I set up an appointment for my baby through a group called INFANT SEE. I was referred to Manzo Eye Care through this organizations web site. The organization promises to "a public health program, managed by Optometry Cares® - the AOA Foundation, is designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an essential part of infant wellness care to improve a childs quality of life. Under this program, participating optometrists provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment between 6 and 12 months of age as a no-cost public service." At any rate, my daughter just turned 12 months old. When I called to set up the appointment, I was told that her age was not a problem. I filled out the five pdf forms required to see the doctor and I cancelled my appointments for the afternoon. I was already in the car on my way to the doctor when I spoke to an assistant who tried to diagnose my daughters problem over the phone. I "think" my daughters eye crosses in a bit....but I am not a doctor. I was bringing her to an eye doctor that was referred to me as a a group of physicians equipped to see babies. I was told that it sounded like my daughter has a medical eye problem and needed to see another specialist. I find this all to be rather unprofessional. I am not a doctor (obviously) nor is the person that answers the phones at their office. The whole point of the INFANT SEE program as well as this visit was to determine whether, in fact, my daughter may have an eye problem. Why would you try and guess that out over the phone? I am not sure why Manzo Eye Care is listed in correspondence with this specialized program if, as I was told over the phone, they are not properly equipped to handle such cases? It seems that perhaps this is good PR, that they can slap a certificate on the wall to claim their philanthropic attitude, but in reality, if they are "not equipped to see" see my baby, how can they claim to see anyone elses? Maybe the doctors are great, and indeed, I am sure the waiting room is beautiful, but I dont know, because I was turned away before I even made it through the doors.

Dr. Manzo and his staff are highly professional. I wouldnt trust my eye/vision care to anyone else. He is reassuring and he explains procedures with easy-to-understand terminology for a layman like me without sounding superior. Having said that, he is very knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest technology. I completely trust Dr. Manzo to perform any procedure he deems necessary and appropriate for me and members of my family. The only negative aspect of a visit to Dr. Manzos office is the wait time. But, this seems to be the nature of the business. He provides many interesting books for patients in the waiting room and his staff is so pleasant its hard to dwell on the wait time. I must add that Dr. Manzo has been available for me on several occasions when I have had a vision problem outside of office hours. He has been most willing to call on the phone personally to advise me. And, when necessary, fit me into his busy office schedule at short notice. I would recommend Dr. Manzo in a heartbeat to anyone for their eye/vision care.

I went to Dr. Manzo a few months ago after a number of friends had recommended him. I needed a checkup because I am diabetic and eyes are something that can be adversely effected by the disease. I found Dr. Manzo to be highly personable, extremely thorough and very easy to understand when he explained what was happening with my eyes. I was very impressed and immediately made an appointment for my husband to see him as well. It is tough to get in to see him because he is so popular but he is well worth the wait.

Today I stopped in to Manzo Eye Care in Royal Oak, Michigan. The staff was very courteous, helpful and patient. Their was a total of 3 different people helping me at various times. The three wonderful ladies who helped me were Penny, Deb, and I didnt get the other young ladies name who helped, but she was awesome as well. I purchased a pair of sunglasses, and I will be back to purchase more (I loved those Tag-Heuer eyeglasses)! These guys get major thumbs UP! :-)

I wish I could review their services, but I didnt even make it to the eye exam. The appointment was for my son. We sat in the waiting room for an hour, then they put us in an exam room telling us we had three people ahead of us. I decided that this was not the best place for us, so we left. They did not apologize for the wait, but they said the reason for the wait was "so they could evaluate the best course for my sons eye exam". Huh?

Today was my first visit at Manzo Eye Care and I was very impressed. The staff is very personable, professional, caring and friendly and I hardly had any wait time. The waiting room is very comfortable and makes you feel at home. I went to see Dr. Manzo for cataracts and he explained the procedure in detail and in a way I could understand. I know I will be a long-time patient.

I had a GREAT experience with Manzo Eye Care. Finding an appointment through ZooDoc,com was awesome. They were able to fit me in just a couple of days. Also Dr. Barush was wonderful. Her assistant walked me through everything and explained each and every part of the exam. Dr. was helpful and insightful. I really like the patient care that was given.

By far one of the must inefficient eye care I have been too. they dont accept checks heads up. Also mixed up my insurance with someone else. they didnt explain what eye dilation was so I had no other way of getting home but to drive carefully back to my place because I had no other choice. (being new to the city)... wouldnt recommend this place.

Manzo Eye Care provided a wonderful experience. I was nervous about finding a new eye care specialist since I am new to the area. I found the staff friendly and very helpful, and they immediately put me at ease. The office even has coffee for you while you wait! Definitely one of the best experiences I have had going to the eye docs!

My experience at the office was pleasant from the very first moment I walked in the door all the way through to when I walked out. Dr. Baruch answered all of my questions and had time to listen to my concerns. She was thorough and friendly, and I felt like I was and will continue to be in good hands.

I recently switched from one of the BIG places that made me feel like a number. Manzo Eye Care provides personal, friendly, expert service. I have also been looking for a new pair of glasses for quite some time and found them in 10 minutes here! Do yourself a favor and switch to Manzo Eye Care!
