This was the worst; I would give it 0 stars if I could, probably even negative. I only saw the elder Rustad, but based off of my experience with him, I have no interest in seeing the younger Rustad. I left the clinic and never called back, but I have a feeling that if I had, I would be out several thousands of dollars, with no results. I cant say enough - DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH THIS OFFICE! IT IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! Read below if you want, just know that my list of complaints is long. The clinic is very poorly run, and was obviously understaffed when I went. The doctor is a grumpy old man, who REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE CURRENT RESEARCH, has terrible manners, and is extremely unpleasant to be around. Hes a hack, and I wouldnt go back even if the clinic re-paid me for my visit. The treatments they offer are ridiculously over-priced. Some practices they hold are literally illegal. I had to wait until 40 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment, in a sticky (yes, sticky) and disgusting waiting room. The doctor is INCREDIBLY rude, and upon coming to see me, he looked at my face and immediately muttered "Yup, thats pretty bad". He had no problem telling me how "ugly" and "messed up" my face was, and was quick to prescribe me some VERY expensive treatments and medications. While he was explaining to me what caused acne, I caught several things he told me that were either wrong, or flat out lies. I know this because I had done extensive reading on acne, including medical research papers (published by the journals that supply the information that GOES INTO the textbooks medical students read). When I asked him how expensive the treatments were, he said that he didnt know, but that "seven, eight thousand dollars spent isnt much when youre fixing a face like that." He slapped and grabbed my face several times when speaking in reference to my acne, and went on a 10 minute tirade about how the current acne field is all bad science, and how hes got a better treatment that "all the other scientists dont like", because "they dont understand it". One of the treatments they offer is removal of pimples and blackheads by use of a comedone extractor - no more than 12 dollars at any decent store. They wanted to charge me $120 per "operation", and to see me 3 times a week. I only learned the price because I made the nurse call their accountant and ask how much he charged the insurance and patient - aside from the accountant, NOBODY in the office knew. The doctor prescribed me some medicine and TOLD ME to go to a certain pharmacy to pick it up. He told me I COULD go elsewhere, but that it wouldnt work, because the pharmacists at the referred pharmacy are the only ones who can compound it correctly (even though its just like following a recipe). The problem with the pharmacy referral is that IT IS ILLEGAL TO REFER YOUR PATIENTS TO A PHARMACY. You cant force them to buy their medications anywhere - they are legally required to have a choice of pharmacies. At the end of the appointment, the doctor wrote me a prescription that his nurse couldnt even read. We tried to figure it out, but when we brought it back to him, even HE couldnt read his own handwriting. He just thought about it again, and re-prescribed me some medications. He gave me a PAPER prescription, which is so antiquated its laughable, but with the fact that his writing wasnt legible, he essentially gave the pharmacy free license to give me whatever they felt like. Hopefully they would have been competent enough to know what drugs treated what conditions, but if they routinely dealt with him (and it VERY much seemed like they did) I doubt they had any decent amount of integrity. I could go on even further about how bad this clinic is, but Ive already written an essay. If you take one thing away, take this - DO NOT COME HERE.

What Nick T. described was almost exactly my experience, and he misdiagnosed me. I was ok with the pharmacy recommendation because they are local instead of a nationwide chain, but I didnt get my medication until the next day because of a mix up. Also, you get emails and phone calls 6 months after your appointment, which are a hassle. Another also, Im in school for dietetics, and his ex wife is a dietitian and he insulted the profession, which was very uncomfortable. On a good note, luckily, the pharmacist was very nice after the mix up and also told me of an OTC cream that cost $3 which was the same thing as the expensive prescription (I dont remember the exact price).

My experience with Dr. Rustad was excellent. I had to wait in the lobby a little longer than I would have liked but I was the last appointment of the day. Both staff and Dr. Rustad were apologetic in that regard. Once I met with Dr. Rustad I was happy to have made the choice that I did in going there. He was friendly, professional, expediant and I couldnt have been much happier with the overall experience. My results were also fantastic.

Dr Rustand is really nice and helped my scalp flaking issue. My low stars are because I had some skin tags removed (roughly 10) and he nicked me in 2-3 of the places. He uses cold air to "numb" the skin and then takes them off with a scalpal. They bled again when I removed the bandaids that night, 4 hours later, and are still sensitive the next few days day requiring bandaids
