeatedly and now you insist I purchase another! There is no way that will ever happen. I will have my final, I hope, visit to repair the same plate again. Then I am finding a new dentist. I have cried, tried to consult with your people , did everything I can think of to try and understand why it keeps happening,,,NOTHING!!! I have given you all every opportunity to fix this and the only thing that gets accomplished is you get more of my money. Not happening any longer. I have never had insurance. the cost from day one has been out of my pocket for years. There are other options and I am now doing it. See ya!

I had appointments get cancelled several times because hours changed or the dentist called in. Very unprofessional. My last visit was scheduled in person for 2:15 PM. I checked in at 2:17 PM and was not seen until 2:30 PM when I was told that I showed up too late for my appointment and that I could wait for a shot to open or reschedule. They insisted that my appointment was at 2 PM despite having 4 electronic and phone confirmations for 2:15, which I showed them and they still rejected. I waited an extra hour to only be told to show up on time next time. I left very angry because I had taken time off work and scheduled this appointment over 2 months in advance, and when I called back the person, Erin I think, had no remorse and made no effort to reconcile the situation. So if you want an inflexible dentist and to be treated like cattle, this is the dentist for you. If I could give half a star I would.
