So upset with them! I called for emergency extraction of tooth #18 and asked what the price would be. Was quoted by a woman on the phone at $370.00 plus $25.00 if xray was needed. She told me she needed to create a fake account in order to see pricing. Advised me that they were closed tomorrow (Sat) and open Sunday from 9-1 I could walk in as an emergency. I called back because I had another question spoke with another woman who claims they are not allowed to quote pricing over the phone. I said please put me on hold I just spoke to someone less then 5min ago. Came back and said Nope noone quoted you.... Off course they said that if they could get in trouble! Im so upset I could not make up these prices. Morale of the story always get the person you speak withs name heck last 4 of their SS at this point! This patient is in extreme pain and needed help! The new woman said I would need to see an oral surgeon for extraction that Dr Jacob does not extract teeth and that fee to walk in would be $95, but still would not help the situation at hand! Get it together Hazlet Family Dental this is the way you lose customers and get bad reviews. So inconsistent. Dr Jacobs needs to help his staff in being courteous to customers and more importantly accurate. So disappointed.

After being a customer for about 8 years, I have to say I am done with this office over the poor treatment of my wife by this office. She has had a cracked molar for a few months know, and had been given the run around by this office on Aetna requiring a pre-authorization before they would schedule the work. My wife followed up every few days and they said they were waiting on Aetna. My wife called Aetna and found out no one had contacted them on this. My wife escalated to the office manager, who didnt return phone calls, etc. I went to their office in person to inform them that if my wifes tooth cracked more and required more involved work because of these delays, they would be looking at a lawsuit. I am sure they felt I was being unreasonable, abusive, etc. but now she has an appointment. The dentist does good work though, but it is a shame the office staff cant deliver a better experience. Telling a customer that the ball was in insurances court when that isnt the case is lying. Not returning phone calls is unprofessional. Id say that getting work done here is like pulling teeth, if you can get an appointment.

This dental practice was like a zoo. I am a former health care administrator, and let me tell you this was THE worst office I had ever been in. I never saw so many people standing around doing nothing, while several people (some, like me in severe pain) sat and waited. The dentist never looked in my mouth. He just looked at my xrays. I had to tell him twice that the xrays he was looking at were not the ones he was referring to. He then told me "not to ask him about the money aspect" and that I needed to talk to so-and-so. Well, so-and-so came in and told me right off the bat I was looking at $9,000. Again, he never looked in my mouth. This place is terrible. HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY, but before you go, make notes of the dentists full names, so you can avoid them in the future. To "Judysbook", I have to say that your four star rating is quite shocking. Did you stay with your elderly aunt while she had her work done? Did you observe how she was treated as a patient? No sarcasm intended, I just think this place is the pits, and I wouldnt bring my dog there.

Problem is its a corporate office and the people in charge of making decisions are paid salary so all they focus on is money money money. The more money made the higher their bonuses are. Ran by greedy assholes. The office manager sits on her work computer looking at real estate or speaking to her ex husband, the financial lady could care less about her job and cares more about office gossip. Patients deserve better than this. No office should be so money hungry and gossip centered. The front desk staff is amazing, the check in and check out girls are the ones who truly care about the patients. They do whatever they can to help you. Its the bosses and corporation as a whole that sucks. It says here people spend an hour and a half here on average, its because they overbook and want all this production but then it gets out of control. Bring a book you might finish it all in one visit. Wait times are crazy. Definitely wouldnt recommend to friends or family, Id rather be treated an an office that isnt run by money hungry salary paid managers and corporation.

Dr. Jacob is phenomenal! I have had bad experiences all my life with dentists. Ive gotten "the lecture" when I come in about my teeth bc they are not good and I know it, but I also have been told I should have a case study done on me bc my teeth rot from the inside out.... not the normal way, outside in. So brushing doesnt mean anything. I brush 3xs a day and it happens anyway. SO ANYWAYS! Fast foward.... I come into see Dr. Jacob to get my bottom 4 teeth I have left extracted and then put a denture in. So he comes in, so sweet... NEVER shames me about my teeth (or lack thereof at this point, lol) and just makes a plan for the next few weeks to make my denture and make it look natural and make me comfortable too and leave my few teeth I have in til the last appointment so I dont have to be without teeth in the front. He goes above and BEYOND!! I HIGHLY recommend him!!! And his wonderful staff too!!! This place has given my life, my smile, (soon enough) and my happiness back. THANK YOU DR. JACOB AND HAZLET FAMILY DENTAL!

At our last appointment, my husband asked if he were near the cap for our insurance. The receptionist told him "At most youll pay $100". This was the last week of December, for a cap. If hed been told "we dont know, you need to call your insurance", he would have waited the ONE WEEK to make sure the procedure was covered. We ended up with a bill for over $600! When we questioned this, the account person was extremely rude and just kept telling me there was nothing she could do. Finally talked to the office manager, who brought the bill down to $460, even though my insurance assures me that at most I should owe $413 - but she also basically called me a liar when I told her what the receptionist said and hung up on me. I will never return to a place where the staff has such a lack of ethics and where they are so clearly only out to get your cash, not your repeat business. I wish I had looked at these reviews before entering their doors.

***DONT EVEN THINK OF GOING THERE.*** They are the most insensitive Dentists I have ever been to. All they are interested in is making money. I went to get a tooth pulled and the sent one dentist after another trying to force me to get a Root canal($2200) then they said I need a crown then they said they had to graft the bone. long story short when I told them I couldnt afford any of these treatments and simply requested to have my tooth pulled thats when I became a second class citizen. You could see the hatred on their face each time I refused all their costly options. So now I have the oral surgeon Dr, Kur that actually tortured me while extracting my tooth. Have you ever heard of needing over 30 injections of anesthetic as not to feel excruciating pain. I walked out of there trembling. my legs were actually shaking from this horrible experience. They should not be allowed to practice.
