I here twice in 2002 and 2003 id say. Some staff were great i wish i coukd meet them again tben others were horrible. They gave me 4 shots in one day. A guy broke my arm. I was behind a door pushing on it with my hands and free because i didnt want to talk to him he got mad and slammed the door back on me breaking my wrist in a couple places. I was scared when he worked there. Nothing was ever done about any lf it. They had me on so many meds that didnt do nothing. 2 years later a doctor had no idea why i was taking such strong pyc meds. May its changed by now but that memory will never leave my head and my wrist will never be the same

i was admitted here at hawthorn and some staff were kind and caring while others could care less but i have no complaints one of the staff that worked with me was mr.dave and although i never really was nice to him he always showed me respect and for that i am thankful he has helped me become a better person to be perfectly honest i have called hawthorn and so far havent been able to get a hold of him or my counselor that i had because i would love to thank them for all the help they gave me btw this is vassia johnson anatoliy johnsons brother he was also admitted in hawthorn

My daughter was here twice in 2010 and 2012. I was not impressed with this place at all for so many reasons. It was very run down. Some of the staff members were violent and there was a lack supervision, too strict with phone calls and no courtesy towards me as a parent. Also, they did not listen to me when I wanted a med discontinued or other concerns. My daughter had to pay the price for this. Only good was Dr. V. Petti. She was very helpful. We did not care for any one elses mannerisms.

I was sent here in 2014 and it was pleasant. The only downside I remember is the boredom. The TV has very few channels and half the time I just played video games. The food was ok although since Im a picky eater I rarely ate. The staff was wonderful! They were very kind and I only had a problem with one staff member. I was put into Erie if I remember correctly. But all and all its more like a hotel with doctors that what most people think of when they hear "mental hospital"

I was a troubled kid back in the 90s but this place was there for my mom I really learned a lot and it really helped me figure out what was going on with me, and my life is much better because of them.

The bottom line....this facility proves that childrens mental health in our country is seriously inadequate.
