Honestly I really used to love this vet office. They always treated us with respect and compassion. But our original veterinarian had left this office... Im unsure if he retired or moved to another practice. Either way, we were then assigned a different vet. And let me tell you how extremely UNHAPPY I am with him. My senior cat had a small lump on his face and was diagnosed with an abscess above his tooth. Okay, fine if thats what it really was. A month later when he was brought in for surgery to remove the tooth and drain this "abscess", we were told the surgery couldnt happen because the tooth fell out on its own. Then we were told it was a tumor. He was put on multiple medications that werent helping... and the tumor continued to spread. It caused him to lose his right eye completely... but my little boy still kept his spirits up regardless of the amount of pain he was in. It wasnt until his mouth started bleeding uncontrollably that I had enough and took him somewhere else. The tumor and cancer had grown so much that it messed up the alignment of his jaw, causing his bottom tooth to puncture the tumor which caused the uncontrollable bleeding. We had no choice but to put him down last night. It literally broke my mothers heart. Dr Rob I believe your negligence caused him to die. If you had suggested surgery instead of putting him on 4-5 different medications at once, that you knew werent helping him, he may have had a fighting chance. I was considering suing. But it wouldnt bring my baby back.

From the first day I brought my beloved Suki in to see Dr. Farruggia, I knew he was different from all the rest of the vets I had seen throughout the years. Not ONE had ever taken the time and consideration to sit with me and ask me ALL the questions necessary to truly understand and assess what was going on with my senior pet. Where most people might have chalked it up to Suki just "getting older", Dr. Farruggia displayed a compassion for my dog and a vocation in his field that gave me hope. He diagnosed her and we were able to discuss suitable treatments. She deserved that. It wasnt yet her time. He extended not only Suki s life but improved the quality of her life those final years. I could never ever thank him enough !!No one that came across my sweet Suki could believe how old she was! She was happy and bopping around and just being Suki the stubborn, remarkable Shih tzu that everyone loved once again! When the time finally did come this past summer to say good bye, Dr. Farruggia helped me do it in the most beautiful way that brought me peace and that Suki deserved. He understood that Suki was not just my pet; She was my best friend and my everything for 20 yrs ! Thank you Dr. Farruggia !! There is not a day that I do not think of my Suki and thank you , from the bottom of my heart, for the gift of time and happiness that you gave us both ! You are the best EVER !! We love you !!!

I will never bring my pets back to 4 paws, they are horrible people who obviously dont care about animals! I called for an emergency appointment at 4:40 on Saturday - my cat had injured his tail and the bone was exposed. The receptionist told me to come right over - i already had my cat in the carrier and ran right out the door after getting off the phone. I live in south Manalapan - 20 minutes away which they should have known since they have my address. Ten minutes after i left, the very rude receptionist called me asking where I was and yelled at me saying that I told her I would be there in a few minutes. I begged, cried, and asked them to wait - my cat was bleeding profusely. She yelled at me and said i lied about being there in a few minutes and to take my cat to garden state. 4 paws is opened until 5:00 on Saturday - i pulled into the parking spot in front of 4 paws at 5:02. They were all still there but shut the lights off when they saw me pull up. I had to drive another 30 minutes to tinton falls - my cat was bleeding heavy - there was blood all over the inside of the carrier. What kind of people are they to turn me away with an injured cat 2 minutes after they closed??? I brought my pets there - i am still in shock over this. My cat is ok thank God - no thanks to 4 paws. That receptionist and the vet should get fired !! Real scumbags!!! Never bring your pets to these people!!!

Absolutely Love this vet, Dr Turk is an amazing doctor. He does not beat around the bush nor does he waste your time and money. One of our dogs was sick we took her in and without running 50 test, xrays and putting our dog through the ringer. he was able to fully diagnose her spot on (she had an abdominal mass, her spleen was near rupturing and possible cancer spread to her lungs). She was terminal and we were given the choice to let her go naturally or put her down. My husband wanted to see if medication would help, hoping she would get better. Doctor told us exactly what to expect and the signs she would show when her time was near. She passed with in 2 days of her vet visit just the way he said she would. She went fast and peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. she will be highly missed. We will continue taking our pets to Dr Turk he and his staff have been wonderful to work with. They are caring and companionate, treat you with utmost respect. I would highly recommend this Vet to anyone looking for one. You could not ask for a better group of people to treat your pets!!

I have been a loyal customer of 4 Paws Animal Hospital for the last 9 years. Dr. Darren Weisenstein is the absolute best vet! My dog Cody actually LOVES going to see him! He is so caring and ng a holiday weekend, I called Dr. Darren on his cell phone in complete panic. Cody had a visible puncture wound. Dr. Weisenstein not only answered my call, but personally met me at the clinic to stitch Cody up and got him better. No one else that I know would do that! I cannot tell you how many times when my dog has gotten sick, he has gone out of his way for us. His entire staff is caring and respectful. I can always get an appointment and they notify me via mail and phone to remind me when Cody is due for shots or check ups. Ive even gotten phone calls to check on Codys progress when hes gotten ill. Everyone there is not only professional, but they genuinely care for my dogs well being. I would hands down recommend this clinic to anyone! Best vets and staff! I can call him for the slightest concern for my dog Cody.

When I started bringing my pets here two years ago, I was very happy with the visits; however, as of late, I have been very disappointed and even angry with the care my pets have received here. Be prepared to tell the staff what you think is going on, what testing you would like to be done, etc because all youre going to get from them is that whatever is going on is "inconclusive". At this point, youd think they would tell you that they recommend running some tests, but no, they instead tell you to wait it out and if the problem gets worse, you should return (and pay another office visit fee) to finally get some tests done. Ive actually had them stand there and try to convince me NOT to have a CBC done. Why? Im paying for it, and Im obviously more motivated than you to make sure everythings okay with my cherished companions, so why do you care either way? Whats the harm in looking at some blood?? God forbid something is brewing internally, they just want to "wait it out" to see how much worse things get -- great logic.
