As the saying goes, pets are a part of the family. And as such, the golden standard for veterinary clinics is treating the patient-animals as their own... and Guilford Jamestowns staff does!! My vet-hating, people-shy dog actually lights up when we pull into the parking lot and his tail whirs like a helicopter blade when he sees the staff. After being a patient at only one other vet clinic since a puppy (8 years), in December 2012, I trepidatiously made an appt at GJVH for my hurting dog who had a less-than-satisfactory surgery at the other vet. Dr. Magnotta and her staff quickly jumped into action ... and went above and beyond to help my dog recover! They recommended he board there for a few days so he would be under vet supervision and their main concern was his comfort - they gave him daily warm leg compresses and multiple belly rubs to help him heal and feel at home. Dr. Magnotta made recommendations for different and additional therapy courses (than had been given to us by the other vet) which she felt would expedite his recovery, and it worked wonders! Beyond the medical care, they consistently kept me updated with emails and phone calls - without my asking. Service like this is hard to find these days and without Dr. Magnotta and staff I dont believe he would have healed as well as he did. For veterinary knowledge, compassion and extraordinary animal (and human) care I give this clinic an A+++++! Any pet would be fortunate to be a GJVH patient.

Dr. Kennedy and her staff have provided services for my two dogs since I moved to North Carolina four years ago. I was blown away the first time I visited Guilford Jamestown by the care and the attention they showed me and my pets. I could tell that they were really focused and passionate about their jobs, and they made me feel involved in the entire process. Fortunately my pets have been blessed with good health for the most part. Theres only been one instance where we had to do anything above and beyond the normal. Dr. Kennedy took the time to listen to my concerns and explain all of our options. I didnt feel rushed to make a decision which is what I had experienced with other veterinarians in the past. Over the years I have gotten to know many of the staff members, and they all treat Toby and Casey like they are their own pets. On the rare occasions when me and my wife are out of town and cannot take the dogs, I feel completely comfortable leaving them in their care. Their services are top notch. I give them two thumbs up!

Ive been a client here since before the "new" building. Dr. Kennedy and other vets since have been with me through several beloved pets. Currently my senior cat is being treated by Dr. Taylor, whos doing a great job with her. She was very ill and we were afraid it was time to put her down but fortunately her condition is treatable and not terminal. A month ago she was in very bad shape and now is gaining some of her weight back and running around the house again. The entire staff, though they have changed through the years, from the front office to the techs, to the vets themselves, have always been of the highest caliber in their professions. The practice obviously has high hiring standards, and everyone there treats your animal as their own. The facility is well set up and clean, and patients receive the best medical care available, along with lots of love. I am very lucky that they are very close to where I live, but even were they across town, I wouldnt take my animals anywhere else.

We recently lost our Siberian Husky of 13 years. To help our family with the grieving process, we decided to get a chihuahua puppy. Its been a long time since weve had a puppy, and we didnt take our last dog to the vet often, so we had a lot of questions. Dr. Fuller has been an incredible caretaker for our new family member. Our puppy Christian absolutely loves her, and she always makes us feel like we are her only patients. We never feel rushed, and she takes time to give Christian some affection (and some peanut butter) after a shot. The staff is helpful, polite and despite it always being busy when we are there, they never rush us. The facility is clean, smells great (especially for a veterinary clinic) and has great technology. Their patient online portal is particularly cool. Overall, we are so glad we picked this vet. I highly recommend Dr. Fuller, who loves her patients as much as their owners do!

When we moved to NC almost 20 years ago we werent so fortunate to have found GJVH as our first vet. After struggling for care and proper diagnosis of severe urinary issues with our male cat, we thankfully found GJVH. Thanks so Dr. Kennedys wonderful facility & staff, over the years they have taken care of our pet children even before we had our human children. They have been more than we could have ever hoped for! Though we have had sickness and death through the years, more importantly is the comfort, healing & knowledge that GJVH is always guaranteed to give. We are so blessed to have Dr. McCalls expertise & personal care every time we come in or call! She is always willing to spend any amount of time and answer any questions we have! Thank you to the entire staff for all you do each and every time we need you. We will continue to spread the word of GJVH so many can find the pet care and answers they need!

The entire team here works together to take great care of our Fur Babies and US! We have been using GJVH for a little over a year since we moved to the area. They have taken care of our Filo Sammy until his passing (which they handled with care and compassion), continue to take care of our cat Thelma, and have just started taking care of our newest adoption Cooper. Appointments are always made available by the office staff who is ALWAYS polite and smiling. The Techs are great with each of our pets, taking any special needs into consideration (or bringing peanut butter to distract from nail trimmings). Each of the Vets has been very good with Cait and I making sure we understood our options and what they thought was best for their patient. We happily recommend Guilford-Jamestown Veterinary Hospital!

Having lived in various cities in NC for over 25 years, I have visited many veterinary hospitals. Guilford-Jamestown Veterinary Hospital is absolutely top notch in all aspects. I have met all of the veterinarians and staff members. I have seen them caring for the pets with such compassion - you can see it in their eyes. They Really Care!! From the time you walk in the front door, you are greeted with smiles, genuine care and compassion for your pet’s needs during the entire visit. The staff and Drs take the time to understand your concerns and provide the best options for the care of your pet. I would Highly Recommend Guilford-Jamestown Veterinary Hospital to anyone who Loves Their Pet!!

Dr. McCall is a wonderful doctor, loving on my dog Charlie Davidson as if he belonged to her. It is a joy to see her interact with him and it puts me at ease to see him being taken care of by the staff at Guilford Jamestown Vet. Going to the vet is not a stressful experience for us for many reasons. We can make our appointments online. We can even check out in the same room that our exam is in. This saves time and relieves stress for both Charlie and me! Charlie is 10 years old and this is the only veterinary hospital hes ever been to. Our dog Cookie went there before him and they handled her with care and grace right to the end, giving us wise counsel and advice. I highly recommend GJV.
