I’ve been a client of this practice for ~20 years and am constantly amazed at the thorough and detailed attention I continue to receive here. The staff is friendly; the doctors are second to none. I had been ignoring a tiny discoloration on my ear that my primary care doc said I needed to have looked at by a specialist like RIGHT NOW. It turned out to be melanoma, the kind of skin cancer you die from if untreated for too long. A brief episode of double vision that I thought little of was taken very seriously and turned out to be a symptom of a life-threatening cardiovascular problem that required surgery to correct. Even the slightest abnormality in your bloodwork during a normal physical gets chased until it’s understood. They share everything with you and explain clearly and frankly in layman’s terms what’s going on. I did read the review from a dissatisfied former client and I suppose different experiences are possible, or that different people are sensitive to different things. A pharmacy I’ve patronized for years still has me in their system as “Ms.” (I’m a guy) and has my first name spelled incorrectly. But they dispense the meds as expected so I don’t spend time fretting over anything else. Similarly, I’ve been at this practice during a crazy busy day and had to leave before I could be seen. Well duh, life happens. I made a make-up appointment and wasn’t charged a second co-pay when I returned for it. That sounds like perfectly reasonable customer service to me. I could go on, but please know that this is anything BUT a doc-in-the-box environment handing out pills, pay the cashier on your way out, thank you come again practice. In my experience (a client of multiple practices in five states over a thirty+ year career) you simply cannot do better, and you most likely can’t come close.

My family has been fortunate to have had Dr. Torrey as our family physician since he and Dr. Jacokes opened their practice. Dr. Torrey saw both of my parents through numerous serious illnesses in their senior years and continues to provide care for my wife and myself. He has always treated us with kindness, respect, empathy and with great skill; he truly does care about our well-being. On some occasions, you may have to wait a little longer than you might want, but it’s not because they have overbooked - it’s because he is spending a little more time with someone who needs it. You’ll be glad when he spends a little extra time with you when you really need it. They have an excellent web portal for established patients which allows you to see all of your test results, recaps of your visits, book appointments and most importantly communicate with your doctor or PA via email, which is always answered promptly. I highly recommend this practice.

Absolutely terrible doctors office. I go because of its location. Every time I call they forward me to voice mail and they constantly mess up my prescriptions. I am CONTINUOUSLY leaving them voice mails, never getting anything resolved, having to drive to their office, and spending a lot of time on the phone with pharmacist. Every month they do something to screw up and make me drive to their office to fix it. They have never sent my prescriptions to the right pharmacy. When they do send my prescriptions to pharmacies there is always something that causes a delay; my doctors office constantly misspells my name and never gets my birth date correct. It is a circus more than a doctors office. If you have a lot of time and patience and enjoy doing remedial tasks over and over again I highly recommend you give Imperial a shot.

Several times over the last fifteen years I have been a patient of ICFM. One instance stands out, however. I was about 48 hours from a major surgery to my neck, and decided to check with Angela Purcell. They agreed to see me immediately, and correctly diagnosed my pain as being a severe gout attack, and not a herniated disk causing nerve pain. The surgery would have taken three months recovery, caused life long voice issues, and I would still have been in pain, while in a neck cast. Imagine my gratitude, and this is just one instance of the outstanding patient care the entire staff consistently provides. Thanks!!

I avoided the doctors office for years, not because I have medical problems, but because I dont have them. But there comes a point in your life where you must get everything checked out to verify that you are, in fact, as healthy as you feel. I chose Imperial Center Family Medicine because they were located near my work location. I was so pleased with the staffs smiling faces and helpful manner. I would recommend them to anyone if you are looking for a positive experience. I never had to wait for my appointment and they are always there for a referral or general questions. Thank you, ICFM!

I have been going to ICFM since they opened, and before that to the practice that preceded ICFM - almost a total of 30 years. Dr. Jacokes, as far as Im concerned, is as good as it gets - professional, kind, knowledgeable, thorough, respectful of my questions and wishes, patient - I am so thankful to have such a terrific doctor. I am have been many times to the office and have always been treated with courtesy and professionalism and competence by everyone - PAs, nurses, receptionists, lab staff. I have recommended ICFM to my own family members, and absolutely would to anyone else.

Fantastic practice. Im able to get appointments very quickly (scheduling is available online and I never have to wait more than a few days) and theres been very little wait time when I come in for an appointment. I cannot speak highly enough of Hita, either- shes always friendly, patient, and receptive to my concerns. It feels like she truly cares about helping me and shes extremely knowledgeable. I also love that I can message the doctors directly and theyll actually reply- usually its a nurse or receptionist with other practices. Id recommend ICFM to anyone.

In my opinion only, this practice is COMPLETELY centered around the drug reps and whatever drug they can give you versus working with the patient on the problem. I am no longer a patient at this practice because after 15+ years, they still cant get my name right, I wait too long EVERYTIME I GO see the doctor and last visit, I had to sign in electronically on an iPad type device after having to watch a commercial for a drug. That is so not cool and the practice has gotten too big and they are not listening overall to the needs of this ex-patient.

I thought they were great. I felt like I was well treated, and enjoyed my PA. But the first time I had an issue with a bill that I thought was excessive (and certainly more than they have ever charged before), they started giving me the run around. Two months later, the issue is still unresolved, as they refuse to answer my questions or address my concerns. I am so disappointed, I will not be going back, and will be letting everybody know that they will over bill you, then refuse to listen to your concerns.

Giving 1 start as I dont have any choice to choose less than that. I had a worst experience with these people( wrongly treated to my wife as they misinterpreted our need as they wanted to.And which wasnt told to the patient at any point of time until patient was charged(for money?)) , I will never go there and never recommend any body. For your comments below, I know how the insurance works. Is it a confusion? , But it costed me.. Dont blame on insurance because of your mistake.
