Dr. Niziol has been our family physician since 2012 and my wife Linda, my son Chris and I have but very positive assessments of his professional competence and cordial personality. Dr. Niziol has always patiently listened and persistently sought appropriate therapy for our ailments. He has consistently treated us with great respect. This is a physician who doesn’t hesitate to seek the most current and relevant information on the internet when and if necessary. This was the case 2 years ago when I brought an unusual parasite infection from a trip abroad. Routine blood tests proved inconclusive. However, Dr. Niziol never gave up on me; he persisted until the infectious disease specialist (Dr. Avril George) he recommended at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse finally made the right diagnosis. Moreover, Dr. Niziol’s staff—including the 2 Julies, Kevin, Lori, and all the others—is prompt, helpful and courteous. They are especially good at follow-ups for specialist recommendations, forwarding pharmacy prescriptions, or reminding us about doctor appointments and periodic check-ups. The physical environment of Dr. Niziol’s practice is adequately welcoming, clean and free of commotion and confusion. Dr. Niziol and his practice add considerable value to our greater Cortland-Dryden-Ithaca community. I confidently recommend Dr. Niziol to anyone searching for a competent and reliable family physician.

I look forward to my office visits very much. It seems odd to actually say these words, especially about a medicine practice, but when I arrive I am greeted by the Julies and made to feel right at home. Lori and Kevin provide nursing care with an extremely personable manner and the utmost of care for me as an individual. Ross always greets me and asks how I am doing, even if I am not there to be seen by him that visit. I have been going to Family Practice Associates for well over two decades and will continue going there as long as I am around. Mike Niziol and his staff are the model for patient treatment and medical care. They are timely, accurate, well informed and excellent communicators. I have never left the office wondering if I should get a second opinion. I have always received top shelf treatment for myself and my family. I highly recommend Mike, Teri and the staff to anyone looking for a genuine doctor in a proper setting.

I am happy to describe my experiences with this medical office. The office staff are friendly, courteous, professional, and helpful. Dr. Niziol is an outstanding family physician. I have seen him for many years and have consistently been impressed by his friendly professionalism. He has always shown a genuine interest in my well being, is respectful, listens to my symptoms and situations, and treats our relationship as a collaboration, working with me on my medical plan. On occasion he looks up information from the web to refresh his knowledge or seek new information, while unhesitatingly referring me to specialists when necessary. I admire that as I have sometimes felt uneasy when other physicians have not been willing to do that. He is friendly, personable, conscientious, and principled. I am very happy that I discovered him many years ago.
