This place is a joke. There is no personalization what so ever. They can basically treat you for the flu or an ear infection. I have anxiety/panic disorder. Been under control on my own until last sept when I had a decline in my health. Had my hormone levels checked, blood work and some recent xrays. They should have my file from my previous 2 doctors spanning almost 18yrs. I have been using zanax since Sept. Not everyday but in recent weeks, I have been needing one tablet a day. Until we can find out the root cause of my pain, my anxiety has returned. Even had a full panic attack 2 weeks ago. First time in a decade. I did not want to be prescribed a medicine that will cause side effects, weight gain and loss of sex drive. On top of that, takes 6 weeks to even feel the effect if the medication is even working. I believe my anxiety is situational. I was blown off, nobody returns phone calls. Was told they wouldnt refill my prescription even when the P.A. didnt supply enough until my next f/u appt which was over a week ago. Well now she is on vacation and was told I would just have to suck it up and wait. THEN Dr.Bender got involved, he also rejected the refill because when he checked my express scripts and saw both my OBGYN and prior doctor ( who Dr bender told me to go back to) had over the course of one year prescribed this medicine twice....in one year. Basically making me feel like Im bouncing doctors when he was the one who told me to go back to my prior doctor since he doesnt believe in zanax. He had a bad situation with a patient so therefore that one person apparently ruined it for me?! Its like a cattle herd, they dont know you or your situation. Let alone can never get an appt. No wonder their prior reviews are less than stellar. Maybe its time to reevaluate and understand that they work for us. Their job is to help us. Not dismiss us like we dont matter. Never again.

My sisters family has had perfectly adequate care at Amherst for a number of years. Recently, she saw her family practitioner, Dr. Gustin, for an unrelenting throbbing headache shed had for over 10 days. Dr. Gustins advice? "Go see my wife (the neurologist). I cant do anything for you." Having been dismissed in such an offhand fashion and in blinding pain, my sister literally stumbled out to the parking lot and burst into tears. I am appalled by this treatment. When did doctors become so lazy and callous?

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. Worst doctors office I have ever been to. They have refused to see my daughter two times claiming they are overbooked. Her regular pediatrician from birth is an hour away because we have moved and I have needed to be seen asap and they have turned me down. When I told her regular pediatrician this he was appalled and said no doctor should ever turn a child in need away. I wholeheartedly agree. The billing department is also terrible. Wouldnt recommend.

Would not prescribe medication for muscle spasms saying they didnt know enough about other medication Im taking to feel comfortable. Ive been on these meds for 16 years and taken muscle relaxers multiple times without ill effect. I suggest folks find doctors who have an understanding of pharmacology to allow them to make reasonable decisions regarding treatment. They provided none. The physicians assistant was pathetic.

Ive called several times to make an appointment for a DOT physical over several hours and I havent been able to talk to a real person yet. I dont like all the automated messages. What happened to good customer service? I think Id get better / faster results if I made a trip to town and stopped by in person, ridiculous!

I and my ex-wife have had nothing but good experiences with this practice for the past 16 years. They have been efficient and friendly in all my dealings with them. When I have had medical concerns outside of their sphere of knowledge they have set me up with specialists who can help me.

Worst experience ever, they cannot make a simple referral to a specialist without screwing that up. This is the most unprofessional doctors office I have ever been in, never going back ever, would rather go to the emergency room than deal with these people.

Every time I call to make an appointment I get a run around and told they dont have any appointments available and to call back. And when you do finally get in the girls working the counter are rude.
