READ READ READ.... JENNIFER D SMITH IS A MURDERING SCAMMER.. We are heartbroken, sickened and outraged to announce that our dog, Red A1056246, an average rated beautiful girl, whom we rescued from ACC on 11/9 was put to sleep by her foster, Jennifer Smith of Collegeville, PA on 11/16. In less than one week, she decided to end Reds life without SCRs knowledge or permission. On 11/16 we received a frantic call from a rescue friend via a vet employee in PA. Jeniffer brought Red into their practice and wanted her euthanized. The vet refused, so Jeniffer left with the Red. We immediately called and texted Her. We left messages and sent texts begging her not to do this and told her we would come and pick Red up. We then called Upper Providence Township Police. An officer was immediately dispatched, but it was too late. According to the officer Jeniffer had already taken Red to Limerick Veterinary Hospital in Royersford, PA and had her euthanized. We have texts from Jeniffer from Nov. 11, 12 & 13 with no mention of any issue or problem. She sent a cute pic of Red, and told us, "she is a gem." Three days later, she had her killed. Sadly we have grown accustomed to saving dogs from miserable owners. Now we must also worry that vets will euthanize healthy dogs at the whim of a foster, without permission of the dogs owner (SCR). All of Reds paperwork is in the name of Manhattan ACC and SCR, and her microchip was in our name. How could the vet have euthanized a dog if the "owner" could not provide proof of ownership? Jeniffer could not possibly have had any legitimate paperwork indicating that Red was her dog. After numerous conversations with Shawn, the Practice Manager at Limerick Vet, she insists that she can not provide any details to us because we can not prove she was our dog. We have sent her all of the shelter paperwork. When asked if the vet bothered to check the dogs microchip, she said that doesnt prove a thing. They will give us no information other than the fact that the dog is gone. We have retained an attorney to file a complaint with the veterinary licensing board in PA. We will pursue this in any way we can. We will fight for Red. We will try to stop this vet office from ever killing healthy dogs again, Especially healthy dogs that do not belong to the person who is requesting the euthanasia! We will try our best to see to it that Jeniffer Smith never kills another innocent dog. Below is a go fund me post by Jennifer Smith about Red. She was attempting to raise money for vet bills which is odd considering SCR pays for vet bills. Her post even says, "Even if we cannot be her forever home I am 1000% committed to seeing her find such." Cleary she was a foster, and had absolutely no right to have this girl euthanized. The post appears to be from 11/11, and on 11/16 Red was dead. Was this a scam? Please share far and wide. Lets honor Reds memory. She mattered, and she deserved better. We will update you as this progresses. With love & sorrow, Second Chance Rescue NYC

Our two German Shepherds Yuma and Gunny regularly visit Limerick Vet Hospital which is great. When we recently went away on an international trip to Russia for 3 weeks, Happy Tails Lodging was our only choice to take care of our beloved family members, especially due to the reason that both our dogs are rescues with severe separation anxiety, and one has a terminal heart issue and is on 5 different heart medications twice a day. The employees are always friendly and they love animals. Our 2 Shepherds were in good hands for 3 weeks. We came to pick them up and had a wonderful family reunion, but by Murphys law our vehicle broke down right there on the parking lot of the facility. You can only imagine the anxiety and frustration that the pet parents and the two dogs experienced, while the tow truck was next to our vehicle. I went back inside to the reception desk and asked the girls if they could give a ride to me and my 2 Shepherds while my husband stayed behind with our vehicle... Not only we got a ride, the facility manager Shawn herself was very kind to give us a ride and refused to take any payment for it, not even the cost of the gas or the tip. We are so grateful for really good people showing up when not so good things happen in life. Thank you Shawn for your kindness and helping us out at a very desperate moment, and thank you Limerick Vet Hospital and Happy Tails Lodging staff for taking outstanding care of our two pups. You guys are the best, and are always our number one choice! I highly recommend this facility, people working there really love animals and take great care of them, the facility is always clean, and animals staying there are happy!

I have to admit, there are are some major pros and cons to this vet. Starting with the Pros, (1) Happy Tails Day Care is Amazing the people working the Day Care are knowledgeable and they take good care of your pet whether they are there for the day or boarding with them. (2) If you have a true "after hours" emergency, the emergency triage service they have in place is VERY good. If the vet tech/vet feels that the pet is in a state of distress they will open the center up at 12:15am in the morning to treat the pet (of course this does come at a price however, it also comes with peace of mind). The Cons, (1) this vet will nickel and dime you for pretty much every service provided or not necessarily services you want provided but they require in order to maintain your pets admission to the day care/boarding facilities. (2) the front desk staff needs help, they often seem to answer the phone as if they are being bothered by you and seem to rush through the call at times. (3) we never seemed to see the same vet therefore, it seemed like every time we went in for a check up or shots we had to run through the dogs entire history on a continuous basis. Or if we were in for an emergency the vet we were seeing that day was unfamiliar with treatment done in the past leading to extra testing and longer time to diagnose an issue. We are still a client with Limerick vet (have been for 10+ years) however, depending on the service, we also utilize a competing vet due to the major difference in prices for the same service.

Weve been using Limerick vet & Happy Tails since we moved here about 3 years ago. While its pricier than most places (why its not a full on 5 star), we pay the extra for the service we get. From calls during surgery and post op to reassure us that all was well with our dog to a well check for our tortoise, we have always felt very cared for. And Happy Tails is great! Our pooch gets excited when get there and is in great shape when we bring her home - albeit exhausted. Ive never had an issue with the staff - theyll call to clarify if instructions seem off to them. Id love to know how many one star reviewers have ever actually used them and arent reacting to one very sad mistake. Please read ALL the posts before making a judgment on these guys and determine where the reviews come from. Having used them with no issues for three years, I will bet there are many facets to the story that prompted so many negative reviews - not excusing the poor decision ultimately made. Please dont dismiss them out of hand without doing your research! PROS: Caring staff with a variety of specialties, Happy Tails, off hours calls to reassure a nervous furmommy, easy to get appointments, friendly people throughout CONS: price is really high, always seem to have something extra to sell ie vitamins, extra tests etc (but are cool with it if you dont buy it)
