If I were just rating the nurses/assistants, this rating would be much higher. They treated us very well. But, the front of the house brought it down to one star. We went there as new patients and were greeted by such an unfriendly receptionist, we almost left. She barks out directions without even a "Good Morning". She was sitting there having a conversation with a co-worker , and when I tried to say we were new patients, she told us we would have to wait since she was busy. She is not patient friendly. When we had to go back, we asked for a simple printout of what we had paid at the last visit in order to send a copy to our medical debit card company. She refused and said it would take two weeks to get that for us. Every doctors office I have ever been to can give you an immediate copy of your account. I doubt we ever will get that. We were not the only ones treated in this manner by this person. We observed the same behavior with other patients. No one enjoys going to a doctor, but in our area we are accustomed to being treated with courtesy and respect. That is not the case from the front office of Dermatology Specialists of Alabama - Auburn. We will be looking for an alternative.

Terrible attitudes from the entrance to the exit.. dismissed them as having a rough day at first but was shocked to hear nurses right outside my door about how they "hate patients like that" (referring to me as I was the only one in a consult room at the time, presenting the problem that I had self assessed) calling me a know it all, and get this-- DISCUSSING HOW BAD MY BREATH apparently WAS saying that I needed a stick of gum to one another right outside my door. Awful experience. I was uncomfortable from that point on to the extent where I felt unable to discuss my reasons for the visit once the doctor had come in. Im not making this up. But I am livid, humiliated and will NEVER return or recommend Dr. Nashs staff to anyone.

Young person who did my body scan due to an object on my left calf. She removed it . I had to call to find out what it was. They said it was melanoma and that i should come back to have more removed. i cancelled my appointment and i received three calls asking when i wanted to reschedule. Each time i said when i am ready i will call back. Now i get a certified letter in the mail. Excuse me. I called today asking why a letter was sent. I was told a nurse would call me back. That was over an hour ago. Not impressed.

Visiting this office we have always experienced insanely long waiting times and always received incorrect billing. People that show up AFTER you are often seen before you. The nurse was rude throughout the entire consultation and was heard speaking badly about my mother outside the door of the room. She even made nasty remarks to her face once inside. Safe to say, none of our family will be returning to this office and I suggest finding another dermatologist to see because we will be doing the same.

Im dont understand all the negativity for this business. I was greeted promptly and with courtesy by the receptionist. The waiting area was clean and pleasant. My prep nurse was courteous and explained what would happen on my first visit. Dr Espy was courteous, explained what he would do and what to expect. He answered all of my questions and performed the procedures professionally and painlessly. My entire experience was pleasant.

I made an appointment with them and they later confirmed. It was an evening appointment. I showed up and the office was close. A sign said the office would be closed because the providers will be out of the office. However no one ever called me to let me know. I called their number the next morning and was on hold for a long time. Finally I just hung up. Looks like the comments about this business are valid. It looks to be poorly run.

Great first visit today from start to finish. My appointment was at 10:00 and I was out at 10:45. The office staff and nurses were fantastic. The physician I saw today was extremely polite, listened to what I had to say and took as much time with me as I needed. The dermatologist made me feel at ease and comfortable. I was skeptical based previous reviews but I had a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this group.

I agree with E rob. when I took my daughter to this place the girl at the front desk had a terrible attitude. which really made me feel like I should have gone to a different doctor. However, the nurse and the PA were very friendly and easy to talk to.

I dont know how this place stays in business. Absolutely no regard for their patients time. One visit turns into four trips to their office and/or the pharmacist because of timing issues. Find another Dermatologist.

The doctor and staff were friendly and efficient. Did not have to wait long in waiting room nor patient room. Quick in and out which is what I like.
