This place does nothing more than try to rip you off. I had to switch dentists this year due to changing my insurance, and I really wished I stayed with my old insurance. Aspen requires you to have a "new patient appointment", which means you have to pay a co-pay for it, where all they do is take x-rays, do a gum exam, and have the dentist look at your teeth for approximately 30 seconds. The hygienist told me I brush too hard and I should get an electric toothbrush with a pressure sensor, which sounded reasonable to me, and I figured I’d look online at some and maybe buy one at a later time. However, she did explicitly tell me I should not spend any less than $60 on an electric toothbrush, which I found odd. After the dentist looked at my teeth very briefly, he told me my x-rays looked great, but I had old fillings filled with “weird material” and that they should be redone. I just said “okay” because it seemed believable since I did have some childhood fillings that were getting old. After this, you get taken into an office where the financial aspect is explained to you, so you know how much you are required to pay based on what treatments they think you need. Since getting my own dental insurance separate from my parents, I have not paid any money to a dentist for any work. So imagine my shock when I saw the potential bill of over $400. The costs associated with this bill were: 2 co-pays (one for “new patient appointment” and one for a cleaning appointment), an oral cancer screening not covered by insurance and something I never agreed to get, $150 for an electric toothbrush which I never said I wanted, a fluoride treatment due to me being “at risk” due to my next point, and FOUR cavities that they claimed I needed. How I go from seeing a dentist twice last year and hearing nothing but good things about my dental hygiene, to having 4 cavities needed is beyond me. After I asked the receptionist to remove the cancer screening and toothbrush since I never asked for them in the first place, I was taken back for my cleaning, because they just happened to have an appointment open up while I was there. The hygienist did, what I thought to be, a very brief and skimpy cleaning. I had mentioned I didn’t want the fluoride treatment, and she insisted I needed it due to being “high risk” because of my “4 cavities”. I politely declined and she was visibly annoyed. She informed me that there was another cancellation so if I wanted I could have my “cavities” filled right now, but I declined and said I’d rather come back. I ended up leaving only paying my 2 co-pays, but what an overwhelming negative experience. It’s clear that Aspen uses fear tactics and rushed decisions to try to get money out of patients. I usually have positive dental appointments because I take good care of my teeth, so I felt very shocked and insulted that Aspen tried to rip me off. I have since canceled my cavity filling appointment because I simply do not trust the dentist that I have 4 cavities that need filling after having 2 perfect appointments last year. Unfortunately this is the only place I can go due to my insurance, and if that is the case for you too, beware! Go into your appointment with the right expectations. I was nothing but disappointed by Aspen. Also, it’s very obvious that some of these 5 star ratings aren’t real. Who actually remembers all the names of the receptionists, hygienists, and dentists?

OUTSTANDING! Is the one word I would use to describe Dr Sitjar and the rest of the staff at Aspen Dental in Warsaw. If there is another word that is more superior then I would use that word, but OUTSTANDING is the word that comes to mind, but I digress... After such an amazing experience my standards for dentists have been raised to a new level! I needed an emergency crow replaced and was in a lot of discomfort because every time I ate I ended up gnawing on my cheek. At the time I worked at a radio station in the downtown area, so my schedule was tight. Thankfully the office manager, Sarah, was able to get me in and worked around my schedule. The first time I visited I was greeted by the lovely patient service representative by the name of Ellen. The cool thing is I only had to wait a few mins to see Amanda, who is the hygienist. Immediately, Dr Sitjar’s dental assistants Adrienne and Susan worked on my defunct crown. There was NO PAIN when the old one was popped off and the temporary was on in a few mins! The procedure was done in two visits and the second was just as painless as the first! My permanent crow took several dozen attempts to get the bite PERFECT! Why? Because Surprise! I kept talking while Dr. Sitjar was molding the specimen… Now, I can chew on jawbreakers and raw Jasmine rice! Ok, NO not really, but that’s how durable my new crown is! There was a mix up in the scheduling and I was supposed to see Amanda on the second visit as well. Although, they had a full schedule of other patients to see Amanda was able to treat me! She was so quick that I didn’t have time to give her a full radio interview. As far as payments, Aspen Dental is very affordable as they work with your insurance company and are willing to fit your baguette…I mean budget (dang auto correct!) I highly recommend Drs Sitjar and Dr. Losier. Oh, and gentlemen Dr. Sitjar is a looker, so if you’re afraid of the dentists don’t focus on the drill… Motor Mouth McGee

I have been going to Aspen Dental in Warsaw for close to 6 months now getting a range of treatments. I havent been to a dentist in close to 10 years because I knew that my teeth needed a lot of work and I didnt think I could afford to get them fixed. I saw the add for a free first appointment and I had been having a lot of issues so I decided to call. When I came in I was greeted by Sarah, who is a fantastic receptionist. When the doctor came back to talk to me he sat down and explained everything that was going on. There was a lot more needing done than I expected, but the doctor explained to me what needed done first and what could wait if it needed to. Then I went to Chris, the office manager, and she told me all of my options. I was able to get approved to get everything thing done that I needed so I called and scheduled my first appointment. When I came back in Chris told me that their prices had gone up since my last visit but she told me that she would do all of the work for price I was quoted originally, which was significantly less. Then I met Gene... who has been the assistant for the majority of my visits, and with the exception of being a Packers fan, has been absolutely wonderful. Everyone in the office has been nothing short of fantastic, I actually look forward to catching up with them and getting a chance to talk with them. They have spent hour on top of hour working with me to give me the best smile of my life. They have given me the confidence to smile again and that is priceless. I recommend them to everyone that I get a chance to. I look forward to being a patient of theirs for years to come and I am even going to start bringing my daughter once she is old enough. I cant thank them enough for everything that they have done for me.
