I have been very happy with Aspen in the past. The staff has been kind and communicated well with myself and my children. The assistants have always been helpful and our reg. dentist is great. This time, however, we saw a different dentist. This dentist went so far as to ask if my daughter had ever been to the dentist before - even though she is a regular patient there. He didnt look at her records first. (She broke a tooth and didnt want to trouble me with it so didnt say anything for quite a while). He then shamed her about tooth care - instruction and encouragement are just fine and dandy - kids are kids, but shaming does not help anyone. He asked about our background more than my daughters tooth care - asking where we live (getting more specific with each question) and asked what my husband does for a living. FYI - this is info in her record if its needed and not appropriate to ask. The dentist barely spoke to me about care plan - he talked to his assistant (mumbling) instead. I had to have him called back to ask questions about care going forward, and he was rather short with me. I did speak to his assistant after, and she was wonderful. She suggested I speak to the office manager, and I did. His solution was to say he was sorry and that he was sure the dentist hadnt "meant to be like that." I responded that not meaning to can be much worse, and someone needed to say something to him so another patient doesnt experience the same. I believe the manager was trying to be helpful, but I dont feel like I was really heard. I felt more like he was placating than noting a true problem. The dentist was completely inappropriate in his questions and some of the things he said. My daughter had felt ashamed that her tooth broke (probably on popcorn - these things happen!) and so didnt tell me, but now she feels shamed all around about it.

I have always had beautiful teeth until I unfortunately chose the Wrong dentist to go to. They needed to put fillings in my front teeth. After about a year I went back in thinking the fillings they did were falling out. The dentist proceeded to tell me his partner didnt drill deep enough to fill my teeth. So my cavities were still there and literally crumbling piece by piece around my filling. Completely traumatized by the experience and being told I now needed dentures. I was horrified. How could this be happening. My teeth were beautiful one year ago. And you are telling me its all because your partner didnt drill deep enough. Of course I didnt want to pay them to fix their mistake so I started doing research and Aspen dental stuck out beyond all others. My first visit was hard. Knowing what was to come. But when I walked in the door. I was treated unbelievably well. They were nicest people from the front desk to the woman who did my xrays to the Dr. Just amazing from the first second to the last. They confirmed there was no fixing my teeth so they sat down and broke down all expenses for me. Of course it is more than I had. So I chose to get all my 7 back teeth pulled before the new year so I could double up on my insurance. When I got then pulled. The Dr spoke to me the whole time. I felt absolutely no pain until the day after. I was treated with the upmost respect even though I feared I wouldnt be because of my teeth. I am now one week from getting my impressions and 2 weeks from a brand new smile and the fears have gone away. I feel completely completely comfortable with my dentist. Which is something I have never had the pleasure of feeling before aspen dental. Its a great feeling! I can not wait to finish this process. I know without a doubt I picked the best place to help me through such a life changing time.

This place is just like any large corporation. They will f*** you. I took a $3500 f***ing. I would not suggest this place. My gut told me to do just the top and see how they turned out. Im just glad I only did the top or it would have been a $12000 f***ing. Now I have to find a place to remake the tops and do the bottoms. am in the process of getting dentures on the top. The dentures they gave me for healing and getting use to dentures are useless. The teeth dont line up with my bottom. There is a gap between the front teeth on top and front teeth on bottom so big that I can not bit through lunch meat. With how far over bit the top teeth are when I bit a sandwich it pushes the front up and makes the back pull even further off the roof of my mouth then the whole plate falls because the suction and adhesive pulls free. The side molars hang over the bottom molars by more than an eighth of an inch. They dont form to the top of my mouth so the back of them hang down off the roof of my mouth causing a gagging problem. I know it takes some getting use to them. But things should at least line up. And the top should at least form to my mouth. Again, I know they are healing ones and would not be perfect but they should at least be functional. When I went in for the soft reline the lady that done it was rude. I am just about to the point I am not even going to wait to see if the permanent plate it better. I am seriously considering demanding a refund and just going to a good dentist to have them made. On the up side the dentist was great with pulling my teeth. It was not like just having them yanked out like other dentists have done in the past. The one star rating is more do to the dentures rather than the over all experience. If I would have rated it on just the tooth extraction it would have been a 5 star.

The initial exam was fine and the staff was really great with the exception of Dave, the hygienist. I found him to be extremely condescending, loud, and pushy and I really did not feel comfortable with him. I think he was trying to make me feel guilty about the state of my teeth, but its not like I just dont want to take care of my teeth. I couldnt afford to keep up until I just recently got married, got insurance, and am in a good place financially. Its pretty rude to make people feel bad about themselves unless you know their circumstances. I was in the army and they simply do not provide the luxury of preventive dental care. You get what is necessary. Try harder to treat your patients with respect, please... Hard sell doesnt work, I would buy a power toothbrush literally anywhere else for more money because of the way you treated me. Update: I should have trusted a friend when she said not to go here. She paid for a few fillings, came to find out later they didnt do all the fillings she got charged for and her tooth broke and they refuse to credit her any money back. I visited on Saturday and they said theyd call/email me with all the information from the exam on Monday. Now its over a week later and nothing still. I tried calling and got put on hold until it rang back and the lady said shed call me back, but never did. I was really hoping to have already scheduled an appointment for some of the things I need done, but I cant without the information from the exam.
