When you deal with a corporation dental establishment like Aspen youve got to be prepared to ask questions and stand your ground. Dont sign or agree to anything just because they pressure you to. Theyre not going to kill you if you say you need time to think about it, discuss it with others or look over the paperwork. I wouldnt suggest to anyone without a good insurance that is accepted by Aspen or people with the money already on hand to ever use Aspen. The CareCredit will rob you blind if youre not completely on target to pay it off fast and in big chunks. Which isnt a problem for some people. But for those who are already struggling with bills and money issues THIS is your WARNING. You will pay ridiculous interest rates that will drag you under if you use CareCredit. Looking at the probation period where you dont owe anything is a year. Seems like enough time but for a lot of people its not. Once they start tacking on that interest rate you almost cant ever get above it. So dont be so desperate that you just sign into it. Understand what youre getting into. Dont let anyone pressure, bully or goat you into making ANY decisions that youre not sure of, uncomfortable with or dont want to make an immediate decision on. Same goes for the procedures. If you find them doing something you dont like or understand. Stop them, tell them no. Its your right as a patient. They have sales to make and theyll push those procedures or products on you because thats what corporately owned dental establishments do but never forget, youre paying them. The ball is ALWAYS in your court. Its always best practice to look over all your billings as well. If somehow they did a procedure on you that you werent aware of or just didnt know your insurance didnt cover... or even if you just dont like how much it cost, talk to them. Tell them you dont want those services and yes, they do have a right to tell you its part of mandatory protocol, perhaps it is, you have the right to take your business elsewhere. That being said Aspen is good and has a very helpful and friendly staff. They can be pushy and push procedures that arent necessarily needed if you dont keep on your guard and stick to your guns. When you know you need something done though, they will do it right. My only advice in closing is this, know that the ball is always in your court, you pay them, youre the customer. Dont allow yourself to be rushed into making a decision. Be logical and reasonable knowing that youre dealing with a corporate dentist and youll be A OK to be a patient here.

The establishment is very inconsistent, communication in this place is terrible in my opinion. Although the doctors office is very clean and nice looking , the staff (not all of them) can come off as very rude . Especially the dentist. He was very rude to me. After I got work done , there had been some complications when I got home. I then called to come back so he could fix them and he had some rude remarks to say to me . Not somebody I would voluntarily want operating on my mouth. It was almost like he didnt want to fix what HE did. Its sad that you cant even feel comfortable with your doctor. Then I had an appointment for the hygienist to clean the top part of my teeth (the 2nd part was already done previously by her) and the hygienist wasnt there so the dentist had to do it. First of all its not the hygienists fault , they mis-scheduled me and didnt bother to call me saying that she would not be in attendance. I could have easily rescheduled for her. And all the dentist did was put some type of mouthwash in my mouth and called that a cleaning. So I had to call and make sure I wasnt getting cheated (which I was). I had to go back and have the hygienist do the top. She did a very good job and was the only employee that seemed to care. Other tham the lady who worked with me on the financial side of things. The last straw for me was when I had a follow up appointment voluntarily made by the hygienist to get some more cleaning done . I thought it was apart of my package that was already discussed but instead they asked for a payment up front . If I would have known there was an extra payment in the first place and that it WAS NOT apart of my package then I would have been prepared to pay that amount. Like I said communication sucks there and they are not the nicest people. The receptionists there are very cold and smart alike. The nicest person was the hygienist and that is sad because I spent the least amount of time with her. The dental assistant also was rude , she kept repeating stuff to me like I was slow or didnt hear her . Im a easy going patient, I listen to the doctors and I do not complain. So I didnt need to get talked to like a kid. I will never be in this establishment again. And I need to talk to someone who owns Aspen Dental. There are some serious issues going on at this location

I went to 6810 Dixie highway Louisville ky Aspen Dental. The dentist who worked on me was Dr. Guthrie and his assistants.I wanted an exam and possibly filling. They put a filling on my canine tooth and another filling. After I got home in two hours the filling fell out on the canine.I went back the next day to put the small filling on the very healthy canine.Over the year I spent a total of $4400.After about a year my canine tooth started hurting and brown streaks appeared on the tooth.I then flossed and that filling came out again revealing a large cavity underneath. ASPEN DENTAL HAD PUT A FILLING OVER A TOOTH THAT THEY DIDNT DRILL ALL THE CAVITY OUT.I went to another dentist and they said there is no guarantee that the tooth wont go bad so I had to have it pulled and get my first denture.I have taken good care of my teeth and I am a vegan.A perfectly good front tooth with a small cavity NOW GONE.Care Credit the loan they push on you says they gave me a 14.90% interest loan but in actuality its 29.66% interest and i have a 720 credit score.I called Aspen and I told them about part of a filling that fell out in two months in which the other dentist repaired. One more filling fell out in front on the other side and I had to pay Aspen to put that back in so I had to pay twice.I contacted the Attorney General who referred me to the Kentucky Board or Dentistry.I also contacted the Better Business bureau and the Wave troubleshooter.Aspen said they are only responsible for the filling that fell out in 2 months which is probably around $140 in which I havent received anything. I am now looking for a lawyer. $140 for all ive went through with fillings falling out, the pain that Ive went through and losing a healthy front tooth in which i had to pay for a denture.ASPEN DENTAL IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.THEY DO QUICK ASSEMBLY LINE SUBSTANDARD WORK.THEY ARE PREDATORS OF THE CONSUMER.Do NOT go there because your teeth are an important part of your health.
