We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Maples and his staff at South End Vet. We started taking our two cats to Dr. Maples several years ago when he was at Sharon Road Animal Hospital and followed him here when he took over this practice (a year or so ago). You can tell he loves what he does and is most knowledgeable. He took care of our cats through ailments like UTIs, kidney stones, kidney failure, ear mites, fleas, heart issues and cancer with patience and clear know-how. He showed genuine care for our cats at all times, bending over backwards to help us and our cats several times. I could go on and on about the great personal care Dr. Maples and his staff provides. We recently lost our last cat and theres no doubt when were ready for another pet or two, well be returning to Dr. Maples. We cant imagine finding another vet so dedicated to superior care.

My dog Rufus became a patient of Dr. Maples in February of this year. Before that we had been at Banfield due to our travel schedule and wanting a nation wide network. Now that we dont travel as much it is great to have a vet that you see every time and not a rotation of who is available. The front desk folks are really nice and prompt with any requests that they get. They have convenient hours and a great location. Dr. Maples was really through with his examination and was great with Rufus. He also gave some great tips about trying to keep his teeth clean. Recommend for any first time dog parent or long time pet owner.

We love South End Vet! Hands down the best vet weve ever brought our pups to. Dr. Maples is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and thorough. Hell tell you his honest opinion from one pet owner to another, not just a vet to client. You can tell he cares. On top of that, the ladies at the front desk are awesome. Always sweet, friendly, and very prompt. Weve never even had to wait in the lobby, as they always get us right into a room. Thanks you, Dr. Maples & team!

I have been taking Jax (my black lab 9 month only puppy) here for about 4 months now. I absolutely love the service and how close the office is to my home/work. They are always available to answer any questions I may have. The doctor is amazing and i find it very convenient that they try to see you for an emergency appointment the same day you call.

I love going to SE Vet Clinic. I have been to a few other places in CLT and some of them have made me feel like a terrible pet owner when I leave - but not here. Dr. Hawkes and her staff are extremely friendly and have done a great job on everything from simple vaccinations to ACL surgery. I give them my highest recommendation!

I take my Westie here. I have been going since Dr. Maples took over & love how they treat my dog. I was able to get be seen first thing in the morning when I noticed my dog had a UTI. I also like how they email you lab results as soon as they get them, mail out reminders, and provide all your pets information on their website.

Love this vet! They take great care of our dog Kylie and always are able to help us with any issues or questions we may have! They are really fast to help us with sending her info to dog day care and things when we forgot our paperwork. I am glad we found them :)

I have been going here for many years. Dr Hawkes is the best. She brought my persian out of renal failure. Saved from English Bulldog from possible blindness. She is now @ SouthPark Animal Hospital! She has been so great that I will follow her to her new office!

Ive only had a few appointments, but they are always pleasant. The staff members are all really friendly and the doctor is very amicable and knowledgeable. I am never left waiting, and my pet is handled very gently. She doesnt mind going at all

Vet and staff were both very friendly, but services and products are very overpriced. Exam is $45 in addition to lab charges. Medications were twice as expensive as online.
