Went here today for the first time with my husband and children. I was looking for a supplement to help curb my appetite while I work towards clean eating. The manager was a hefty man with reddish hair, I didnt catch his name. He "helped" me by telling me that an appetite suppressant wasnt going to help any if I didnt change my thought process, started dieting and threw away all the unhealthy foods in my home. I kindly said that I needed something to help me along until I can retrain my body to not crave sugar and fat. I didnt want to address his obvious negative attitude towards large people. He gave me what I wanted and when I thanked him and turned away he said snidly to me "good luck because its going to be a long and impossible journey for you". My heart just about broke. Not only do I have a long and negative history with food but this is the heaviest Ive been in my life and Ive decided to change it. The last thing I needed was the hurtful and damaging comments from the manager of a health food store. Fast forward to 20 minutes later, my family was hungry after a long day of running errands and I bought the kids meal of PB and J and some fruit and some other items for my husband. I had a bowl of raw kale, a pear and some hummus from the salad bar. My children are 23 months and 3 and a half. They were slightly agitated because it was past naptime. My husband and I always keep in mind the people around us when were out and the kids are cranky. After they are the majority of their food he took my youngest to the car who was very tired. They werent disruptive to warrant us leaving but were hyper aware to the peace of others in public. They walked by the same manager, sitting and eating his lunch. This man made a shooing motion to my husband and muttered good riddance to him and my youngest on the way out. I cleaned up our table in short order and took the hand of my oldest and also promptly left. Everyone else in the store who served us was extremely friendly and helpful except the manager. I will not enter this store ever again and alredy many people I know, have decided to follow suit because they are young families with children or mildly overweight like me.

This store treats transwomen and people of ethnic minorities as third class citizens. I am a transwoman who took female hormones for 2 years and because of this, developed adrenal gland problems. I was patiently waiting at the counter to speak with the health expert about some health related questions...and out of the blue the manager (a fat, short, hairy old white man) rudely addressed me as "SIR"!!! I asked him to leave me alone because he was being rude and transphobic and he immediately began talking about calling the cops. Another employee, whom I was nothing but nice to, called me "SIR" again for no reason. As I vacated the premises as instructed I gave them the middle finger, and then they started recording me against my permission. No doubt when they get home, they will send the recording to their friends and laugh about me while calling me rude slurs. I did leave the premises, but not without politely telling other people I encountered not to shop at their store ever again! Ive seen this a thousand times. Primitive man, (the manager) sees another male lingering around a woman, savage instincts kick and without reason feels the need to overbear themselves on the other male lingering around the woman. I am male, but I am not a man, not dude, not sir. This is why I have panic attacks and I am afraid to leave my place most of the time. If I could give them zero stars I would. I am treated no different than a black person in 1960. Do not shop at this store unless you like hateful, abusive bullies and bigots. The sad fact of the matter is people like this are the reason I have poor adrenal glands in the first place.

I went into this store last night and had the best trip yet. Every time I go here I have the best "personalized service". I went to the Deli area to ask them about something near by and ended up leaving with Tiramisu and the best chicken salad ever. The guy that was working said he had made is so kudos to him for making the best chicken salad Ive ever had! The young girl that was helping me out was SO helpful, courteous, and friendly it was NOT like going to other delis where people are obligated to help you. She had amazing customer service skills and I applaud the way they worked together in a very team oriented positive environment. One of the guys on Grocery came over to see if he could help with my original inquiry, which he then went in a store wide search for me. Aaron, Michael, and the two working the deli whos names I didnt get made for a fabulous trip. I was ill and needed all the help I could get and that team went above and beyond to help me. As a manager, Id be very proud to receive a review like this so please pass it along that theyre amazing and have made a lifetime customer! I also left my coupon at home and the young lady at the register looked it up and applied it happily vs seeming annoyed! Good people who deserve the recognition. I just finished my tiramisu and that was amazing too! Thanks guys!

I absolutely love this location and almost fell on the floor laughing at the clearly false review that was given about the pink haired manager there by Jennifer C. First off you state she isnt a manager because youve met a manager there before. Is this your first time in a store that you believe theres only one manager? You just happen to witness this same person treating a man that you just by coincidence have ran into before being belittled by her yet you chose to continue to shop there? Who does this? And yes of course you spend sooooo much money there, like your money is greener than everybody elses and the pink haired girl just went off on you for kicks...its never the self entitled customer whom is unreasonable. Im glad you claim you wont shop there anymore because now I wont have to stand in line behind you while you cause a scene because your cheap little discount didnt work out the way YOU WANTED IT TO because youre special and dont have to follow the rules the like rest of us. I call bull crap on this one

Great store and staff. I went there for the first time today and thanks to the helpful staff, I will defenitly come back and recommend to others. This review is mainly for MICHAEL, he works in the herbal department and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. My little one was very sick with a sore throat and I went to 2 doctors and they told me to just give her Tylenol. After a very frustrating day trying to help my little one, I talked to Michael and he recommended some drops and they worked amazingly!! He knows his stuff and his recommendation helped my daughter tremendously. Thanks so much!
