Dr. Shoemaker has made life-changing improvements to my spine health. I did not realize the severity of the day-to-day pain that I had been living with FOR YEARS until I sought the help of Dr. Shoemaker and his practice and for the first time in YEARS I felt what it feels like to just feel good, feel normal. I noticed drastic improvements in my pain level and posture and reduction in the frequency of migraines and muscle spasms, all within the first month of care. After 6 months of care I feel extremely stable with my spine health. I truly recommend seeking the care of Dr. Shoemaker. His staff is efficient and they treat you like family. He also provides well-rounded educational opportunities pertaining to all the components of wellness. Adding to my review: Prenatal Chiropractic I received prenatal chiropractic care recently with my second pregnancy. The results were life-changing. During my first pregnancy I suffered from back and neck pain my entire pregnancy. It was so painful and debilitating I contemplated not having more children. With my recent second pregnancy, the experience was much different. While receiving chiropractic care during my pregnancy, I did not have the back and neck pain I suffered in the past, I felt GREAT. In addition, during my pregnancy, there were many times when almost everyone around me was sick with colds/flu viruses, with a vulnerable immune system, I still managed not to get sick once during my pregnancy. Not only did I avoid getting sick during pregnancy, but I have not gotten sick AT ALL since Ive been receiving chiropractic care. When I first went to Dr. Shoemaker three years ago, I was critical. I had waited three months to get treatment for a sore on my foot which in turn caused limping and ended up causing me excruciating pain in my left hip and knee. I had reached the point where I couldnt bend anything from the waist down. Three months was way too long to wait, but when I saw Dr. Shoe for the first time, he assured me that "critical" didnt mean "over and done". Examinations, explanations, workshops and especially Dr. Shoes care and consideration gave me confidence and put me on the road to recovery, from which I have never looked back. Today, I stand straighter, move with more fluidity and believe wholeheartedly in the benefits of regular chiropractic care. Thank you, Dr. Shoemaker, for all of the time you have given to both Ron and I to help us work out treatment schedules and financial arrangements that suited the needs of us all! I have had discomfort and pain from TMJ in my jaw for about fifteen years now. Along with the pain, I have difficulty with chewing, earaches, headaches, neck and shoulder pain, plus loud pops and cracks from my jaw, to name a few. I recently went to Clairpointe Family Chiropractic to get some relief from my neck and shoulder pain. Dr. Shoemaker got to the bottom of why I was having the neck and shoulder pain, and offered to adjust my jaw. I was skeptical but I let him give it a try. The loud pops and cracks stopped immediately and the pain was gone too. I was shocked. I will definitely be returning for more sessions to maintain this progress, and I am so thankful to know there is something out there besides surgery that can provide some relief for my jaw pain and TMJ side effects.

There is only 5 stars to choose.....too bad because Clairpointe needs 10 STARS!! I have been under the care of Dr. Shoemaker since 1987. That is 29 years and I have followed them to three location changes in that time. The reason I have followed them, and have been with them for so many years, is because I am convinced that Dr. Shoe has kept me from having to get back surgery. Due to hereditary issues, the ex-ray of my spine and neck is a bit of a train wreck. Despite this, the regular preventative maintenance program that I have been on has allowed me to live a very healthy and active life......this is all thanks to Dr. Shoemaker and his Clairpointe Team---THEY ARE THE BEST!!

The very best chiropractor in the whole Detroit area!!!! He has helped us tremendously (Jon with scoliosis and Helen with problem knees). Dr. Shoemakers wealth of knowledge about the body and how it works, and what it needs to work well is astounding! I am amazed! he "fixed" my toes when I didnt know they were the problem affecting my knee. His office is well run, his staff very friendly and helpful! I wish we had found him ten years ago. You ROCK, Dr. Shoe. And, not five stars, but at least 10 stars!

I have had a great experience with Clairpointe Family Chiropractic! After about 7 years dealing with a diagnosis of plantar fasciitis and no relief, I came in for my first evaluation and Dr. Shoemaker assured me he could help me out. Shortly after starting my adjustments, my pain was almost gone. After each visit I notice progress. The office is clean, friendly, and fast paced. They also have flexible hours, allowing me to get in around my work schedule. I would recommend the office to everyone!

After a strict and disciplined regiment of spinal adjustments, exercise and proper use of dietary supplements, I no longer have the significant pain I had before and I have returned to a high level of physical activity. Best chiropractor ever! I lived near his office when I became a patient in 1992. After moving more than 40 miles away several years ago, I still make the drive to his office because there is no one that I found that even comes close to his skill. I suffered from back pain at an early age. I feel better now than when I was in my 20s because of the care I received from Dr. Shoe. Very knowledgeable with a predisposition to help others. You get addicted to being pain free.

Gary Shoemaker suspected the growth on my wifes neck might be an issue to address a year before her doctor did. The issue turned out to be thyroid cancer. He also correctly diagnosed that my father in law needed a hip replacement when my FILs doctor for two years thought the problem was my FILs knee. Gary has assisted my family for over twenty years and I highly recommend his weekly adjustments which have kept the arthritis in my neck from becoming acute.
