When I went last year, the NP was very friendly and to the point. I was definitely obese when I went last year but my blood pressure was normal and I have no history of high blood pressure (I try to eat well and exercise 5 - 10 hours a week). I went in for my annual exam this year after being on an estrogen birth control pill for a year, and my blood pressure was HIGH (about 150/85). I also lost 50 pounds between the two appointments. In between getting my annual, the NP just constantly brought up my weight (Im about 50 pounds overweight still) and even started shoving papers at me on the BMI and how to lose weight. Apparently, they didnt look at my records to see my weight from last year. Nor did they ever bring up the fact that an estrogen birth control pill can increase your chances of getting high blood pressure if youre overweight - I was only told it was a concern if I already HAD high blood pressure (upon researching, I found it can cause HBP). Still, they talked to me so rudely and told me that I needed to see my general doc about my blood pressure. They prescribed progestin birth control pills, so that should manage the high blood pressure now. They also acted completely dumbfounded when I told them that I had breakthrough bleeding the week before my inactive pills practically every month. Is breakthrough bleeding NOT one of the most common side effects of the birth control pill?! They suggested I could have gonorrhea or chlamydia. While I understand thats a fair suggestion (given my age range and the bleeding symptom), the very fact that it started only after I started taking the pill shouldve been a no-brainer. If you get the NP named Janet, RUN. She really didnt seem to know what she was doing.

Each experience is different. My first time there, I waited 5 hours for my appointment, just to get a depo shot. The receptionist said they over scheduled because usually not every patient shows up. Then she commented loudly that there were people in the room that arrived way too early for their appointment (not me, but another woman). The next time I went, I was "scheduled wrong" and couldnt see the physician. So I scheduled another appointment. When I came in for that, they had scheduled me wrong again and I couldnt see a physician, she told me I would have a 3 week wait for Mirena, berated me on my weight, told me should couldnt give me emergency contraception ( which I didnt ask for ), and rolled her eyes when I didnt want to get tested that particular day ( I had just provided a sample for the pregnancy test and didnt have to pee ). When I did call to schedule my Mirena, thinking it would be 3 weeks like she said, they offered me an appointment for the very next week. The receptionist and doctor Ive had were never friendly, but the nurses/technicians are always super friendly and helpful.

It was seriously awful! The worst place I have been to. I had to transfer there because I moved. I went there originally to get an annul check up. I was a new patient. My apt time was 3:10 nobody was able to see me (even though I made an apt a week in advance) until after 4:30 I left because I worked at 5. I scheduled another apt two weeks later. The NP was HORRIBLE! She made me feel so stupid about everything and made me feel bad about myself. Doctors are suppose to be friendly and make you feel safe and not judged. Safe to say that I will not be returning or referring anyone to this location in fact I will most likely discourage them from coming.

I have had more bad experiences with this place than good. You will get mixed information from every person you talk to. They have wasted my time with scheduling appointments to be unable to help me when I arrive twice. I was 8 minutes late and told to call next time so they would make sure I could be seen...funny because Ive sat in their exam room for 2 hours without seeing anyone for a prescription refill because of a "difficult patient." I will never be returning to this office and I advise you to look elsewhere unless your looking to waste your time.

I have been a patient of planned parenthood since I was 15 years old however I went to the one in Ypsilanti which unfortunately was shut down due to lack of funds. Which is sad bc in the 15+ years Ive gone there its always been regular pap exams and things of that nature. They base on income so all can take care of their bodies. This location is small but the receptionist was great. The Doctor however lacked bedside manner. People please be mindful that people have other agendas when writing these reviews so read with caution.

Melissa the office manager is very helpful, and very nice. The Nurse Practitioner was GREAT! Everyone was very friendly, and made it really comfortable. However, their "sliding fee" scale goes on your household income. So if youre like me...I have a job paying just over minimum wage, a child to take care of, and I cant afford to move out of my parents just yet...I still am paying a ton to go there because my parents income is in the higher range. That sucks!

After seeing all of the negative reviews I was extremely nervous coming here. My expierence was nothing like the other reviews! Everyone was welcoming and it definitely was a judgement free zone. The CNM/NP was awesome and really kind. I was there for about an hour total, which is much faster than going to a normal obgyn appt for bc. I would really recommend going there and disregard the negative reviews cus my appointment was 100% opposite.

While the staff was pleasant, the wait was not. I came in to refill my prescription, nothing more. I arrived at 11am for a 11:15am appointment and walked out around 1:30pm without having it filled. I did not anticipate having a 2+ hour wait and could not stay any longer due to prior commitments. There is no reason for this long of a wait for a prescription refill. This was my first time at this location and my last.

The assistant is super nice, but Ive been sitting here for over 2 hours waiting to be seen. I have to head to work in an hour. I made myself an appointment with more than 3 hours before I had to be to work with the knowledge that sometimes these things happen, but Im only in for a consult for birth control. Nothing in depth or super personal. How long does it take to review my file and write a script?

Been here twice so far and Ive had a great experience both times! First visit I didnt need to see the doctor, and I didnt have to wait very long after my appointment. Second time i did need to see the doctor and i had a very reasonable wait time! Everyone is very nice and understanding. They listen and are very helpful. I would absolutely recommend!
