Dr. Bruells office is full of rude and unprofessional staff except for a young man wearing glasses, working the front desk who is the only one who treated me with nothing but respect and politeness and professionalism. I cannot believe the hostile environment in that doctors office. You could cut the tension with a knife. I came in for a consultation regarding hair loss and was waiting for over an hour. During this hour, I could not believe the things I was hearing. I felt like I was in an alternate universe. To put it nicely, the staff talked about politics nonstop and about religion really loudly - they were almost yelling and using inappropriate language. I have never been to a doctors office like this. After waiting for an hour and twenty minutes, I was taken back by a nurse named Kathy who was wearing a huge cross necklace. She kept talking about the election and even stooped as low as to ask me which candidate I was supporting. I became uncomfortable because that is not what I was there for. Why did she ask me this, what would have been the correct answer and would her treatment towards me change with my response? I did not answer, pretending to not understand what she asked. Not only that, but I overheard staff talking badly about other patients, violating HIPAA. I ended up not saying a word and got the heck out of dodge and I am still in total shock and disbelief three weeks later. I dont think they realize they dont have walls that are thick as brick and patients can hear everything they say. I reported Dr. Audrey J. Bruell to MDHHS.

I took my 4 year old daughter to see Dr. Bruell. I arrived 15 minutes early for an AM appointment as requested by the front desk staff to fill out new patient paperwork. We then sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes past our appointment time before being called back. The lobby/front desk area had weird signs everywhere saying children are not allowed at appointments, you must pay on time, etc. Also at the front counter there was a coffee maker - full and on, as well as, a radiant heat fan perched precariously and stretched to be plugged in. This concerned me greatly since I had too small children with me and they could have (or someone else) easily knocked the items off the counter and been badly burned. Once we were called back to an exam room we still waited another 30 minutes before we saw Dr. Bruell. When she did come in, she spent a very short amount of time with us and jumped to extreme diagnoses. She also insisted that we come in at least once a month for 6 months. The exam area had a lot of flyers for different procedures and expensive skin care products. I really felt I was being sold unnecessary interventions. She also talked to me like I was incapable of being able to make decisions regarding the care of my daughter and that I should consult with her father, and have him there for any further treatments. I will NEVER be returning to this office and recommend any person considering see Dr. Bruell to go somewhere else.

The staff there is unbelievable--just plain rude and/or uninformed. I was making an appointment to get my daughters stitches removed from her face. Initially, they made the appointment, and then called me to tell me that I should just return to the ER for a free visit (no thanks!). I explained that Id rather see a skin professional, and didnt have a problem paying for it. So I kept the appointment. Later, I received another return call from Connie to cancel my appointment. She was snippy and snarky and couldnt understand why I just wouldnt return to the ER. So I explained about how I had initially found Dr. Bruell when I made an appointment to get my own stitches out several years ago and that my family had been patients ever since, and that Id like to (hopefully) get some advice as to how to minimize my daughters scar. She wouldnt let go of the "return to the ER" thing, and cancelled the appointment. I called back to complain, and then she was even worse! Connie consistently cut me off when I was speaking--and even when I asked her to please stop cutting me off! I also mentioned that because of her phone call, I would be switching doctors. Her response was just unbelievable. I am disappointed with Dr. Bruells staff and as a result, wont be returning to the office.

Have now been to Dr. Bruells office three times. The first two times were to have skin tags and two moles removed on various parts of the head and body. Peter - one of the PAs - performed the procedures with his assistant. He has a great bedside manner and makes you feel very comfortable. 100% of the tags and moles taken off left no scar or mark even though they were in some sensitive places on my face. For those of you that need to go back for your results, try to make it another procedure appointment so that you are not paying just to hear the results. A friend of mine gave me Dr. Bruells name as a referral and am very pleased with results. Like most professionals, the waiting room time might be a bit longer than you would like due to some complications with the previous patient, so I try to make my appointment the first one in the morning and it works out just fine. Oh and by the way, the removal process of the tags and moles was virtually painless, quick, and simple.

Great doctor, very knowledgeable. Once in a while there is a longer-than-expected wait, but I find this is because the doctor and her staff care to take a lot of time with each individual patient. Ive been to doctors offices where you see the doctor for maybe 5 minutes if you are lucky - it is the exact opposite here. They ask you many questions, and discuss everything with you. The lobby has Wifi and a computer to use (for those of you that dont have smartphones) to browse the internet while you wait. I have sent relatives and friends to Dr. Bruell over the years, and they have told me that they had issues which plagued them, other dermatologists were not helpful, but she was. I think Dr. Bruell has been doing this for well over 25 years, and it shows with how effortlessly she seems to take in all of the information and make an accurate diagnosis. Great office, great staff, great service.

I saw Dr. Bruell for about a year, and I was less than satisfied with her, her office and the care she provided. The wait time increased with each visit, and I saw little to no improvement in my acne. The straw that broke the camels back was my last appointment, when I waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes, then was kept waiting in an exam room for an additional 40 minutes, only to have Dr. Bruell see me for a grand total of 2 minutes. Other times, I would wait for 30 minutes, only to be seen by a physicians assistant who hadnt even taken the time to look at my chart to clarify what treatments I was on or why I was there. I have since found a different dermatologist who has helped me much more and has a much better-run office.
