PLEASE please, please do NOT go to attentive dental care 95 madison avenue ste 401, in morristown,nj. ESPECIALLY NOT THE hygienist !! I wish i had seen a review like this one BEFORE i went to this dentist office. I truly trusted him.......i had a normal cleaning as i do every 6 months, and after this cleaning performed by "Richard" i could NOT eat or drink anything cold or hot the left side of my mouth !! OMG the pain is horrible i now experience a great deal of discomfort. i called them and told them the problem i was having due to the hygienist. i finally spoke with richard the hygienist and he said i would need a desensitizer , richard said he would call me back to make an appointment and he NEVER did? WHO DOES THIS. i was so nice to him and thanked him after a "simple" cleaning and little did i know that when i had dinner later that same day, I would be in pain!! that was october 21st, 2016, i have been in pain since. I called them several times, and they hung up on me & ignored my call, then get this , READY FOR THIS THEY BLOCKED MY PHONE NUMBER. who does that.. i hope that people start reading reviews like this one, because these are "Real" people...that had real/& true bad experiences, real people like myself, do take the time out to put a review so that it does NOT happen to you... i am very easy going, and i trusted this male hygienist.. i was warned never to use a male hygienist and i unfortunately did. i wish i never did!!!!! i will report them to the board of dentistry as well.. I know that they will ask me did you give them the opportunity to fix the problem, and i will tell them YES i did.. they ignored me. i hope Richard gets what he deserves for the rest of his life. this is your karma Richard, the "so called hygienist" sincerely, a nice person that trusted this dentist office. ps... i had to put 1 star in order to post this reciew. they do not deserve 1 star at all... thank you

AWFUL!!! Horrendous office staff and have no idea what they are doing!!! I called to ask about a certain insurance plan that they did not know that they do accept. Catherine took more than 3 days to confim the insurance. I make the appointment. I get a call 4 days ahead of time to ask me to come in earlier in the day of the appointment which I cant do because I work. Jimena tells me to keep the appointment that I have and they will see me then. Great. Then I get a call the day before, again by Jimena (the office manager apparently...), telling me that all of a sudden they do not take my insurance anymore (between Thursday and Monday). That the woman that took my appointment who I spoke with many times, was new and she made a mistake. I asked how is that possible when I made it over 2 weeks prior and they called to confim?? It was crap. They got nasty and I asked to speak with the dentist or the OM and Jimena tells me that she is the OM and that they do not take my group number and no new patients under my plan anymore. Over the weekend???!!! BS! They just didnt want to take a 5:30pm appointment! And when I couldnt come in sooner they didnt like it. BTW, my insurance company does not know anything about them dropping or requesting to not take any new paitents at all. Althought, that is their perogative, they would need to contact the insurance company to tell them that they are no longer working with then and that still has not happened. They are liars. They are the most unprodessional, nasty, unacommodating dental office I have ever experienced. Its a shame that the Doctor allows that to go on under his clock. But maybe he is okay with that who knows...I will be sure to make sure everyone knows about this because its not okay for things like this to happen.

I wouldve given a 5 star review for Attentive Dental, however the woman at the front desk who refers to herself as "Office Manager" - theres another woman that sits at the front as well, but shes kind and professional. The "Office Manager" is as nasty and unfriendly as they come. No people skills whatsoever. She should be kept in the back, unseen and unheard. The dentist however is very nice, friendly, professional and thorough. I would recommend this office but unfortunately you have to see and speak with the monster at the desk. My experience with the rude woman at the front will keep me from returning. She spoke horribly and rudely to myself and my young children that were with me. I have 3 small children that were sitting quietly in the tiny waiting room for a cleaning. First she popped up and spoke directly to them asking them to remove their foot from the waiting room chair. They did. Then she popped up and yelled at them to not rock the chair. They did. The third time she popped up I asked her to please speak to me and not my children. She didnt understand this. Im guessing she doesnt have children or has never seen one. My 5 year old went to get me a stirrer for my coffee and her exact words to him once again were "dont touch that and sit down. How many times do i have to tell you?!" You would think my kids were climbing the walls the way she was acting. Then while I was making my next appointment for my son she said "youre not allowed to bring your other children to your next visit because I cant babysit them" . Its a shame that such a good dentist has a disgraceful slob greeting his patients. If I could give zero stars, I would, but unfortunately Im forced to leave one star which is completely based on the thing that sits at the front desk.

Im not one to take time and sit down to write a review on my experiences, but I feel the need to shout from a rooftop how amazing my visit this morning was at Dr. Matthews office "Attentive Dental Care." Somehow I had badly chipped my tooth last evening, and knew I needed to make it to a Dentist ASAP! Not having lived in Morristown for long, I havent made a point until now to find my "go-to" dentist. I was extremely impressed within seconds walking into the office. The atmosphere/design of Attentive Dental Care has the vibe of a New York Soho Glam/Modern Loft. The vast attention to detail is so remarkably portrayed through Dr.Matthews office, staff, and (of course) his talented work. The kind and welcoming staff greeted me promptly as I entered, and were extremely accommodating. By the end of my visit I felt as if I have been going to him for years! Dr. Matthews is extremely thorough, warm, friendly, and blows every other dentist out of the water I had ever been to in my entire life!!! I now loyally have my "go-to" dentist, and could not be more pleased!

Dr. Matthews at Attentive may be the best dentist Ive ever been to, and Ive had some very good dentists (and a few clunkers). Aside from cleanings, hes redone a couple of fillings and put a crown in and I didnt feel a thing. Like seriously, the first time he numbed me with a needle I didnt even know it happened until after he was done and I asked--I thought he was just checking my teeth. The second time was yesterday and the only reason I knew it was happening was because of the first time--I still didnt feel it. The office is bright and upbeat and the staff really seems to love being there--I dont blame them. This is definitely the kind of dental office that could easily get so booked up they cant take anymore patients and I could see that happening as word spreads. So if youre looking for a new dentist, or even if you arent, run over there as fast as you can and check them out.
