While I was initially terrified of the idea of having Lasik, I knew rationally that it was safe and beneficial. Its now six weeks after surgery, and my vision is far sharper than it ever was with contacts. I am SO GLAD I took the dive and went for Lasik at LVC. Here are some of the things that LVC did that put me more at ease: 1) Pre-op - They answered ALL of my questions at the pre-op and were incredibly patient. I had a million questions... and I wanted to know the reasoning behind each test they performed. At no point did they ever attempt to sell me anything; it was actually quite the opposite. I felt that they were responsibly making every effort to see if there was any reason I was NOT a good candidate for surgery, because they want each patient to have a wonderful result. 2. Surgery day - this might sound weird, but I found it comforting to be scheduled on a surgery day with other patients. Watching the person before me walk out of the surgery room - without glasses! - smiling... was awesome. They also have a window where whoever drives you can watch your surgery (if they want), which I thought indicated a high level of confidence. My mom, who watched, said it was really impressive. 3. Surgery - Im not going to lie, having your eyes operated on is scary! But I literally cannot think of a single thing they couldve done to put me more at ease. From the reminder to wear warm, comfy clothes to the step-by-step guidance throughout the process, the staff went above and beyond to make what is inherently an uncomfortable minute and a half as good as possible. 4. Recovery - After youre done, you literally sit up and can see things (!!!) and walk to an exam room WITHOUT GLASSES! This was the best. While I was recovering, I experienced a tiny bit of discomfort - like a bit of dirt irritating my eye - and they immediately gave me more numbing drops. That was the only "pain" I felt during the entire recovery process, and its now six weeks later. After about half an hour, I was free to go home, and I followed their advice to sleep for a few hours. When I couldnt sleep any more, I listened to some podcasts. That evening, I went out for dinner - and I could SEE EVERYTHING!!!! 5. Now - The biggest change has been noticing how sharp and crisp everything looks. Its not just in focus, everything looks much better than when I was wearing contacts. Its amazing. I do use eye drops to prevent dryness, but it is nowhere near as time consuming as wearing contacts, and they say I may no longer need drops in a few weeks time. Overall advice: Dont wait! If youre even considering Lasik, just go in for a pre-op to find out if youre a candidate. The staff really will answer all of your questions and put you at ease. Im so glad I did this now instead of waiting years! The only suggestion I have for the otherwise flawless staff is that they consider recommending to patients to download a few podcasts or audiobooks before surgery, to listen to that first day. Youre supposed to keep your eyes closed, which precludes most of my "sick day" activities (book, TV, movie), but podcasts were perfect.

Before getting my surgery I checked many other Lasik providers in the area, heard horror stories from some of my friends about a few & was told by some that at my age it wasnt worth it. From the 1st initial phone call up till now I must say that I picked the right place to go. There are just too many people for me to thank & I dont want to leave out anyone, so I will just say from the start to the finish I wasnt treated like they all had known me forever. There was absolutely no pressure from anyone throughout my treatment to have me get the surgery. In fact after they were able to get it done much sooner than they initially thought. Everything is explained to you from the procedure down to the last penny it cost. I must say at 59years old I have been burnt more than a few times over those years, this was not one of those times. I just cant say enough how pleased I was throughout the whole thing. The day of my surgery I was treated with kindness & extreme professionalism. Any questions I had were answered promptly & in terms I understood. The entire procedure from start to finish was around 2 hours. Most of that was prep & the waiting for my wife to come & pick me up. I went to my 1st appointment after the surgery for my checkup. Everything looked good. On my second appointment, less than 2 weeks after the surgery I now see 20/15 in both eyes. I even surprised the Tec at how well the surgery came out. I see better with each day as I heal. I have even gotten to the point that I dont use reading glasses half as much in the beginning, which is unusual. I 100% recommend Lasik Vision Centers of Cleveland to all my friends & hope this review helps any of you considering the Surgery. It is the best decision I have ever made. Thanks again to all the wonderful Staff & Doctors that took care of me & continue to monitor my progress!

I went to four different Lasik providers before deciding on LVC. After visiting all four, LVC was the easy choice. Unlike the other providers, there was no sales pressure at LVC, just an informative consultation to become familiar with the surgery center, the staff, and the procedure itself. You are provided all the information you need to make an educated decision on whether or not to get the procedure done, and have the opportunity to set the appointment when and if you are ready. At the other providers, they treat you like a subscriber to some service, not a patient for surgery, assuming just because you went for a consultation that you are ready to have the procedure done right then and there. On surgery day, the staff makes you as comfortable as possible and answers any questions you still may have. Then you meet Dr. Eippert, who is just as helpful and understanding as the rest of the staff. The procedure takes only minutes per eye and is painless, leaving you to think - why didnt I do this sooner? One week post surgery and I was 20/20! Overall, after visiting several options, LVC was the best overall provider available - they were cost competitive with the most up to date laser technology (others use older models), their facilities are comfortable and well kept, the entire staff is extremely helpful throughout the whole process, and Dr. Eippert is an experienced, considerate, and highly qualified surgeon. I would highly recommend LVC as your Lasik provider, and when you include them in your search, Im certain they will stand above the competition as they did for me.

My strategy was to get Lasik at the best facility for the lowest cost (duh). I researched a number of local and national reviews which narrowed my search down to Clear Choice in Brecksville and Lasik Vision Center in Independence. After experiencing both companies, I determined LVC was for me. Clear Choice has a beautiful facility where you can fill out your application while in a massage chair next to a fire place sipping a latte, but they wanted $900 more than LVC. Ive seen both facilities’ surgical equipment and they both are top of the line. So unless your social status requires all that extra (Clear Choice includes teeth whitening in their billing...really?) and you want to pay a lot for it, go to LVC. Unlike Clear Choice, you will be greeted by actual doctors on day one, instead of being given a cool tablet to be educated by and then meeting with a 20 year old to discuss billing. You will not wait for your appointments as long as you are on time and you will get the best price possible. Obviously everyone is different, which makes price fluctuate. I was quoted 2K per eye, received a $500 credit for having Eye Med insurance, and was given another $200 off just because I asked (I did look good that day). If you pay in full and include tax (financing carries about 15% interest so no thanks) plan on paying between $3,450 and $3,650 for nearsighted correction with a -4.25 or comparable perscription. Clear Choice wanted $4,400 and wouldn’t budge, period. Neither would I, so I went to LVC and got 20/15 vision for less. You should do the same.
