I have been a back pain sufferer for a good portion of my life. When I was sixteen-years-old, I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disorder in the lumbar section, based on an MRI. Generally speaking, DDD isn’t diagnosed until later in life, so this came as a shock to my family and me. What was I to do with a suffering spine that was so ‘young?’ Two years ago, at age twenty-four, I was also told I was suffering from arthritis, in addition to DDD. I didn’t know what to think when I heard that! The lingering pain was also because of arthritis? I couldn’t believe it. For someone who was a very active child and teenager, playing sports year-round, this was astonishing. Because of these diagnoses, I was told a pain-free life was out of the question – those days were long gone. I was going to have to live with the aches and pains for the rest of my days. Throughout the years, I have had many x-rays, MRIs, trigger point injections, and reluctantly, even a facet block. The facet block was supposed to eliminate my lumbar back pain for an extended period of time. Little did I know, this costly procedure made my pain disappear for less than a month. I was frustrated. All I could have ever wanted was to live without the pain I had suffered from for so many years. I felt I had tried everything, except for chiropractic care. I began seeing Dr. Shorter in January 2012, thanks to a referral by a college classmate. I cannot stress enough how elated I am that I made the call for an appointment. I feel like a different person. The care I have received has been phenomenal. I appreciate how honest and how compassionate Dr. Shorter has been while I have been a patient in the office – I have finally found a doctor and his staff who truly care about me and how I feel. No longer do I suffer from chronic back pain. If I could turn back the clock, I would have been seeing a chiropractor long before I spent precious time and money into temporary fixes. I can honestly say that this is the best I have felt in ten years. I have referred my friends and family to Dr. Shorter, because I know he and his staff have cared for me, and I know they would do the same for anyone. Dr. Shorter has been the only chiropractor I have ever seen, and he will be the only one I will ever see.

My family and my entire dental office have been seeing Dr. Shorter and his staff for several years and have been extremely impressed with their genuine care and concern for each patient that walks through their door. His staff is friendly and personal and they work diligently to file my insurance and to get the most out of my coverage. His massage therapist is amazing as well. Dr. Chris Shorter himself is a wonderful doctor and is highly skilled; one of the best in his field of medicine. I was greatly impressed with his office and will be a patient for life. I highly recommend this office for anyone who is experiencing pain or discomfort with muscles, joints, back or neck.

Our whole family has been going to Dr. Shorter for over two years. He is the best chiropractor we have had, (and weve seen several in Missouri and Illinois). He doesnt just give adjustments, he takes the time to review each patients medical history in order to provide the most thorough medical advice and treatment. I have two kids who figure skate, and Dr. Shorter can always tell when one of them has had a bad fall on the ice. He puts everything aright, whether its the back and neck, or hip, leg or ankle. The ladies who run the office could not be more pleasant or helpful. Id go once a month just to see them! Wouldnt dream of chancing it with any other chiropractor.

I have never felt so cared for and calm in a public environment before going to Dr. Shorter Chiropractic . Dr. Shorter and his staff only give the best care and kindness to the patience coming through their door. My back has been bothering me since June (Couldnt sit or walk without pain). I met a different chiropractor 6 times with no results. I decided to come to Shorter because of all the positive feedback I received from his patients. I met with him twice and have NO back pain. THE BEST!! I am not one to say that often nor do I give many reviews. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shorter to anyone that is looking for a chiropractor without any hesitancy!! Dr. Shorter & his staff are not only friendly and professional, they take a personal interest in you as a person. Dr. Shorter and his team work hard to help you find as much of a SOLUTION to your aches and pains as you can, rather than just a quick fix. The pricing is very reasonable and there is no pressure to make several appointments to keep coming back.

Dr. Shorter and his staff are extremely professional and effective. The office runs very smoothly. Dr. Shorter was extremely thorough in his examination and did not hurry through the appointment. He was actually seeing my 8 yr old son. My son was a bit nervous and the Dr. calmed his nerves easily, while communicating every move and treatment completely so not to surprise him. The treatments proved effective and we will continue to use him for future issues. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

The staff are amazingly friendly. Theyre fast and can almost always get you in on the same day. Theyre financially very friendly and have monthly specials and referral programs so that everyone can afford their services. Dr. Shorter is incredibly professional as well as being kind, considerate, and fun to talk to or make a joke with. I highly recommend that people try the services here, its a wonderful change from the run-around you usually get at other places.

My lower back and a section of my neck was so out of alignment that they had structurally started to curve. I was in pain and had trouble grasping objects. The staff was s very friendly while still being very professional. Dr. Shorter gave me a through exam complete with x-rays. Afterward, he very patiently explained why I hurt and determined an appropriate treatment. I felt much better after treatment. I highly recommend this facility.

My family and have been going to Dr. Shorter for about 4 years now and couldnt be happier with the care we receive! I have ongoing back and neck issues which have been dramatically alleviated. Also, I was in a car accident and suffered whiplash a few years ago which Dr. Shorter helped me through. All of the staff are absolutely wonderful and always friendly. I especially like the treats that they seem to have around fairly often ;)

I have been to many chiros in the past years for painful lower back and neck problems. Never got total relief . This is by far the best ever. From my first visit, I became almost painfree. After 3rd visit totally painfree and have been ever since. I am amazed at the results. He and his staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. No long waiting time. Price is right.

Dr. Shorter and his staff are very friendly and helpful. They take time to answer questions and give correct definitive answers. Its hard with my schedule to plan ahead so they are good at working me in when they can. I have worked for several chiropractors over the years and seen several, Dr Shorter is one of the better chiropractors out there to suit my needs.
