We have decided to use all social media to help us get the word out about the terrible ordeal we’ve experienced with Plantation Animal Hospital after being clients for almost 10 years. All the staff recently changed and thats when I should have known better. Our dog underwent emergency surgery on January 14th to have her spleen removed. When we picked her up, we noticed a few outbreaks on her back; however, Dr. Goldberg advised it was a minor reaction from one of the medications given. To make a long story short, our dog’s back severely worsened in the following 2 weeks. To the point where we were referred to a dermatologist for further treatment, since they were completely clueless on how to treat it. We received the biopsy results last week, which confirmed Sasha’s injury, were in fact a thermal burn caused during the surgery performed back on January 14th. Logically, we reached out to Plantation Animal Hospital demanding them to take responsibility for their staff’s negligence and compensation for the expenses incurred. Disgracefully, they denied any wrongdoing and completely dismissed the medical opinion and biopsy results we received from the specialists THEY referred us to. As animal lovers, we wouldn’t want any pet or pet owner to go through something like this EVER again. We will file an official complaint with state and we’ll be pursuing legal action as well. Please help us spread the word in our community…DO NOT take your pet to Plantation Animal Hospital.

No Support, No Compassion, Money Money Money. This review is coming from someone whos positive and very optimistic, but my experience with the staff at Plantation Animal Hospital was nothing but negative. I think we can all agree you want to take your pet to a vet that you cannot only trust, but goes the extra step. My visits consisted of a simple shot that my dog needed every 28 days. Each time I would go it would be an hour occasion, waiting around then having to get an initial exam each time I would see a new vet. With each initial exam came an additional cost, not my fault they have the turnover in staff that they do. The shot itself takes all of 15 seconds AND the vet I am going to now is teaching me to do the shot myself to save me time & money, cause I guess they actually care about their clients. Dr. Goldberg has zero compassion and was rude to us on several visits. Another vet tried to sell us SAMPLE products! Yes sample products, they could not even ring them up correctly because their werent in their system since they were SAMPLE products. Lastly, I called to get my dogs medical records (since Im changing vets) and they told me there would be a charge for them to send them to me OR for me to pick them up. A charge for my dogs medical records after Ive spend hundreds at your business? Goodbye. Whether if you are new to the area or looking to switch vets, dont waste your time and money at this place.

I brought my dog, Kaylee, to Plantation Midtown to see Dr. William Marks because she needed a dental cleaning and a couple extractions badly. The veterinary technicians were extremely friendly and made me and Kaylee feel welcomed. Dr. Marks is professional and to the point and I appreciated his honesty during my dogs initial consultation. When Kaylee had a reaction to a vaccination that she received by Dr. Marks, he encouraged us to come back and gave her an antihistamine for no charge. I felt like he cared about my dogs wellbeing and that was important to me in a DVM. After a week had passed, I brought Kaylee back for surgery. They called me as soon as she was done and waking up. When I picked Kaylee up in the afternoon, she was happy and looked comfortable. This animal hospital is the best for their wonderful staff and prices. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to feel comfortable with who handles their pets.

I brought my parrot there just for a wellness checkup with Dr. Z (rest her soul) and paid over $350 for a less than 30 minute appointment. The wait in the waiting room was longer than the appointment itself and I had to deal with a huge scary dog trying to get at my bird the whole time. ...What makes this really insulting is that even though I used to deliver lunch to them a lot, not only did they not recognize me (the lowly delivery person who brings their food), but they were terrible tippers every time. Do they think gas is free? I didnt complain about their outrageous office visit fee, but come on -- if you cant afford a decent tip when there is no delivery charge, then you cant afford to order delivery -- bring your lunch or go get it yourself and use your own gas!

After 20+ years as a THRILLED customer/client here, so disappointed --theres a really bad vibe w/ new ownership. Coming to this vet w/ several pets has been like "home away from home" for several decades, with health care, health scares, surgeries, boarding, EVERYTHING. Ive always recommended this place heartily to anyone, mainly b/c of the staff, both support medical staff and the front staff and a few of the vets (though theres been quite a change-over during the years). A few vets but mainly the staff keep me coming back. The recent new owners have changed the feel, the service and NOT FOR THE BEST. I will not be back. VERY, VERY SAD. I cannot recommend.

I went to Plantation Midtown Animal Hospital for a second opinion on knee surgery for my dog. They were able to see me the next day and were all very friendly and professional. Dr. William Marks was so gentle with my dog and explained everything that was going on with knee her to me in an easy to understand manner. He even brought out models of a dogs knee to show me what was happening - my regular vet did not go into that depth of explanation. I was so impressed with everyone in the office. Highly recommend Plantation Midtown Animal Hospital.

I brought my new puppy in for her first exam and I had a great experience. Dr Goldberg is wonderful she took the time to explain to me things about my puppy. front desk staff was very friendly, Techs were wonderful after Dr. was finished in the rooms the tech took the time to show me how to clean ears and gave me ideas on how to brush the teeth. great experience over all.

YOU REALLY NEED TO CHANGE THE "EMERGENCY" TELEPHONE NUMBER ON YOUR DOOR TO GO TO A DIFFERENT VET OTHER THAN THE ONE YOU HAVE WHICH IS FOR LeadER, THE 24/7 EMERGENCY VET ON STIRLING ROAD IN COOPER CITY. THEY ARE PRICE GOUGING AND PREYING ON PEOPLES EMOTIONS POST-IRMA. THIS TYPE OF PRACTICE IS AGAINST THE LAW AND THEY HAVE BE REPORTED TO THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE.

I have a 6 year old cat that Ive brought there 6 times. Since the new owners it hasnt been a good experience. Always a different vet and theres a cold business feel that just doesnt work for me. Their credit card machine didnt process my payment. They called me and acted like I was trying to not pay them. Really rude-it will be the last time I bring my cat there.

Ive been going to PAH since 1999. The only vets I will use. My dog literally RUNS in. He gets SO excited to see them. He is so much trouble and they still treat him like family! I have boarded him while on trips and he happily goes to the back without a second look back. I will never go anywhere else. Recommended 100%!
