- I was an Out of state patient . I was visiting my sister and brother in law in Missouri when plan didnt go as well plan I went to the ER somewhere else in Monnet, MO. The ER at this Monnet MO was really good . But, sadly I got to get transfer to Coxhealth. My experience with Coxhealth most be the worse hositpal I ever attend too. Seriously, the worse. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I understand that there was a lot of other patients who were in need just as I was in need too but, seriously, those nurses and doctors are kind people, but I feel like they are such a joke. I had a procedure supposedly to be done on Sunday morning around 9-10am but there were some last minute change so the nurse said around afternoon which I didnt mind at all. Finally, around afternoon about 2:30pm I got the news to start the procedure . I didnt get wheel down until 3:30pm. That was an hour waiting for these people to get me down to the procedure room, sad. When I finally get down there, i had to wait, AGAIN. Another hour and a half waiting for the doctor and to be wheel in. It was such a pain. Probably, one of the longest wait ever. My procedure didnt start until 7pm, smh. The whole entire time when I got there, I couldnt eat or drink due to the procedure. I basically starve for 2 and a half days. After the procedure, the daytime shift nurse was probably the worse nurse just because they took FOREVER to attend to you when you need them there. I understand that there are other patients too but I feel like they lack so much on attending to every patient as soon as possible. Dont get me wrong, they are really nice and sweet but they lack so much on attending care to their patients. I really like my night shift nurse though. It took the nurse hours for them to come back to you with something that could of been done in minutes. I had to wait hours for pain killers which i find that ridiculous. I felt so bad for the people who were in much greater than me. These nurse and doctor lack so much on time. Something they need to improve on . Also, I was talking to my roommate, a much older lady. She just got done talking to this doctor assistant which i felt like this assistant fail to attend her needs with fincianal help. She just kepts saying "okay" and nodding her head . Like, "what the heck, lady." She is crying for help and you just sit there like nothing is going on. I felt so bad for this helpless roommate of mine, I got up and start talking to her , understand her suffer and crys. Its just horriable to see this doctor assistant not finding help for this lady balling her eyes out. Smh. She didnt even offer any fincianal assistant to her too. Also, when i got discharge it took them FOREVER but, it didnt come to a susprise to me at all since I knew it will take them forever to come back. -.- But, after all the discharge paper has giving back to me , the nurse said theyll have transportation for me to be wheel down but i waited an hour for them. I finally just got up and said f-this I aint waiting anymore (My husband and kids was waiting for me down in the main office) . It was such a painfully and slow service I ever went to. I also was told by the nurse saying that my insurance covered but turns out i have a bill. Like what else can go wrong with this hositpal . I also ask for an financial assistant help , someone i can talk to, yeah, i never got that chance instead this nurse just came up to me and said "oh Coxhealth will take care of your stays and all , you just have to pay for the prescription drugs, thats all" They lying, i got a bill. Dont waste your money on this hospital . Everything is just wrong in so many ways. Anyways, thats my story. No lies at all. Good day .

One of the worst experiences Ive had. I took in a family member with terminal cancer who was in severe pain and thought she was having a heart attack. Wed already been to the ER the week before and found that her cancer had spread to her brain again. She refused medication for heart burn that shed already taken and wanted more pain medication, so the older doctor came in and mocked her for refusing medication and treated her like she was an idiot even though shes an RN and knew it wasnt working. The nurses drew blood from both of her arms despite having a port. They did not give her a call button and when I went out to ask them about pain management they were snappy. I could hear them loudly talking about drug seeking patients who go to different ERs (probably talking about us since wed preciously gone to south, but this was closest and we felt that this was emergent) as well as disliking how the hospitals are run. It took almost seven hours to do what amounted to probably thirty minutes to an hour of work (blood work, x Ray, CT scan) when the ER had very little foot traffic and plenty of people standing around complaining about their jobs. They finally transferred to cox south her due to a tear in her aorta. They changed their attitudes completely after her diagnosis and downplayed the severity of her condition and even told her daughter that it would be fine to still go on vacation when she could die soon. They had treated her like a drug seeking idiot for legitimate pain. I would recommend just taking the extra time to drive across town to Cox south even if it is closest to you, because the people here are burn outs that dont like their jobs and will not treat you well.

DONT GO HERE! Even if you live in Branson take the time if possible to go to a hospital in Springfield instead. It will save you so much time and so much money in the long run. The lack of training, communication and The worst most unprofessional experience Ive had in any industry period. There is a reason they have a rating of 2.2 . If you dont believe me that theyre horrible just ask 10 of your friends in Branson, any friends and youll hear horror stories. Once I had my bad experience and I spoke with local friends about it almost everyone verified the horrible experience with their own experiences. Im on hold right now with collections on a hospital visit that happened 1 year ago! Thats how long Ive been dealing with Cox. It all started when I visited them for rectal bleeding that they coded as "routine well visit" which then my insurance wouldnt cover. Now 1 year later and countless hours on the phone with Cox for a bill on an operation that didnt fix the problem Im still dealing with them. And now I have a mark against my credit for a bill they never sent me a notice for that went to collectors. The worst thing, the problem was never fixed and Im in pain and still color the toilet red with blood every morning 1 year later. Im going to another hospital this week.

Re: the other review of patient with "stomach flu"... aka gastroenteritis. This is what I had. People who have not had this do not know how awful it is. I wanted to die. People have died from this from becoming dehydrated and their BP tanking. You spoke of people saying"only stomach flu" and "should be feeling better by now"... I dont know how old you are but I am 60 and it took me 6 weeks to get over it since the immune system wears down over time. So you are correct, no compassion or understanding of illnesses or sick people. The other thing was that I had to have paperwork completed under FMLA so I could keep my job and be reimbursed for time lost through short-term disability. No one in the office knew how to do this paperwork and ended up saying they "dont fill out these types of papers". I would think that college graduates could fill out and sign a piece of paper. Find out FIRST if your doctors office can handle such requests, if not go find someone else. Personally I was way too sick at the time to do this and I am so sorry I went to Cox North. I am posting this with 1 star as they will not allow 0 stars.
