A year and half ago this place was phenminal. I have many dogs and work with them. I have lived in multiple areas of nj and have been to vets from elizabeth, Millburn, summit, new prov, Berkeley heights, Clinton, Asbury. I have even worked for a vet office. And these guys I thought were the bees knees. Over the past year they have gone down hill. I got my foster dog back from boarding with them. The dog had been there numerous of times prior to this visit. When he came home he was defecting himself & hiding. When I brought him back in to them they couldnt find anything wrong but a dog doesnt just return from a boarding placing peeing and pooping himself and hiding because of nothing. They misread my personal dogs shot records and told me he didnt need a rabies shot so he went almost a year with out it. Even though at 2 vet visits I had said I think my dog is due for his rabies shot. They kept saying no no. When I was going to board him at another facility they faxed over his records and guess what? My dog was 11 months over due. Every time we go for an appointment we wait at minimum 40mins at least. But no big deal because I understand this happens at other places. Tonight they made my partner and his father wait an hour and 40 mins to put down 2 of their dogs. 1 dog who was 16yrs old dying on a bench outside with liver failure and another in poor mental health in the waiting room. We made an appt earlier in the day explaining the situation and that 1 of the dogs was dying. They said come at 430 no problem. Well I guess it was a problem for them because no one saw them until 6:05. Even though I called to speak to the manger Jessie at 5. She said oh Im so sorry Ill make sure someone sees them right away. Obviously she was just yesing me Bc they continued to wait for another hour. When I called to speak to the owner I was told he couldnt call me back until Friday and the receptionist at the check out desk had no idea what was happening. I will never be returning to this office again. Im not sure what happened in the last year and half to cause them to go from an A+ facility to an F with no compassion for owners or their furry family members. I never ever write reviews ever. This is my first but I want to spare anyone else this horrible ordeal we had to go through. Stay away. And if you have to put your dog down do not go to this vetinary office.

What Wonderful Animal Care! Weve been going to Warren Animal Hospital for years. We wouldnt take our cats anywhere else unless it was an emergency and they were closed or if one of them required a specialist such as a neurologist (we highly recommend Garden State Veterinary Specialists as well, who Dr. Zaccheo personally referred us to). The staff is very competent and compassionate. If you can get an appointment with Dr. Zaccheo himself, hes one of the best vets in the state, if not the country (in our opinion). Brilliant and heart-centered towards pets and their owners. Hell go out of his way to help you and your animal. Recently, weve called him up multiple times asking questions about our sick cat, feeling a bit badly for calling him so much, yet hes always so eager to help, and goes out of his way to show you that he actually wants to be helpful, and that its never an inconvenience or an annoyance. He never rushes us off the phone or out of his office, giving us plenty of time to get all our questions asked. Dr. Zaccheo is a rare human being. One of the brightest, sharpest, most kind individuals weve met. We feel very blessed to have him and his wonderful staff available to care for our little ones. We trust him implicitly. I cannot imagine finding a better vet. Hes truly world-class. If youre looking for the best of the best care for your little ones (or big ones if you have horses), do request him personally -- though whoever you get is bound to be great. His daughter Nicole has been amazing, too. True hearts of gold there!

Have been going to Warren Animal hospital for over 13 years and have always been impressed with the quality of care given to my dogs, and the doctors abilities in communicating diagnosis and treatment. In October Dr. Vincent Zaccheo recommended that Jake, my 12 1/2 year old choc lab go on the Hills Prescription Diet (Metabolic). Before his suggestion I had gotten him to lose about 8 lbs. but it took over 2 years. In seven months on the Hills Metabolic he has lost over 20 lbs!!! Not only does he look thinner, but he appears and acts younger. He hasnt been able to go out our back door in well over a year because he would fall down trying to get back in. Last week he snuck out the back door, and came up those steps on his own. Im not saying that hes going to be using those steps, because he is 13 years old and has arthritis, but he would not have done that 7 months ago--he would have cried until we came to his rescue!!! I was somewhat skeptical because of his age and of course how different could the food be? But Dr. Zaccheos enthusiasm about it, and his experience with other dogs success made me feel there was a chance for my "Old Guy". It is a great product. And just like with people-- the weight loss is making him healthier and therefore happier!!!!

There is not a better Animal Hospital anywhere. I first started going to Warren Animal Hospital in 1988 with my first kitty, Ivan. We added Ceasar, Zorrow, (doggies) Raisen (another kitty) and now Remington (another Lab). I trust Dr. Zacchio more than anyone. With Ceasar, I was concerned about his hips and had heard how much work Dr. Zacchio did with the State Police dogs, so instead of going to a specialist, I took him here. I never looked back. Years later, Dr. Zacchio removed a huge tumor and after the operation, when he spoke about it, you could hear how much it meant to him, and his staff that it turned out in a positive manner. It was so comforting to know that he approached this operation like it was his own pet. When it was time for Ceaser, we turned to Dr. Zacchio, and for Zorrow, he came to our home. His compassion and love for animals has always been enormously apparent not to even mention his expertise. I highly recommend Warren Animal Hospital. It is worth the ride, and I am sure you will never look back either. The staff all the way around are fantastic.

I cannot say enough nice things about Warren Animal Hospital, and their staff, they saved my cat and her kittens. My stray was pregnant and had given birth to 1 kitten in the early hours of Friday, 2 more were born in the early afternoon of Friday (they did not make it), she had 1 more still in her, I called around to a number of vets and emergency clinics and was told that it would cost upwards of 4500 to have a c-section to remove the last kitten. I called Warren Animal hospital at 4:50 pm in a state of panic, the staff was so kind and patient with me, got me on the phone with Dr. Zaccheo who told me to bring her in right away and they would take care of everything. I brought her in, he performed a spay, removed the kitten and I now have a happy, healthy mother cat and 2 adorable kittens. I would recommend them to everyone, I will definitely be bringing my other pets here for care. They are the BEST!
