My (one year old) daughter has a yeast infection in her diaper area that is terrible. It is red, chafed and bleeding. It is obviously very painful. She cries terribly when we touch it or change her diaper. The doctor prescribed an anti fungal cream for the infection. This was the second more powerful cream the doctor prescribed in two weeks. My insurance company refused to pay for the 30 gram tube of antifungal cream that was needed to treat her infection because it was the second such tube needed in two weeks. My daughters mother inquired as to how much Henry Ford pharmacy was charging for the 30 grams of econozole. They told her $600.00. $600.00 for 30 grams of antifungal cream for a one year old baby. Needless to say she was unable to purchase the cream. I didnt find out about this until after work that day. It was a Friday. I called Walgreens on Saturday and they wanted $153.00 for the exact same tube of medication. Henry Ford Pharmacy wanted $450.00 more for the exact same medication. $450.00 more for a small tube of antifungal cream. They sent my daughters mother away without the medication we needed because she was unable to pay the clearly exaggerated price that they wanted. I looked the price up on the Internet and found that Good rx had a coupon for Walgreens for the exact same tube of medication for ...... Get this........ $26.00. Needless to say I am taking my business elsewhere.

The facility, as a whole, is nice. Receptionists, lab attendants and nurses are friendly and efficient. I just wish I could find another female doctor that was taking patients. Mine never completely answers my questions. She does more on the computer than she does with me. She listens to my heart, looks in my ears but is always in a hurry. Every complaint I have is attributed to diabetes for which I am on no meds; just diet and exercise. She told me I dont have to test my blood anymore and that I could throw away my meter. No reason; just that I didnt need to check any more. She asks if she answered all my questions as she is going out the door. The one time when I said not really I was told to make another appointment and she would answer them the next time I came in. I have discussed this with the Patient Advocate and was told she used the same doctor and was very pleased. I think they have a script like Customer Reps at other places. They have a positive answer for every negative complaint.

I am extremely frustrated with Henry Ford Center In Livonia, and the staff there. My mom saw the doctor on Friday August 21st for her issue with low hart rate and also to have her insulin medication refilled. She asked the doctor if her medication will be available for her right away because she is out . The doctor said yes, but the truth is that as of Monday August 24th her insulin prescription was still not filled by the doctor. My mom does not have a pancreas so she depends on this medication. The sad part is that this is not the first time this happens, we have issues almost every refill. Either the doctor does not sign it or they forget to fax it to the pharmacy. This is sad that my mom is treated this way, Henry Ford Hospital was paid over $500,000 by my health care company in recent months and to get this kind of treatment is sad. I am no longer going to take my mom there because I cant trust them with her care.

Ive gone there for over 15 yrs the BEST if you have Dr.Semerick you have the best, before I had Dr. Kalse I hated when she left she diagnosed me as a diabetic told me to loose 15% of my body weight she put me in a weight management @ fords work-out, dietitian nurses, physiologist. One yr program 4 days a week 5mo later off my meds total weight lost 83 ibs kept it off 6 yrs When Dr.Semerick took over she pick up right where Dr. Kalse left off. 10yrs later still no medication. She believes your body can heal its self if in some cases if you do whats right. Not quick to give out meds she teaches you so you have the tools to keep you healthy. She takes time to listen. Wish more doctors were like here Iv recommended her several times and everyone Loves her. The staff is personable treats you like family they remembers your name just a damn good place to go for your medical needs

I called to try to reach my physician Lisa Ericcson or Walid Mansoor. It took 12 minutes for my call to be answered. I finally got through to a woman named Renell. I asked her why i was on hold for 12 minutes before she answered and she said she didnt know she was on break. When I asked speak to the office, she said she was the office what did i need. I explained my medication had traded vendors and the new pills is making me dizzy and giving me violent headaches. She asked me, "what do you want me to do? " Seriously? The service was horrible. I love my doctors but it shouldnt be this difficult to call the office.

I got to the After Hours Clinic ten minutes before 5:00p.m. (when it opens). When they opened I was second in line to be helped and I asked if the services I needed were offered. The front desk receptionist did not know much about what services were offered and told me to have a seat until she could find out. She then continued to call other people to the front for about 20 minutes before I got up to ask again if they had the services I needed. She said no without hesitation after waiting for a half an hour. Unprofessional and rude staff.

Total Rip off!! Went to a podiatrist, Mark Squire for trearment for wart. They sent me two bills for each visit, one under the name of the hospital and one for the doctor. I ended pay $250 each time I went there, for almost 10 weeks! Finally, my issue got by resolved by his assistant, in just two visits. Have a feeling they were not giving the right treatment in order to prolong the number of visits. My piece of advice: You will be better off going to a doctors clinic directly!!

When they finally see you they are friendly and very professional. They routinely run behind schedule with their appointments. I recommend early appointments.
