Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/QC) is probably new terminology to this office. Maybe Dr. Troys a decent physician, but our family will not find out. As a Hispanic-American Veteran and former Medical Service Corps Officer, I would not recommend this organization as Preferred Provider Network (PPN) for Tri-Care, or as an organization known for quality service. Definitely, as one of the employees said, "Well, this isn t the military." This means that it lacks courtesy and professionalism in making sure a standard is followed. Similar to a comment I just read, my experience with the office staff was terribe. Summarizing it one word: "rude." I am unsatisfied with the staff for several reasons: (1) they didnt answer the phones from 1140-1350 hours (11:40 am-1:50 pm) when I call to confirm an appointment (2) the trunk line for the phone system is long and uninformative and (3) when I mentioned how no one was available to answer the phones so I left several messages to find out if our appointment was at 2 or 3 pm, she said, "Yeh, we shut down during lunchtime." When someone finally called me back, it was 1:50pm they explained how they tried to call the day before but they couldnt reach either of the two telephone numbers. When I inquired about the numbers they called, both were off by a few numbers (which implies whoever wrote the numbers down in the office, they did not really listen). Then, before I could elaborate (as a suggestion) how in the military, someone was usually answering phones during lunchtime, the staff member piped: "Well, this isnt the military!" So we cancelled our appointments and removed them as a viable primary care provider. As far as other comments go, I find the July 14, 2009 posting this place as 5 stars extremely hard to believe, and would rate this organization as 1 star (probably a reason why it is a small office, very quiet, and no wait--the staff may not be working). If there is a real office manager, I doubt that she is using Six Sigma for any type of process improvement (PI) or they would consider a more personal phone system and update the website with some online features such as: patient testimonials, some sort of Health Information Technology (HIT), or the use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) System. Unfortunately, I did not research their website before we made the appointment, or I would have noticed the office managers desire to be with her family (in addition to her more than 20 years of work experience). After reading about the office manager, maybe she should retire and spend her time at the beach because it is obvious that the office is not interested in PI, much less QA/QC.

I went for an appointment for a annual physical. I was a few minutes late for the appointment, and felt very rushed by Dr. Troy. She stated part of the physical did not need to be done, because the medical board now recommended only every three years. After I stated I wanted the check done, she was very annoyed and then berated me for being late. Meanwhile the week before my daughter had to wait 45 minutes to be seen by her because she was running behind. Dr Troy then told me to get undressed and left the room. After undressing and putting a gown on, the nurse came in and told me I needed to go to the hallway bathroom to give a urine sample. When I told the nurse I had already given a urine sample at a appt the week before she then left the room. Dr. Troy came back in and told me I had to give a urine sample, because women who are still menstruating must give a urine sample. Had she spent some time prior to coming in the room to review my patient chart, she would have been reminded that I have not had a menstrual cycle for six years. When I informed her, she again was very annoyed that she actually had to do some work. Well things got worse from there. I had never been really happy with her service and never felt confident that she was truly an up-to-date doctor, so Ended my relationship with her practice. I have since been seeing a new doctor who I am very happy with. There are many very good professional doctors in this area, do not settle for Dr. Troy!

Its a small office and very quite. No waiting, not full lobby, no stress. Dr. Troy is a delight and very personable. The whole staff if polite, friendly and competent. On my first visit I didnt have a clip board full of paperwork to fill out like other offices. The doctor spent the time to ask me everything personally, getting to know me. She is knowledgeable and gets it done fast! 5 stars of excellent customer service!

Dr. Troy is very through, and is very patient. My family saw her the whole time we lived in NC. She was highly recommended to me by my Nephrologist. I have never had another physician like her, she gets to know you she does not rush. Dr.Troy should be the standard of excellence for other physicians to follow.
