Weve moved a lot over the years and have been to many different vets. This is the best one that we have ever taken our pups to. We never get the feeling that they are trying to "nickel and dime" us and we truly believe that all the staff care deeply for the health and well being of our pups! They explain all the options, and always let us know if there is a better (or cheaper!) way to do things. I always walk out of their confident that our pups were in the best of hands. One particular day my older dog (Mya) kept throwing up so I called Sharon Lakes. Once I explained what was going on they put me directly on the phone with one of the vets; after hearing the symptoms (and learning that our pups ate/drank from raised water dishes-I had no idea those were so dangerous!) the vet suspected bloat and advised that I immediately seek care at an emergency animal hospital, as they would be better equipped to handle such a life-threatening condition. The vet didnt just wish me the best of luck and hang up; she called over to the emergency hospital to advise them of the potential emergency so that when we arrived, someone was waiting at the door to immediately take Mya back to be evaluated. The vet even called us the next day to see how our she was doing. Although we plan to stay put and not move for a while, even if we do end up moving, I think we will make the drive to take our pups to Sharon Lakes regardless. On a side note, we got rid of those raised water/food bowls and I suggest you do too if you have them! I did some research and they are super dangerous.

My longtime vet Dr. Buckley, Buckley Animal Hospital off Pineville-Matthews Road, had some issues with renewing his lease in the shopping center where his business was located and he made the tough decision to close. Needless to say I was devastated. Dr. Buckley had forwarded my childrens records to Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital. The staff at Sharon Lakes were very understanding of the situation with Dr. Buckleys patients and offered me a coupon for my first visit. Despite the obvious price difference between Dr. Buckley - we stayed with Sharon Lakes Animal Hospitals up until my fur children and I recently moved out of state (Fall of 2014). During the time I used their services the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I always felt heard and that my children were getting excellent care.

As a senior citizen on a fixed income, words cannot express my appreciation for the kindness and care my dog and I received from the Doctor and the entire staff. When it was time for my little dog to be put down their kindness and sensitivity made an unbearable moment manageable. I can only continue to say thank you for all you have done for Buddy and I.
