Mt. Tabor Animal Hospital truly holds the pet’s well-being as first priority. Weve had the honor of having seven dogs and one cat over the years (all but one was rescued). The first time we met Dr. Brad Craig we knew he was THE veterinarian to care for our pets. From the moment we took our first three dogs for an appointment – it was VERY clear our dogs were in the hands of a knowledgeable, progressive and caring doctor. Our first two dogs lived to be 16 & 17 years in part to the superior care they received from Dr. Craig and the staff at Mt. Tabor Animal Hospital. As recently as three months ago on Feb. 7th, we had a Black & Tan Coonhound who was 14 years old and in great health until the moment something ruptured in her head. Most Veterinarians will rarely see a large breed dog live this long and probably never see a Coonhound live to be 14 years old. Even in our beloved Holly’s final moments – Dr. Craig, Dr. Teuschler & the entire staff of Mt. Tabor Animal Hospital were as caring and compassionate as if Holly was their longtime friend. We were all together with Holly until her last breath and they gave her the dignity and love Holly and all pets deserve. With all of our dogs and cat – Dr. Craig has always explained each issue in detail, referred them to a specialist if needed & performed surgery with outstanding results. We know that under the care of Dr. Craig and Dr. Teuschler our beloved family pets have lived many many happy healthy years longer than they would have under “general” care. We still have some of the original 7 dogs – Dakota 13 years and the “pup” Lance is who is 7 years old -both are happy healthy dogs. If you want the best care for your pets call Mt. Tabor Animal Hospital Now.

You will not find a better animal hospital than Mt. Tabor Animal Hospital! You will not find a better staff than the staff at Mt. Tabor Animal Hospital!! And you will not find a better veterinarian than Dr. Brad Craig!!! My family and I have been going to Mt. Tabor and Dr. Craig for as long as I can remember. We have had a total of 10 dogs and 5 cats combined throughout the years. Dr. Craig and the entire staff have treated every single one of them with care, compassion and as if they were their own pets. Just within this past year, Coco, our 3 year old Pit Bull, developed some sort of large growth on the top of one of her front paws, which caused her to have a slight limp and show favoritism to that leg. We did blood work, x-rays, a biopsy, specialist referrals, you name it! Luckily, it was not cancerous. We explored every option possible. In the end after Dr. Craig spent countless hours at the office and at home researching the best possible approach to this never before seen case, we decided not to do surgery to remove Coco’s toe or leg and just continue to treat it with medication and check-ups because the risks out-weighed the benefits and her quality of life. Today, Coco is a happy, healthy pup and is slowly showing less and less lameness to her “special” leg. She runs and plays with her sisters, Sadie and Gabby, just like any other happy, healthy dog. I can never express fully just how truly grateful I am for the care, compassion and dedication that Dr. Craig and the entire staff at Mt. Tabor have shown throughout the years to our babies. If you want the best possible care for your pets, call Mt. Tabor Animal Hospital today!

We had been taking our cat to this hospital for four years mainly b/c it was nearby to where we lived when we first moved to the area. At first the service was decent, although they seemed a bit expensive. However, service seemed to decline in the past two years and culminated in this last event. On our last visit with our cat, we explained our concerns about our cats health, but we were rushed by the vet and our concerns were not addressed - the cat was said to in okay health. It seemed like we were on an assembly line and the vets portion of our care was only supposed to be a few minutes - too bad for our questions. A month and a half later our cats symptoms got worse and we ended up taking him to another vet. We requested our cats records for the new vet and they were sent piecemeal from Mt. Tabor - it took at least three calls to have the necessary information faxed over. It was too late to save our cat. When we did a one-second google search of the symptoms he had earlier, we were able to find what the issue was - why didnt the vet? We are so disappointed with the level of service we received at Mt. Tabor and the management of the facility which seems geared to getting more and more money and giving less and less quality service. Losing an animal is extremely hard and it is worse when one second guesses the level of care received and wonders whether the loss could have been avoided.

As a client of Dr. Brad Craig, Jr., I brought a rescued cat (that I had found only 30 minutes prior) to his hospital to be evaluated, given shots, and neutered. Because I was working with the Forsyth Humane Society I was given a voucher to help defray the costs of the cats medical bills. I was not aware of the fact that Dr. Craig is the only vet in Forsyth County who does not honor vouchers from the Forsyth Humane Society. His explanation is that he has had problems with being reimbursed by them in the past. The other vets that I spoke with said theyd had no such problems with FHS. Furthermore, I have not been able to find any animal rescue organization that Dr. Craig works with. Yet he is apparently quite prosperous, owning his animal hospital, a boarding/grooming kennel, several rental properties, and a very nice primary residence. Therefore I do not see any reason for his pleading hardship that he might not be reimbursed for helping a rescuer and the rescued animal. As someone who has rescued countless animals in my lifetime, I must question the values of Dr. Craig. I also question his humanity, his soul and his conscience. Needless to say, I am no longer a client of his, but have found many wonderful veterinarians in the county who wholly support the efforts of the Forsyth Humane Society, and other rescue organizations, by giving their time and their services.

I recently patronized your facility for the first time. I am not a usual client there, but just needed my dog’s nails clipped, and your facility is very close to my house. Your front staff couldn’t have been nicer! Very friendly both on the phone and in person. When the two vet techs came in to clip my dogs nails, it was a totally different story. Neither one said hello, or were friendly at all. One tech ( I did not catch her name, because she never introduced herself) came in and had the most nasty, horrible look on her face, almost like she was disgusted with her job. That was the first thing I noticed. It took both techs to clip his nails, one holding him, and the other clipping. There was literally ZERO compassion in the tech clipping his nails. She was not gentle, pulling his legs back and to the side too far. He’s an older dog, with bad joints. I had to tell her to please be a little more gentle, as she was probably hurting him. When they were done, they just got up and left. They didn’t say a word. I had to pop my head out and ask the front desk staff if I was free to go. Before the visit, I was considering coming there permanently with my animals. After this visit though, I will be happy to drive out of my way to go somewhere else. How disappointing!
