Wife went in to see the doctor because she had shingles. Doctor refused to agree it was shingles and said it was a rash instead. Her arm had been tingling for a week and then a rash developed. Nerves do not tingle with you have a rash, but nerves tingle days to weeks be fore a rash appears in the case of shingles. Also the rash is confined to one arm and her shoulder. this is very typical of shingles because the nerves are what releases to virus. therefore the only places the rash will appear is with in the nerve path. In my wifes case it is the cervical nerve. this is why the rash does not spread to other part of the body, because one can not spread the virus theirself. the nerve is the only thing that can release the virus. I think this doctors office felt as if they needed the last word. They were not about to let a patient diagnose the problem for them, so to prove their assertiveness in the matter they made their own "different" diagnoses. I can believe a doctor, someone dedicated to helping people of illness, would stoop to this level to feel as if they were in charge of the situation.

I would not recommend this office if you are looking for any kind of real, educated, experienced and responsible doctors. This office sets you up with student doctors who have to finish this program to actually graduate, and they have to come in and visit (sometimes even they bring in students....so students teaching students), gather info and then leave to talk to their attending (actual doc) and then come back with a plan in place. Not efficient for ANYONE with health issues. Getting refills is a joke. I had to call patient advocate twice to get refills done and now I am waiting for my medicine to be filled again. We have now decided to move on to another office due to the lack of professionalism and respect by the staff at aultman. They dont listen, they dont treat.....youre nothing but a number here, and they certainly dont give a damn about actually doing their jobs.
