Initially I was excited about the prospect of a full-service hospital. But I would never recommend this facility again. NEVER! After a routine benign tumor removal my dog quickly became worse and worse. I paid the initial bill in full. I brought my dog there in the middle of the night and had to wait 45 minutes for the vet to appear. And then was referred to one of the big specialty hospitals in Plainfield New Jersey. Where three days later my dog passed away. I spent $5000 at the specialty hospital in Plainfield New Jersey. And The initial surgery was$1200 at Advanced Vet care. I spent $6200 to lose my beloved dog. I decided to try and recover and to use this Vet hospital again. I am a dog professional and have been in dogs my whole life. I went there at the end of August for a routine procedure and paid that bill in full. As I always do. I went there again in October and was charged almost $600 to find out that my dog had Lyme disease.....well maybe Lyme disease. I was given doxycycline. Without a full diagnosis. I paid that bill in full and had decided at that point I was done. $600 to find out that maybe my dog has Lyme. Today December 16 I receive a bill for some $350 or so dollars for my Whippet back in June. And its a bill Ive never seen nor been notified of even though theyve seen me subsequently to June. And they have added late fees. Its unbelievably, Callous and Unprofessional. When asked why this bill was never presented to me ~ I was told it was somewhere in some hidden file?????? **Never never never again with this place. I have other dog professionals who like me were initially excited and have also decided never again with this place. I Will NEVER recommend this place again.

This is the rare practice in which I do not have a favorite vet: theyre all compassionate professionals with great diagnostic skills. I like the fully modernized equipment (including CAT scan) and 24/7 hours. Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, I find the charges for better quality care are the same or even less than those of other local vets. Also worth mentioning: these vets dont rush through the appointment, but routinely spend twice or more the time to fully explain the animals situation. The staff is relaxed, responsive and friendly. But most importantly, after 30 years of rescue Ive come to believe our animals are in the best possible hands at AVC. I take recommending a veterinary clinic very seriously. Animals cannot tell us what is wrong--the competence of the vet is so critical to determining the quality of life our animal family members, so dear to us, will experience. For them, we must choose their doctors with great care. Hope this helps.

Dr. Travis Cerf is an incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian. Numerous times my pets could have been put through many expensive tests but Dr Cerf isnt about running up high bills. He is always spot on with his diagnosis and treatment. I drive an hour away to have my dog (named Travis lol) seen only by Dr. Travis. I tried to go elsewhere once closer to home but that group was 100% incorrect and had actually prescribed medications and protocol which was very harmful to my dog, not helpful. I recommend Dr. Cerf 1000%..!!

We were in the area for the holidays and needed an emergency vet for our cat. I couldnt say enough good things about this practice and doctor Ramieri. Great staff and the doctor spent time with us and answered all of our questions. We brought up a very expensive procedure which he could have talked us in to, especially being out of the area, but he said it wasnt necessary and gave us a good treatment regimen. They faxed our paperwork to our local vet without us even asking. All around great experience.

Would give NO STARS But it will not let me. Was told one price for dogs surgeries. WHEN done demanded over $900.00 more after telling me if I dont pay in full they were going to keep my dogs and put them down or sell after 3 days if I didnt pay in full + the 3 days for kennel fees if the bill was not paid. Took over 4 hours with the police to get the dogs home.WARRING WHEN YOU SIGH THE CONSENT FOR SURGERY YOU SIGH OVER OWNERSHIP OF YOUR ANIMALS BE .... AWARE VERY AWARE !!!!

If I could put no stars I would my dog was very sick for days and I brought him in spent almost 500 for 3 services then bringing him Home to get even more sick that my heart ached from the pain I called back to get some help told me to put him down. Not wanting to give up when to another vet they got him all better and cared for him with so much compassion never again will I ever go there please dont waste your time

Truly the best. Knowledgeable doctors who knew exactly what was wrong with my pup, the first time. After explaining to me, in terms I could understand, I was able to treat my girl corrrectly! Finally! Super clean...and I have to say, they are super reasonable. The exam fees and surgery fee for my fur babies were literally 1/2 of what other vets charge. The staff is so friendly too!! Bonus! I cant say enough!!!!

I just received my dogs paw print... I was expecting something on paper, they went way above that! Its in clay amd sealed in a keepsake box!!! I love it!!! It was so sweet of them! They are terrific! I will never get another dog ...BOBO WAS THE ONE AND ONLY! But for everyone else trust them they are compassionate caring and that says it all!!!

Not just for emergency care...I was highly recommended here for my dogs well visit and I am so pleased with the care. I have been searching for a place that I like - most places try to up sell you on everything. Honest vet and caring staff. The team was thorough and and prompt. A five star visit for my dog!

We have a lot of animals! We have brought all 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 guinea pigs and a hamster to this hospital. We have always been treated well and all of our issues have been resolved from simply exams to surgeries. I trust Dr Mike and know he cares for all of our pets. They love him!

Emergency surgery needed for second time and this vet refuses to do it because I can not pay in full the day its done. People in office nasty on phone and didnt seem to care about anything but the money. Unbelievable
