Dr. Hagan told me he would be able to perform surgery on my dog to repair her cruciate tear. I brought my dog home from surgery. She was not "right." I called Dr. Hagan and told him I was concerned. He gave her more pain meds. The next day I called again with concern for my dogs well being. He gave her a shot for pain. I inquired about doing bloodwork. He told me that it wasnt necessary, she would be fine with the pain meds. The next day I took her to the emergency vet in Linwood. They ran her bloodwork. My dog was in kidney failure. She had bloodwork prior to surgery and was in excellent condition. The kidney failure happened due to a drop in blood pressure during surgery. This should have been monitored during surgery and prevented/treated at the time. It was not. My dog had to stay at the emergency vet to receive care to reverse the kidney failure. While receiving treatment for kidney failure, the cruciate repair Dr. Hagan performed unraveled and poked through my dogs leg. She also developed a staff infection in the knee repaired by Dr. Hagan. Dr. Diefenderfer and the team at Linwoods emergency hospital saved my dogs life. She had to have surgery to remove the "repair" done by Dr. Hagan. She had to be casted with nothing holding her knee together for months in order to treat the infection. Her knee had to be opened and flushed several times to treat the infection. The infection settled in her tongue and she lost part of her tongue because of this infection. She had to be fed through a feeding tube. Dr. Diefenderfer had to rerepair her crutiate tear once the infection was cleared up and her kidneys were functioning properly again. The treatments to save my dog took more than 6 months. My dog had to live at the vets office and I had to visit her everyday. Dr. Hagan cost me over $15,000 and almost cost me my dogs life. Dr. Hagan is not certified to treat crutiate tears and should not be performing these surgeries.

When Cologne Animal Hospital first opened, I must have been one of their first customers. My Dobererman was having issues. She had been under the care of several Vets. No one saw that she had a severe thyroid condition. Dr. Zuchonic, then the vet in charge, saw my dogs condition at first glance. Ever since then, Ive taken my animals there. I also have taken in many cats. Seems like ferrel cats know me as their katze mutter . My pop always called me that. Its German for cat mother. Well thats me. My dog Gretchen, and all of my cats have had an excellent relationship with Cologne Animal Hospital. Dr. Hagan is now in charge there. He was there when my beloved Gretchen had to be put down. At thirteen she was blind, ( I was her seeing eye person), shed been on Thyroid Meds for many years, she was on meds for incontinence too. But I told Dr. Hagan, whod now taken over the practice, that as long as Gretchen could walk, Id keep her going. The day came. She was sent to animal heaven. The compassion expressed by him brought tears to his eyes. Dr. Hagan has helped me take care of all my cats over the years. Presently, I have eight cats. There couldnt be a more caring vet than Dr. Hagan. He literally knows my cats! Everyone who works at Cologne Animal Hospital treats every pet as their own. I could not be happier with any veterinary hospital. They have always been there for my precious kitties. I no longer have a dog. My life is full of cats. They keep me company. My husband passed almost five years ago. He was also a cat person. Now my cats keep me warm at night, they all come in at night and are safe and sound. The excellent care Dr. Hagan provides allows me the peace I have knowing my that all is well in my cat world. This peace of mind allows me to deal with my life as a widow. Its not easy, but it works. Cologne Veterinarian animal hospital is one of the worst Veterinarian hospital I ever been to. I took my dog there after several attempts at another Veterinarian, because I thought he had an allergic reaction to a bordetella shot. I am not a vet doctor, so I thought Dr. Hagan would run some test on my dog, to see why his face was raw, bloody and he continue to scratch at his face. I took my dog there at least 3-5 times, but he was not getting any better. This was my second Veterinarian I took my dog too for the same issue/problem and got ripped off. The first Vet took my money and Dr. Hagan and his staff took my money too. They continue to bill me for office visits, pills and injections for my dog costing me hundreds of dollars. They even charge me $74 dollars for shaving the hair off his paw and soaking it, which this service costed more than an office visit an injections and/or pills. My dog got worst and I had to rush him to another Veterinarian hospital on a Sunday that cost me over $500 dollars. Thank God for Regional Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center, who got my dog feeling and looking better. Dr. Hagan and these other type of boot leg Veterinarian hospitals should be shut down, due to lack of current animal knowledge, not being abreast of different diseases, recalls, professional development and have not followed up on the latest veterinarian information and/or technology on animals. I had to give at least 1 star to post my comment, but they really deserve no stars.

They were able to rehabilitate my 4 year old dachshund from being paralyzed from his rib cage back. He was not able to pee, wag his tail, or even move anything. Brought him to Penn first (Sunday afternoon) $1100 lighter and no diagnosis, was told see how he does tonight and if he gets worse bring him back. They also told us we could spend the $8500 to preform surgery. So with his decline overnight, we were able to get Tigger to Cologne Animal Hospital first thing Monday morning. After the consult with the Vet, we were able to get him on some acupuncture and steroids (with bed rest for three months). We are thrilled to say that after four months, he is walking again (not 100%), peeing on his own, and wagging his tall again. Without Cologne Animal Hospital and the awesome staff, I really dont think Tigger would be in the great shape he is in today. Oh by the way we only spent a fraction of the cost at Cologne Animal Hospital. They are great.

I use to go there years ago.I had paid for another neighbor s dog who had a dog bite I paid for all the procedures. They ordered extra stuff of course NO BIG DEAL.I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THE DOG WAS GOOD.The front desk girl would not give me the other dogs information on cost .What I was paying for. I had already paid about 400 dollars not knowing what this was for exactly..They said it was Hippa??She said she would loose her job.Was very upsetting to me and to the person who I was trying to help pay for her dog.And I use to go there before 2001. They had and old Vet there at the time.He was off.Joking with my husband as I put my dog down.Just a shame this whole thing happened.I use to like the front girl there before this happened. That was the only reason I went there. When you have respect for all people even not regular customers you get more business.
