We will not return here. We have lived here for many years and have used this facility for over 12 years. I have 2 new puppies that have been going there for the last 5 months for nail trim. We have been getting them for free and were told we could do this while they were puppies. My husband called on Thursday and made an appointment for both. When I arrived today I was told they have never heard of them giving free nail trim. I advised we had been coming for the last 5 months usually on Thursdays evenings. They said they did not have any record of our beagle and that I was mistaken . Basically they said I was lying. The front desk person stated she had been there 13 years and they have never done that. I guess I was dreaming that we had gone on Thursday for the past 5 months and never paid. She made sure everyone in the waiting room heard her telling me this. I wanted to talk to someone over her and the vet was going to talk with me privately but the lady called him over to the desk and repeated very loudly the same as she did to me. She had no right talking to me like that nor did she have the right to tell me I was lying. I have recommended many of my friends and even strangers to go here but now will only tell them to never go there. Your staff that treated me like that should not have a job. But believe me my husband has lived here for 60 years and I 43 years. We know alot of people in the area and we will be telling everyone not to go to this vet. You and the front desk staff that she stated she has been there 13 years should be ashamed of yourselfs. I know that you will not care that I posted this about your facility but you should not treat your patients owners like I was treated.today.

When we first arrived in Bluffton in 2011 we began going to another vet. Their hours were limited and since the dog we had was healthy, we worked around it. Our rescue found us in 2013 and he was not as healthy. It was a challenge to continue working with the current vet but we made it work. Problem was they never got to the root of our rescues issues. In May I decided I had enough and looked at reviews for a new vet and landed at the Bluffton Vet Hospital. So first I made an appointment for my rescue via email which I was not able to do at the last vet. I was also able to get in a day after I sent the email after my work hours, which was great and again not an option at my previous vet. So we had the appointment and the doctor threw at me more information about my rescue that I had heard in the previous 3 years. This was the place...not only were the hours convenient, but the care was beyond my expectations. Sadly my rescue passed about a month after changing to this vet due complications of his disease. I only wish we had been going here all along, maybe things would have been different. I highly recommend this practice for the care of your pets. The compassion shown after our boy passed was something I will remember forever. Excellent care and compassion.

I liked nothing about it here. The front desk questioned me for wanting to go in back with my puppy for his shots and seemed reluctant to do so. The tech was not very knowledgeable about either the medications they were offering, or the ones I said he was currently on. She offered me a free trial dose of flea and tick medication, only to return and say the "free" dose was going to be $26. I just needed a place to have a rabies vaccine update done while I was in the area for the summer. These have always been given in the folds of the neck skin, instead she took several stabs at his back thigh, causing a large lump where the vaccine was injected which is still visible a couple days later. I would not return.

I have been taking my dog, Tilly, to Bluffton Veterinary Hospital since I adopted her in January 2012. Every time I bring her in, she is greeted with a personal, warm reception by everyone in the front office. She is an extremely nervous dog around anyone unfamilar, and the staff is great at decreasing her anxiety. When Tilly had a bad case of fleas over the summer and topical medicines were not effective, Dr. Davison recommended Trifexis and it solved the issue. Whenever I leave town, I feel very comfortable boarding Tilly at BVH because I know she will be in good hands. It is reassuring to have a vet clinic in the Bluffton community that I can trust!

After moving to this area 4 years ago, I finally found Bluffton Veterinary Hospital!! I am so happy with the staff and the quality care my cocker spaniels receive there. Everyone is friendly, accomodating, professional and most importantly, they show a real concern for the welfare of my two furry friends! They were the 3rd office I tried and the 3rd time was a charm!! I highly recommend Bluffton Veterinary Hospital. My dogs see and love Dr. Nance, but have also seen Dr. Scarbrough and we were happy with all involved. Trista is on staff and cannot be more helpful with my insurance paperwork and questions. Thank you to everyone there!!

I established my pets at a Hilton Head veterinary hospital in the event that one would require care. During a recent visit, Kai, my cat, became extremely ill. The hospital I was counting on was too busy to help him. Luckily, I called Bluffton Veterinary Hospital and Kai could be seen that day. I didn’t know the veterinarian and I didn’t know the hospital, and yet we were treated as if we’d been clients forever. Kai was gently relieved of his misery. Dr. Travis White was so kind in helping me to say good-by to my buddy of 12 1/2 years. I am forever grateful to Dr. White and the staff at Bluffton Veterinary Hospital.

Each time I take one of my dogs or cats to Bluffton Veterinary Hospital, the experience is wonderful! Whether a well-pet check up, a more serious visit for an illness or simply to pick up a medication, the doctors and staff are kind and willing to help. The facility is very clean and theres never a wait. In addition, the vet techs are always prepared with a list of the costs for each service, so you have a good idea of the total bill before the visit begins, and being advised when a vet tech can handle the visit versus a need to see the doctor is an extra service I havent found at other local facilities.

Recently, we lost our beloved Cocker Spaniel, Callibogue Cay. He had become quite ill; unable to eat or drink water. We reluctedly decided it was time to let him go. On his last day we brought him into Bluffton Vet hospital to his vet; Dr. Travis Davidson. Dr, Davidson and his fine staff had placed a beautiful quilt on the exam table. Then we were given time to kiss Callie and say our last goodbye. It was handled with beauty and kindness. Bluffton Vet Hospital had always treated Callie and us with much appreciated consideration and we thank them for that.
