My implant was rather difficult. When I was young my eye teeth grew in next to my front teeth and I had to wear braces for nearly four years to pull these eye teeth back. This made room for the correct teeth (incisors) to be mounted with a "Maryland" bridge. The incisors had two metal plates that would glue to the back of the teeth next to it. This was a good idea at the time but the glue only lasts so long (10 +/- years) and eventually would break off - at the worst time of course. I wanted a permanent solution such as an implant. After consulting with several dentists I learned that there was a problem. When my eye teeth were moved over with the braces, the roots wanted to stay where they were - so they were actually angled towards the area where an implant screw would be. Some dentists thought we may be able to move the roots surgically, another wanted to shave down my front teeth and eye teeth to mount a new type of bridge. After some research I learned about the mini dental implant which used a thinner screw (but made with titanium so it is super strong). I thought maybe this screw would be just thin enough to get by the roots of my eye teeth. I searched for the best mini dental implant person in this multi state area and Dr Larry Stroud appeared to be the best. He has done thousands and thousands of these implants. I went to his office and they took some x-rays and he said this will be tough but I can get it done. He was able to get the screw in there exactly how it needed to be and it was quick, painless, and a fraction of the price some of these other doctors would have charged for a long drawn out surgical process. I had one tooth done two months ago (the Maryland bridge is still working for my other tooth) and it looks fantastic. My bite feels great, the tooth matches my other teeth, and it is in there solid. I cant be any happier with the process and results. As soon as the other Maryland bridge fails, we will do the other side. Due to the difficulty in my procedure, I am so glad I chose Dr Larry Stroud. He is the best and if you are questioning whether you should have this done or who to go to, I highly suggest consulting with him. The results are amazing.

I have had a good experience with Dr. Stroud and his staff. They have always been courteous and helpful. I found Dr. Stroud to be very professional, but still maintains that personable attitude that makes you a little more at ease, which you need for dental work. He was very forth coming and detailed about the procedures and time that would be involved in doing the restoration process that I needed done. It was a seven month process and a lot of soft chew cookies and ice cream and still lost about 15 pounds of weight. In saying that, I will say that there is an enjoyment about eating and without teeth, that enjoyment is no longer there, except for the ice cream and cookies. I have just finished my process and this week, I dug into a slab of ribs, and corn on the cob. As a wedding DJ and singer, it is nice now to be able to take a picture with my hosts and not be embarrassed by my smile. It didnt help my singing voice, but Dr. Stroud doesnt perform miracles. I was complimented in a restaurant about having a nice smile. Now that was a first for me. In conclusion, I would say that my experience has been good and would recommend Dr. Stroud to anyone. For any dental implant candidates, I would urge you to go and see Dr. Stroud and see what he can do for you.

My experience with Dr. Stroud was absolutely amazing. I had worried about missing teeth as well as other physical issues that arise when your dental health is weak. Dr. Stroud was able to give me replacement teeth which solved many health issues such as digestion as I could not chew well before I had mini implants. Missing teeth were such an emotional issue for me as well that after the implants I felt like a new person I am so happy with my new teeth and wish I had these implants years before. Dr. Stroud made all of this possible for me and I will always be grateful to him for that. In addition, his office staff is the absolute BEST!!! They are kind, friendly, professional and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in . Every one in the office made the whole experience of mini implants much easier.

What a wonderful experience! I am so thankful I saw Dr. Stroud on WAVE3Listens and took my Mother to see him. My Mother originally had the old fashioned dental implants (3) to anchor old fashioned dentures. She hardly ever wore them because they were uncomfortable. Mom would take them out to eat, which limited what she could eat. She was miserable and even cried when I questioned where her dentures were. I told her about Dr. Stroud and his process. I talked her into just going to see him and let him look at her old implants and see if he could help her. Dr. Stroud did help her and in her own words she said, "From the first bite of food they did not feel weird, or foreign, it was like my own teeth. I never had pain or discomfort whatsoever. The procedure itself was virtually painless."

Dr. Stroud did my mini dental implants. I am now going to have to spend another $15,000 to have another dentist replace his work on my top plate which have kept coming out. I am now, after repeated replacements, down to a total of two screws. That is not totally true, two of the implant screws are broken off and are still in my mouth. Even a couple that are in the bottom that have held are put in crooked. Even at that,the bottom screws are workable and ok, the top? A total waste of money. Im sorry, this has been my experience and I have attempted to be totally honest about the whole process. I cannot recommend Dr. Stroud. Im glad that others have had a positive experience, Im sorry that was not my experience, and I truly wish I had gone elsewhere and I cannot recommend him.

I went for years having to apply adhesive to my lower dentures many times during the course of the day. Sometimes I would have to leave the table to apply more to finish a meal. I have had my implants for three weeks now and love them, love them, love them. There was minimal pain involved in getting the implants put in. Had a little more pain that night but Dr. Stroud provided pain medication. Only needed it the first night. After that . . . a piece of cake. Dr. Stroud and his staff are very nice and personable. I highly recommend him.

The implant i just received was one of the easiest (and painless) dental experiences ive ever had. Dr. Stroud took the time to answer all questions that i had regarding the procedure, risks, and follow up. He IS the professional in this area for this type of procedure and displayed compassionate and caring professionalism throughout the initial consultation, implant insertion, and crown placement. I would recommend anyone interested in implant technology should consult with Dr. Stroud and his kind staff.
